Mr. Robot (2015)
Good series
The cast is entertaining and made the boring parts somewhat more enjoyable to watch, Rami Malek and Christian Slater are most definitely the standouts of the show.
The pilot was so awesome and got me hooked straight away, from the third episode onwards it gets kind of boring and repetitive until the seventh episode when things kicked right back into gear and the final three episodes returned to the awesomeness of the first episode.
It was about five or six episodes in until I realized that Carly Chaikin, who played Dalia Royce on Suburgatory, played Darlene.
It does kind of make you think how much you put on the Internet, how easily accessible it is to anyone who knows how and just how much of everyday life can be ruined via the Internet. I also like how the episodes are titled after video files.
Suing the Devil (2011)
Great and disappointing
I was torn while watching Suing the Devil. I'll just go ahead and say this before I mislead. I loved this movie! Unfortunately one key aspect just about dragged this film under the water. The camera was far too unstable. It was obviously done intentionally by design choice, but it was excessively overdone. Though the courtroom scenes that had you at the edge of your seat, you'd just come to realize that you were only trying to see what the heck was going on. This made these scenes a little hard to enjoy. But not only was it the courtroom scenes; even during quiet still scenes the camera would always seem to be moving, and eventually was giving me a headache. Just to serve as a warning, it's pretty much like that throughout most of the movie, so brace yourself for an adventure of epileptic proportions.
-- However -- The acting was close to brilliant in my opinion. I don't think the casting for the Devil gets any better than Malcome MacDowell because he fits the part perfectly. The rest of the cast all pretty much played their parts well, so I am pleased to announce that there aren't any exceptionally bad actors or actresses. In addition of the immersive storyline, it created a much enjoyable film. For a faith-based movie, this actually surprised me.
The Genius Club (2006)
Cast is phenomenal!
The cast in this movie is sensational!! With memorable characters and excellent music, this is a great piece of work.
It's about these 7 geniuses who are forced to solve the world's problems in one night.
Disregarding that each character is a stereotype, the movie is entirely realistic and is an eye-opening look at the emotions and impact that a social life or a cruel mistreated life takes on these geniuses.
They reveal their deepest secrets, and learn about themselves in the process Original and insightful, with a large cult following that it deserves
100000000000000000000000000000 kudos!
Live Fast, Die Young (2008)
Great character development
What makes this film rise above the rest is the character development. Every character in this film is three-dimensional. They all change, in one way or another, by the end of the film. Whether or not things remain the way they are long after this film ends is unknown, and that adds to the drama. The most important scene in this film is when the characters, as a group, all open up to one-another and describe the hell that their lives in Hollywood bring. Nobody likes the role they must inevitably portray in the Hollywood scene, but the fact is, it is often inescapable. This film gives the viewer some insight into how the other people around them might have felt during that particular time in their lives.
