Best Action thriller made in South Asia, A pride for Lollywood....
23 October 2013
WAAR is the most anticipated film in the history of Pakistani cinema, Such Craze and excitement have never been witnessed for a film in Pakistan and righteously so, WAAR is definitely the Best Action thriller made in South Asia. It may sound ridiculous if you have not seen the film yet but after you will see it, you will have no doubt that WAAR is better than every mega budget Action thriller made in Bollywood. The film is based on true events starting from the rescue of a Chinese engineer by Pakistan's military forces. The intelligence informs the forces about a threat of carrying out a major terrorist attack in Pakistan. A well trained, combat and explosive expert RAW agent Ramal (Shamoon Abbasi) enters Pakistan to carry out this big bomb blast assisted by a female RAW agent Lakshmi(Meesha Shafi)covered as a social worker in Pakistan. The authorities bring in their best agent Mujtaba (Shaan Shahid)who took an early retirement due to a family incident. Mujtaba is brought in a team that includes the best field and operation officers. The field team is lead by Ehtesham(Hamza Ali Abbasi)and operation is controlled by his sister Javaria (Ayesha Khan). All the actors were very impressive and justified their roles. Shaan Shahid have once again proved that he is the best lead actor in the industry, Shamoon Abbasi and Aisha Ali have also justified their roles, Ayesha Ali was very impressive in the climax scenes. Hamza Ali Abbasi who Played Ehtasham was once again spot on, He will prove to be an asset for our industry. Ali Azmat and Meesha Shafi were fine, and so was the other supporting cast, the director Bilal Lashari also appeared as the Snipper. The script and story were very well written and it was very impressive because it was based on true events and portrayed the incidents very well. The dialogs were very well written and some scenes were so well written that you may feel like watching a good Hollywood action thriller. Hats off to the producers for making a big budget film and trusting Bilal with their money. Bilal Lashari have made a strong debut, his work is just so impressive that you will stand up and clap for his magnificent work, His work was as good as Ridley Scott for Body of lies or Brad Bird for Ghost protocol. Hasil Qureshi's Music is very good, The sound effects were very good. It is a great sign for Lollywood, Pakistan's new industry is benchmarking Hollywood and avoiding the Indian formula of song and dance, by comparing it with mega budget Bollywood films I can proudly say that Bollywood should learn from Bilal Lashari and WAAR .

Entertainment guaranteed.. forget the Bollywood go and see MHSA....
5 September 2013
Finally in the third week of its release in Pakistan me and my friends managed to catch this much hyped and anticipated film. We were not expecting so much from it but it is actually way better than a lot of good films we have seen in Bollywood, but comparing it to any Bollywood or Hollywood film will be unfair.please go and watch it with your friends it is really entertaining, it is a mass oriented, comedy ,Sports Drama and will make you to laugh and shout in the cinema. Vasay Chaudhry have done great job with the writing the story was good and the dialogs were really really good. The Directors work was fine but there was some dis-continuity in some scenes and I think they had to cut some parts during editing to reduce the runtime of the film. The Music was good especially the song 'Malal' which was sung by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. As for the performances are concerned we saw some great performances from the Actors Like Shafqat Cheema and Ismail Tara, I always loved Tara on the TV shows and now I am a big fan of Shafqat Cheema His performance was even better than his role in 'BOL'. Hamza Abbasi who played the religious Pakhtoon was very impressive and really stole the show, His dialogs and performance forced us to shout and clap especially the dialogs like 'Pathan ko bewakoof samajh rakha Ha kya' and 'Ye Tamara Papa k lye Ha, Jao ball leke aao'.. Noman Habib the lead actor who played Shahid was very good and so was Humayun Saeed.Nadeem Baig Saab was Good as Akbar's father, Javed and Shahzad Sheikh were average in their roles Mahnoor Bloch was kind of good and the Aini was also okay and Mathira's Item song was a bit of the Bad stunt. All the supporting and junior actors were really good and This was a very good watch we really enjoyed ourselves and I would highly recommend this film to all cinema goers, Hats off to the Producers and filmmakers and Best of luck for their future projects, I can Proudly say that I am a Sialkoti and that Pakistani film industry is moving towards the good days..

Vishal Bharadwaj's Mandola rocks..Go watch it now...
13 January 2013
Vishal Bhardwaj one of my favorite directors, starting from Makree (The Web of the Witch) to Blue umbrella, Omkara and Kaminey he have always been original and spot on creative. Matru ki Bijlee ka Mandola is a political Comedy, a comic approach to a very serious issue, and VB have done it perfectly. The Script is very well written and dialouges are really good. The film is a pure entertainer right from the start till the climax. Pankaj Kapur is the soul of this film, delivering an acting masterclass and a riveting performance and with his rustic dialogue, keeps you hooked the whole time, Pankaj Kapur have given a great energy and passion to this film and he have delivered a stunning performance. Anushka Sharma was good as Bijlee, she looked absolutely stunning and beautiful. Shabana Azmi was great as the Minister and her performance was really fantastic. Imran khan have done a good job as Matru and he should feel proud about this role, offcourese he is not perfect but he have put in a lot of effort to adopt the Haryanvi accent and credit should be given to him. The music was really good, especially the folk songs, VB have again done a great job with the music. But the show belongs to matru for his excellent performance with great energy and rusty "pencho** pencho**" dialouges. every one in the hall cheered for Matru throughout the film and after we left the Hall "Pencho** Pencho**" was all around the parking area and every one was cheering "Pencho** Pencho**" awesome film hai. I would recommend this film to every one, If you have wasted your money on Films like Khiladi 786, Dabbang 2, Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum and son of Sardars this is the film you must go to and I guarantee it worths every penny.

Dabangg 2 (2012)

Not even Close to Dabangg
25 December 2012
I liked Dabangg and I believe it was a great experiment by Abhinav Singh Kashyap and it was different, Since they left out Abhinav Kashyap for the sequel expectations were not that high. well in Dabangg 2 Their was no Such thing as script and sense at all and Every thing was a bad copy of the original film and it was not even close to Dabangg the Music was bad, the item song was not as good as Munni and the direction was Poor. it was not even funny most of the jokes were really bad, the dialog's were poor and their were a lot of Brand Promotions which made it look like that you are paying to watch commercials. Dabangg had some great jokes like "Haathi k neechay agar Kuttay ki dumb ajaey" and The one where Salman said "Hum un kaminoo k bhaghwaan hain" but this humor is missing in Dabangg 2. Salman Khan was Good and he did his part well but the other actors were not that good, Parkash raj's Role was too Small and he didn't had any good dialog's to deliver and his part looked a little experimental, he was try to change his voice, Arbaz khan and vinod khanna were just below okay and Sonakshi's Acting was average. All in all Dabangg 2 is a big disappointment.it will earn much more than Dabangg but its not even close to it when it come to entertaining and letting go Abhinav Singh Kashyap was a big mistake. If you are thinking about watching it Save your time and Go for Tom cruise's "Jack Reacher" or wait for "Matru ki bijli KA Mandula".

Housefull 2 (2012)
4/10
A Good entertaining comedy, a very good option over the weekend..
9 April 2012
The story of Housefull 2,by Sajid Nadiadwala, is entertaining and gives a lot of scope for comedy. The screenplay capitalizes on this and creates many situations where the audience finds itself laughing out loud.the audience is engaged as the drama moves at a swift pace. Several sub-plots in the screenplay like Max and Sunny's enmity; the secret behind JD's real identity; JD and Batook Patel's (Boman Irani) friendship also provide for ample doses of entertainment. The drama takes a real good turn in the second half, when all the characters somehow land up in JD's palatial mansion. Here, Sunny improvises by the second to make sure that he and the other boys get the girls they want to be with. Even as this is happening, Patil (Johny Lever), an associate of JD's, is so flummoxed that the audience is in splits over his poor condition. To their credit, the screenplay writers have made sure that in spite of the confusion in the drama, the viewer is never confused. The tracks of two brothers (Chintu and Daboo), two friends (Max and Sunny) being reunited, will appeal to the family audiences. The dialog's, written by Sajid-Farhad, are very good for the most part. All the stars have performed really well, Akshay was really good and so were Ritesh and John. The whole point here is to keep you entertained for the film's 150 minute odd duration and Sajid Khan does exactly that. Filled with hilarious sequences, right from Akshay Kumar's introduction to the last wedding scene, Housefull 2 delivers unlimited laughs. The story and the situations that the characters find themselves in, has plenty of scope for comedy and Sajid Khan exploits it to the fullest. While some scenes like those involving the crocodile and snake, were way too over-the-top, action scenes seem to have been forced in. This film for sure will end the series of flop film's for Akshay Kumar.

Agent Vinod (2012)
3/10
AGENT VINOD is disappointing and boring often. The film is an experiment gone wrong.
23 March 2012
AGENT VINOD is a film which has a 15 minutes introduction scene of Saif in the beginning. The film could have been easily brought to 20-25 minutes shorter as the story doesn't have much in it. It's a film that has been made on such a huge canvas that pulls the bar of expectations but what we get on screen is far behind of the hype that the film has generated. The director takes the film over the top because in each of his sequence, one can notice that the film is trying to be clever, but it's actually not! The writers are to be blamed for the half-baked role written for Kareena Kapoor. Her character more so becomes a caricature, thanks to filmy dialogues and poor direction. Also, the screenplay writers fail to maintain rhythm of the film because every scene is followed by some random action and chase scene. Pritam's music is just OK but it's not original. The cinematographer doesn't give any such views which will please the eyes. Sriram Raghavan fails to execute the film because his aesthetics and nuances, this film clearly lacks. It's a lazy attempt and hence it should have been handled well by the director. Saif Ali Khan is fantastic as he delivers most to perfection. He infuses life in the film. Kareena Kapoor is saddled by badly sketched role. It's just a fail..... an epic fail....

A very non Bollywood film, and a must watch film a very good entertainer....
1 March 2012
Warning: Spoilers
London Paris New York is a film about 2 Indians,Nikhil (Ali Zafar) and Lalitha (Aditi Rao Hydari) who meet in London and spend a good time together and they start feeling for each other but due to some reason they had to apart. after few year's they met in Paris and felt it for each other but thing's don't go well and they apart again.Their story ends in New york. The first half of film is very entertaining and it makes you laugh a lot where as the second half is more romantic and dramatic. Ali Zafar and Aditi rao have shared a good chemistry kin the film and both were really superb in their roles, Aditi rao was very hot and sexy while Ali safari was also looking good and both acted very well especially Ali safari's acting at the scene at before end where he express his feelings to Lalitha. The music is very good and it really go well with the tempo of the film. and finally the work of Anu Manon as director was really impressive and she is a much better director than her acting skill's. unlike usual Bollywood romantic film L.P.N.Y is not very lengthy and it is a promising entertainment and a must watch film..
