I was tempted to rate this movie a 10 out of 10 just because of the low score it has. Obviously a lot of people on this site have a big stick up their butt and can't just enjoy a movie for its classic cheese alone. If we were to judge this movie on the nostalgia alone it would be at least an 8. Sure Hogan's not the greatest actor in the world, and these kids are kind of annoying, but in a lovable way. Even though I'm not as big of a Hogan fan as I was back then I will always love his movies... maybe not his 3 ninja's movie. But seriously what this movie lacks in quality it makes up for with heart.

This was a decent animated take on a beloved classic. It has a few little problems sure. Some of the voices don't have feeling behind them. Otherwise it's almost a shot for shot retelling of the original with some additional scenes added such as the diner scene from Ben's story. If you're a fan of the original and aren't an asshole you will have a good time.

Everything about this movie as perfect. Then characters, the pacing, the practical effects, the cinematography. I love the interaction between all the characters. This is a timeless classic that can be watched over and over again.

I'll make this quick, I would personally like to tell all the people giving this movie a bad rap "Shut up stupid!" Like the rest of us die hard fans that actually gave it the credit it deserves I love this movie! Although it is not as good as super Mario Brothers 3 the game, it did The best it could for a live action cartoon. I loved it as a child, and I still love it. Still to this day I wouldn't change a thing about it. The cast was absolutely perfect. John Leguizamo played a perfect Luigi. Bob Hoskins played a perfect Mario. And don't get me started on Dennis Hopper as King Koopa! I honestly think the people given this movie a bad rap are just lying because they're scared that their friends would make fun of them. Watch it again you'll love it!!!

This is what I am talking about America. How hard was it for some independent filmmaker to make one of the best horror movies I've ever seen. Not to mention with the same budget I probably have to make my horror movie. I'm not going to get into what it's about it is low-budget, but the story is amazing and the payoff at the end is wow! And the acting is not so bad. I would recommend this to any horror fan that is sick and tired of teenybopper horror films. I am so glad I rented this back when it came out. I have now bought it three times. Once from Blockbuster used, and then it got stolen. Then I bought it from a place called buybacks and it had a different better cover on it. And now I'm watching it on Blu-ray!
