Brothers War (2009)
One of the worst movies ever!
This had to be one of the worst, if not the worst movies ever. Like the individual several comments before me said, they called the Russian tank a Panzer. Further, they then tried to, and if I recall correctly, succeeded by blowing a "Panzer" tank up with German potato mashers. Other stupid things that were done: The Germans talked with British accents; The officer and another soldier took cover behind a 6" tree ( like the guy above said). (I know this is all completely random stuff thrown together but I have to get 10 lines) I personally believe that the director, producers, and the nitwit who came up with this story and script should forever be banned from taking any part in the making of a movie.
Ong-Bak (2003)
What a horrible movie!
This was an absolutely horrible, HORRIBLE movie! First of all I must comment on the "music". The disgusting techno trash that was selected for the movie sounded like it was on a CD which was scratched, and played the same 10 seconds over and over again.
The members of the cast, with the exception of Tony Jaa, were incredibly irritating, and it almost seemed that the casting director went onto the streets, and grabbed anyone they could for this film.
Finally, my last comment will be on the directing. During the chase scenes (which themselves dragged!) the director would film Jaa doing something amazing, then film it again in a different angle, and again in another angle.
In a nutshell, I had to turn the movie off halfway through the movie (and would have done it sooner, but I had been sorting a bunch of change in my lap and did not want to fall)and decided to listen to a "book on tape" instead.
If you want to see a great martial arts movie, see the Protector http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0427954/ (also with Tony Jaa); I think you will be a lot more satisfied with this selection.
Lawrence of Arabia (1962)
It simply drags.
It's hard to believe that this movie is ranked in the top 200 much less #35. It dragged, and dragged, and dragged, and dragged, and dragged... 30 minutes was spent them crossing the desert with absolutely nothing spectacular going on with the exception of the typical yelling of the one character who doesn't think they can cross the desert with the hero calming saying they can.
And of course one has to know that there is the typical, "My culture is bad and so I'm going to start dressing up and acting like the culture I'm in because they are so much more righteous then mine is. Basically it was a very disappointing movie.
Oh yes, did I mention it really dragged?
Road to Perdition (2002)
a hard core movie
I believe that the reason that I love this movie so much, is because like a lot of gangster movies, this one is real. You have probably read the summary of the movie, and so I will just give my thoughts about the movie. When the young Michael wants to find out what his father is doing, he doesn't realize what kind of Pandora's box he'll open. Him seeing his father and the idiot son kill that guy realizes that his father is not the perfect man that he thought he was, and he can see why his dad wanted to keep the work he did away from his son. This mistake on both Michael's part and his father's part got the mother and brother killed. Mike Sr. goes after the people responsible and give's them their due. However, in the end like the mistakes we make, comes back to get him. Mike Sr. dies in the end, and Michael Jr. is left alone in the world. Most people hate real life stuff, because they want to get away from the pain that reality brings, but I love these types of movies because it makes me believe that life is not the way we want it.
The Bourne Supremacy (2004)
Decent
The Bourne Supremacy was, in my opinion more or less better than the first. I liked the story line and the action. The acting was also pretty good, although if you talk to my brother I don't ever comment on movies that well, so you might not want to listen to this. Unfortunately the camera man wasn't that good. He couldn't keep the camera still enough to figure out what's going on. Also in the fight scene with the guy he handcuff, he was so close that you couldn't tell whose arm was whose and who was getting shanked and who wasn't. I would recommend it. It is a good movie to see if you have seen the first one. And since I have to fill this up with 10 lines and don't want to spoil it I am just going to put this: Blah.
The Matrix Revolutions (2003)
Two thumbs down
I give it two thumbs down, waaaaay down. The acting is terrible. The fight scenes were ok, but again, too long. Don't waste the money. Or if you do want to waste the money make sure it's not a new release, but on the cheap side.
