Hellbound (2021– )

Well, that was a surprise
27 November 2021
Warning: Spoilers
The show kept popping up on Netflix, and I decided to try it. It started slow, but it holds attention, especially since you have to read subs since I don't speak Korean ;). As for the CGI, it is good, monsters look great, and I am happy that didn't overdo it, always three, no more, no less. The first surprise I got is at the begging of the fourth episode, actors changed, the pace changed, it felt like almost the beginning of the next season. After a while, you see what's going on, and it is worth it. This is the message for all of those who didn't go past the third episode, there is a cherry on top at the end of the last, sixth, episode, and it's a big cherry :D. Koreans are giving us better and better shows, I can't wait for what will I find next.

We waited so long for nothing...
12 February 2017
I was really looking forward to it. I loved the original series, I even watched it on re-runs.

The problem is too simple. It was a way to much time between original and this, whatever you can call it. They tried with pushing some new faces. Old faces showing up as cameos, one of the best things in original is Sookie, and yet she appears in like 4 min. I know scheduling conflict, but couldn't you find a way. Every joke is so forced, not natural, and a lot slower than original.

The ending is dumb, I expected that it will pregnancy, but what now, wait for new series for 10 yrs more....

Sadness...failed attempt to make something good. Life goes on, this part of Gilmore saga will disappear.

Top Gear: Episode #23.1 (2016)
Season 23, Episode 1

Nice try, but way off...
30 May 2016
I know old TG by heart, I don't know how many times have I watched all the episodes.

Honestly, I was genuinely very happy when the day came for new TG to air, because I wanted to see what have they done. Well, not much.

I am not from UK so my knowledge of Chris Evans is limited to what I saw on TV, I know he is a very successful radio host and real petrol head, but he is not for TV, at least not TV in this format. Some people already said it, too jumpy, to loud, and I don't know why.

Only bright spot is Matt LaBlanc, as strange as that can be. Only in his review of Nomad, I smiled a couple of times.

They announced 7 hosts, and we only saw three (well two and a half, since Sabine we saw for like 3 min), so I am guessing it will be like that for the duration of this season.

Instead of changing the show and to bring us, the viewers, something new, they stuck with the same format, that just don't work without the other three. They even rewrote the power lap times. The guest segment is boring, short and not at all interesting, the only bright spot is a new track.

Too much trouble and not much result.

I am huge fan of TG, and I will keep watching it, but I will not wait for it with the same joy as I used to, Sundays will never be the same (well until GoT finishes ;) )

DC's Legends of Tomorrow: Pilot, Part 1 (2016)
Season 1, Episode 1

I don't know why people like this pilot...
23 January 2016
I have to say immediately that I never had any contact with comics from DC's LoT. This opinion is based only on what I saw in pilot episode.

Whole pilot was funny, and when I say funny, I mean BAD funny.

Acting is ridiculous. Very plastic, there is no flow, everybody is very stiff, if you know what I mean.

Dominic Purcell, I liked him in Prison Break, here not so much, he is to fake, he's trying to hard.

Rip Hunter, English (of course), trying to be funny from time to time, but still doesn't deliver.

Caity Lotz, confused.

Franz Drameh, he looks like he wondered on to a set and started playing the role.

Brandon Routh, very bad version of Ant Man.

Ciara Renee and Falk Hentschel, bland.

Wentworth Miller, bad, but better than the rest of them.

Casper Crump, so Vandal Savage lived for 4000 yrs and couldn't learn English language. I know someone will say, but he was not born in English speaking world, but still, 4000 yrs...

Like I said, I never read the comics and that's very good, because if I did, I know I would be very very angry right now.

I don't know about the future of the show, I will try and watch at least 3 episodes, if they don't deliver by then, they never will.

My personal opinion is that DC is way way behind MCU, and they are trying to catch up, but everything is so fast and so badly put together. At least if you know that you are late, do it right.

UK show and finally something interesting...
1 November 2015
For all the new viewers...it is a very good show, story is good, characters are good, cinematography excellent...everything is very good...

I don't care what everybody thinks...I always liked British shows, comedies, crime series, movies, whatever...and they are very very good at it...

This is very slow show, it builds up and you can't wait to see...even if you do realize what is happening, you still want to see, at least I am...

The cast is great, many actors not known to us, especially those from Denmark, but they do excellent job...

Location, location, location...Iceland, a place to visit...

One problem I had with the show is that, and I am saying this even though I've never lived in such small community, everybody goes everywhere, you can waltz in hospital, sheriffs office, and sit behind his desk..a bit strange for me, but maybe it's just me.

Enjoy the show...
