Not a Zombie movie
30 July 2023
This isn't a Zombie movie. It's a war movie with a Zombie hint. It's 75 percent war movie and the rest is zombiefest. If you like that, good for you. But Netflix tricked me into thinking it was a Full-on zombie movie which it isn't. Don't watch this movie expecting to see survivors running away from zombies. Most of the time they won't even talk about it even after witnessing them as if it wasn't a big deal. The main character is interesting but the female character is extremely boring and lifeless. You don't get to see the antoginist until the end after the first few minutes and a bit in the middle.

Very interesting & enjoyable movie
21 November 2022
Finally a movie where Sunny Deol isn't Sunny Deol. Meaning he isn't his shouting, angry, killing spree-self. The roles he had started doing after his movie, 'Jeet' were starting to get on my nerves. The new cast was awesome as well. I also liked Pooja Bhatt's character very very much. The story is very unique and interesting. This is similar to what American big Techs are doing nowadays to have only favorable reviews for their favorite products. You are not allowed to rate down a movie or a TV show be it 'Rings of Power' or Current Marvel phase movies that have no value. I thought I was not going to like Pooja Bhatt's character but I'm glad I was wrong. Dulquer Salmaan's acting was award-winning. I just felt that if this was a psychological movie, the script should have been non-linear. Also, they should have used more interesting and tense background music, lighting and colors. But we rarely get to see psychological movies being made in India so this should be forgiven.

Same old disney disrespecting source material
21 November 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I was quite disappointed with this movie. It's not a bad movie. It's very enjoyable but the first movie was very faithful to the book. The parts that "The Lion, the Witch, the Wardrobe" were in the movie that were not in the book were actually great and made sense. For Example, when I had read the book, the battle against the army of the White Witch was only hinted and not mentioned in details but I hoped that the movie would show it & it did. Secondly, when Aslan was dying, I wanted Lucy to at least try her vial, which was also done in the movie. But Disney being Disney HAD to add their own boring stuff in this movie. The movie isn't very faithful to the book. The unnecessary parts that they thought would look cool could have been replaced with more content from the book. Aslan's character was like a guest appearance. The use of the Horn, the capturing of the castle etc was done way differently than in the book. The only thing that they showed that was interesting that was not in the book was the attraction between Susan and Prince Caspian. Anyway, you can only hope that Disney respects the source material in the future adaptations but after 2010 it's pointless to even hope.

Full on entertainment
4 September 2022
I really really loved this movie. It was crazy cool. I enjoyed it from the beginning to the end. There wasn't a moment which was boring. First I thought that maybe it's all a dream of the boy because that's how colorful and crazy it was. It was very different from the other movies. The makers probably just wanted to entertain you full time. I wish I had seen it on a big screen. There should have been more movies like this. They can still do it but chances are it would be full of woke crap even if they make it as crazy as this awesome movie. I usually don't say this but I don't know why not enough people like it. I also think not enough poeple know about this movie to be awesome. I myself found it by chance and I'm so glad I did.

Started well but
31 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I was liking this movie as I started to watch it but it started to get stupid later on. The writing was weak. Most of the cast was (were?) good-looking. The acting wasn't bad either. The plot was alright. But the writing went south later on. There were many ways where the remaining could have escaped. Luke could have helped in many ways. Maybe it was his guilt that made him lazy. Gemma could have helped them after getting free. If the writer really wanted her to run to the mansion then it could have been done in a better way, for example, Justin about to come back... But Justin took forever outside and even then Gemma decided to runaway and Paul didn't even ask her to help. Luke could have killed or disabled Justin along with Jonsey. Also when you throw a gallon of acid on someone the way Eleanor did, there are high chances that the drops could also fall on your hands or feet but not one drop came close to her. Also, I personally hated the fact that Eleanor gets to live even though she was guilty as well and Gemma dies. I know good things can happen to bad people and vice versa so Gemma dying was ok but I personally didn't like it that E survived. Maybe someone had to drive the vehicle in the end which apparently was not possible to drive to the cabin early on.

Shark Bait (2022)

Good movie but not great.
16 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I enjoyed watching this movie. I like survival movies like these. It had good thrills & suspense for the most part. Unfortunately, there's something I usually hate about these movies. That is, a monster (shark here) is always a moralist. It chooses who to kill and who not to kill till the end. So someone who has cheated or stolen will always get killed and someone who's a nice person will always survive as if the shark is choosing who to kill first based on their personality. This is unrealistic and stupid. This also makes it a bit obvious and not very suspenseful.

Average movie with some good scenes.
27 June 2022
I didn't like this movie as much as the previous ones. Pratt who is supposed to be the main guy, doesn't get as much air time as other boring characters. Claire's facial expressions were very good. It was good to see some old characters but I kept wanting to see Pratt more. And I hate all this "girl is the key to everything" crap. The black actress was an interesting character. The chase scenes were the only really enjoyable parts. But unfortunately once again the character writing is bad as with other Hollywood movies. But at least it wasn't as woke as other movies.

Unexpected & underrated
30 May 2022
I wasn't expecting this movie to be this good. The writing is so good. Sunil Shetty is an anti-hero in this movie. The characters are written so nicely & so realistically. Sunny (Shetty) is neither a villain nor a hero here. He has some good habits & some bad habits like a real person. His friend played by Harish may seem like a very good person but can do anything for his friend even when it means to upset his other friends. Overall I really loved this movie.

Good undderated movie.

Warning: Spoilers
This was a very enjoyable movie. It's so much better than most Hollywood woke crap nowadays. The plot and the characters were really interesting. I was actually more than eighty percent sure that it was that girl that could be evil since she was leading everyone where she wanted, getting everyone killed one by one and asking them to do different things. From the beginning I had a feeling that the priest wasn't as evil as they wanted us to believe. Usually, I don't like it when some movies are obvious but here I was glad that I was right. I'm sick of evil priests, nuns and "good witches". I'm also a (not that huge yet) fan of Stephen Lang so that's another SL movie down. All in all, it was a really enjoyable movie especially if you're done with AAA horror stuff and are waiting for a big popular horror movie you can watch this one until then. If you're not a woke person, you would really enjoy this movie with friends or alone.

Good movie - Predictable ending
1 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I usually like or even love the movies where five or six people are trapped by someone who either wants revenge or his innocence to be proven. This one sounded like one of those movies so I had to watch it, not caring what others thought about it. For the most part, I was satisfied with the movie story. I really liked the movie and the characters. But it was the last portion of the movie (about one third or so) which started to bore me where events that followed were very predictable and had already been done many times in other movies. Firstly, I found it stupid that the main girl was able to knock out one of the main villains with just a human leg and he didn't even defend himself whereas he hadn't even flinched when a guy had stabbed him with a pencil. Even if his leg may have been made out of metal like his left hand, it was still stupid that he went down without a fight when it was a girl hitting him with a leg. Other than that the ending was very similar to many other movies' where it was always a woman who would survive in the end out of the group and it was always the good looking guy who would turn out to be evil. If these things had been changed in the movie it could have been 6 or even 7ish for me out of ten.

Scary But Not Enough
5 March 2022
The reason I had never watched this movie was because I'm a huge Silent Hill fan. I thought the movie would not be faithful to the franchise. But I finally watched it (in 2020). At first, I wasn't impressed but once the main female character enters Silent Hill and "meets" the monsters I was impressed. The movie is just as scary as the games. However it's sad that they paid a lot of attention to the female characters from the game and not many male ones. There's Cybil, there's Anna & her knife and even Lisa. But there are many interesting male characters they could have shown such as Vincent from SH3, Eddie from SH2, Jasper, Walter Sullivan & Billy Locaine from SH4 but unfortunately they paid more attention to the female characters. I also don't understand why they changed Cheryl's name to Sharon. But maybe they wanted to change the whole family since Sean isn't Harry Mason either. Other than that it was a really enjoyable and scary movie. Even though Dahlia was the antagonist in SH1, I kind of liked the main antagonist a bit. I also wish Sean Bean had more air time.

Thoughoughly enjoyable ride
3 March 2022
I loved this movie for many reasons. But other than the action, the special effects and the story, I'm going to mention something else that I liked. This is how diversity is done without making a franchise woke or political. The movie had black and Asian characters who were shown as normal people and not something special because they were non-white. There were characters that were evil and weak and they weren't necessarily all white. I loved most of the characters in this movie. If more people did this with their movies, the movies would be awesome. BTW I'm an Asian.

Good first half.
1 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I liked the tention and the scary atmosphere in the first half of the movie. But the second half wasn't as good. In fact the last twenty or fifteen minutes were so obvious that I figured out what was going to happen and I was right. This has been done way too many times in the movies. Also, when her dad finally comes to save her, isn't he also in the portion of the road for the toll? I wish they hadn't ruined it like this. It would have been better if both of them had died or both of them had survived and tricked the toll man.

Overrated
16 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I really wanted to love this movie. In fact this movie was the reason I watched all the movies in 'Infinity Saga'. Well, all except 'Captain Marvel'. The visuals and special effects are awesome but I didn't like many other things in this movie. I wanted to hate Thanos but I kept liking him and feeling sad for him. This is not how I usually want to feel for a baddest villain. Christ Pratt was made a fool of just to please the leftists since they hate him so much. I hated Gamora in this movie. The only adult female characters I liked in this movie were Black Widow and the Scarlet Witch. Thankfully Captain Marvel wasn't THAT annoying. There were many illogical things here and there even for a sci-fi fantasy movie. I see where this is going. By removing the main characters of Avengers they are giving way to a woke avengers movie. Again, I really wanted to love this movie after the hype but it was really messy half of the time. It's no way near Titanic which was a standalone movie whereas this one was a built up of about twenty movies.

Good Movie
14 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I liked this movie. It was nice. When I first saw Parineeti, I thought she was going to be an annoying and misandrist feminist but thankfully it was the opposite. She was slightly weird but very likeable. The other two main cast are my favorites actually especially Sidharth Malhotra and I liked them both in the movie too. I just thought that the ending shouldn't have been THAT abrupt especially after winning back the trust of the father of Meeta. There was lack of background music in this movie but it didn't feel off.

V. Underrated Mystry Crime movie
4 January 2022
I was amazed by this movie. There are a few psychological (genre) elements in this movie too. But it shouldn't be watched as a psychological movie but rather a mystery crime drama. The middle part of this movie was beautiful. I've seen many Bollywood movies where the terrorists are Muslims and killing in God's name and haven't been impressed much with the character writing. Throughout those movies, the characters try to explain how not every Muslim or Hindu is bad but the dialogues are usually not well written. This movie did it differently. It showed both sides of story fairly with the terrorists not necessarily being extremely evil with almost no morals. The movie makes you feel bad for the police. I still don't agree with the police using violence for answers but there was more to this movie than that. For me it was a psychological drama about a single character fighting with his own demons and at the same time trying his best to clear his name.

Don't waste your time
3 December 2021
I'm neither white, nor an American, nor a Christian. But this is plain horrible. What a cringe worthy thing! What is wrong with Hollywood seriously? How many more agenda based shows & movies would you make? I don't know why the writers put agenda before a good writing that would be loved by the audience. How you are making money is a wonder. I really hope that the studios like you go bankrupt so we don't have to waste our time on politics when we want entertainment.

Tiny Entertainment, Huge Agenda
11 September 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Another franchise going further in the direction of the leftist/liberal agenda. Horrible acting, horrible writing, unbelievable characters, pathetic script. This movie is not made for entertainment but it's another leftist/liberal message.

The writers were like, 'Oh let's kill the athletic white man first because well, he's an athletic white man. Let's call someone "European a-hole" but let's not call any black or Asian person an a-hole. Let's kill all white men first and leave only women for the end. Also, let's make all the evil people behind this as men and ninety nine percent white. But wait, the evil white man needs to have a family and the person behind the intelligent rooms must be a female to make her look more intelligent than men. Oh but wait, she can't be evil because she's a female. OK so let's make the evil man force his wife and his daughter to use her intelligence in an evil way so they can appear as victims. He must be so evil, he would have no problem choking his own daughter and killing his own wife. And of course, the daughter is so intelligent that she can lock up the whole evil team of men within seconds.

Last but not the least. Ben is saved by the female and he can't escape on his own and needs help of the intelligent women who have no problem solving puzzles on their own." Seriously, if they want to make a sequel, this is what might work: New actors. Zoey & Ben are too obvious now. Everyone knows they won't die. Less shouting all the time. Less of ' that character must be saved because it's a female/black person/Asian.' Less of 'that character must either die early on or be evil because he's a white man.' Oh and by the way, I'm an Asian.

I hate to say that I'm disappointed
3 September 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I can't believe it :'( Why would they stray from the path this much? This isn't Ubisoft games. I tried reading the book once & partly didn't understand what was going on so I stopped reading it and after a long time I watched the first movie and liked it very much. I thought of rereading the books but I was more excited about watching the second movie. At the end of the first movie, we are told that there would be more trials. And that is what I was expecting. I don't know how much it is related to the book but I was hoping for more trials, more challenges, more puzzles to be solved, more enemies to be overcome made by WICKED etc. Instead this was an escape prison movie with a few unnecessary zombies and hence a huge let down for me. Now, it's not a bad movie. In fact it's a fair sci-fi/post-apocalypse movie. If it was a standalone movie I would have loved it but it's not. And it's so not related to the first movie apart from a few things. I can only hope that the books and the sequel are better but I'm so sad and so disappointed with the direction they took with this sequel.

Could have been better.
29 August 2021
Warning: Spoilers
It was a good movie. Loved most of the cast. But like many other horror or survival movies, more than necessary time is wasted on building the plot. Though the intro was good and colorful, 30 minutes shouldn't have been wasted before things get worse. My other gripe is that since it was a disaster movie, at least 80% of the deaths should have been because of the nature. But unfortunately only the first and the last death out of the group of 6 people is because of earthquake accident & Tsumani while the rest were just murders. Other than that it was a quiet enjoyable movie.

27 August 2021
Warning: Spoilers
The movie was interesting. The gorey booby traps were crazy in an interesting way but the ending was horrible. I like most happy endings & I like a few bad endings too but what I hate are incomplete endings. We should have been able to see the collector's face near the ending & before the credits. Also, I felt really bad for the protagonist. He went to all that trouble for nothing. Hopefully the sequel is better.

Monsters = great, rest = yawn.
18 August 2021
If the writing & the character development had been better, this could have been an enjoyable movie. The monsters seemed fun but their activities, mostly pointless because of the crappy story. Epic battles were... Well, epic but most of the characters where more than necessary focus was put on, were boring & unnecessary.

Warning: Spoilers
The rest of the movies was enjoyable. From the moment I saw the characters, I knew this is Sony & the black girl is going to survive just because she's a black girl. Not that I hated her. In fact all the characters were really interesting but this thing is becoming way to obvious and hense hense less of a suspense thing.
