I just saw this movie on TCM.

I don't recall the cause of death was ever mentioned in the film. The victim was founded battered at the bottom of the elevator shaft in the basement. A tragedy. Murdered? Perhaps not.

The janitor displayed so much emotion in his exclamations of innocence. By his own admission he admits he was asleep on the job and part of that job was operating the elevator. Perhaps the victim, nervous at being alone in the building after class, saw that she was not alone by the classroom doorknob turning, ran from the room and instead of using the stairs,impulsively decided to use the elevator......but there was no one there to make sure it was on the right floor for pick-up.

Terms of Endearement is one my my favorite movies. Evening Star was entertaining, but not as good. (Some of the situations seemed contrived) But....

The scene at the end when Aurora is surrounded by her family during her last moments was very touching to me. My grown daughter was watching the movie with me and I eased into the kitchen to weep, and I, slightly embarrassed, told her I was having a "mommie moment." I saw this film on TV not too long after my own mother died. She would have loved to have gone that way,peacefully, at home, with her family around her. Me too, for that matter.

Jaws: The Revenge (1987)

I am a Micheal Caine fan--I enjoyed watching him.

Jaws 1 is a classic in suspense--in this film, the rubber band was stretched way too tight and it snapped. Sometimes a classic needs no sequel. Just leave it alone. I thought the female lead was way too silly to be believable. I also read the book JAWS, but enjoyed the movie more---the characterization was better-(in Jaws 1 that is).
