Star Trek: Discovery: The Examples (2021)
Wow.
In a situation where every second could literally mean the life or death of all around you, don't forget to stop and take up valuable time to state/discuss/evaluate your feelings or the feelings of those around you.
If this is the future of mankind, we won't last long enough to make first contact.
Jasper Mall (2020)
This isn't about the mall.
It's been a while since we moved from Jasper. The mall is not as "dead" as i thought it would be.
That being said, this is not really about the mall or its history. In fact, very little about that is included here.
Instead, we have unrelated clips about random people filmed in and around the mall. We did see a few people we knew, which was kind of fun.
Would have been far more interesting had it included more content about the mall and less about the uninteresting people shown in the footage.
Star Trek: Discovery: Su'Kal (2020)
Worse with each episode
We keep watching hoping the writers will realize they are killing the show and step up their game.
It keeps getting worse with every passing episode, and it is no longer recognizable as a part of the Star Trek family.
Star Trek: Discovery (2017)
She's not that great...
This is feeling more and more like The Michael Burnham Worship Hour and less like Star Trek. In the whole of the Federation, is she the only person who can solve mystery and conflict? Can she not speak above a whisper? Can we move forward with less whispering and crying?
Please diversify the storyline and allow other characters to shine. Many would love to love this show, but it will need to actually BE Star Trek before that happens.
Star Trek: Discovery: Unification III (2020)
Sappy.
I like all the characters, but the dialog seems to be increasingly saturated with sentimentality each week. It's making it hard to focus on and enjoy the storyline.
Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B (2014)
Wow.
I am a middle-aged woman who knows nothing about Aaliyah. I also don't watch Lifetime that often but, this afternoon, their programming seemed to suck the least. This movie came on in the middle of the afternoon after something else I was watching went off; I kept it on for background noise. Began to pay enough attention to start realizing this was going to be a true waste of 2 hours. The dialog is sappy. The acting is ridiculous (although, I think they probably did the best they could considering the material they were given). the "performance" scenes were badly produced and choreographed. I Googled to find out why a movie about a girl that young was being made. What happened to her was horrible, and this was a horrible way to tell her short life story. If this is typical of what Lifetime produces, they need to give up trying to do this on their own.
