I Want to Marry Ryan Banks (2004)
better than i expected
Caught this movie on a cold, boring, Saturday night- and it hit the spot. Bradley Cooper, from Alias, caught my eye at first, and I actually got thru the whole movie- and was surprised at the end.
What was the most interesting is a behind the scenes look at a reality tv show, like the Bachelor. I think this movie could have been so much more, if it was alittle more realistic- like wouldn't the lead characters have cameras following them everywhere? regardless, I liked the love story and saw a true connection between Emma and Bradley. Perfect movie to watch, on cable, for free, when there isn't a baseball game on.
Win a Date with Tad Hamilton! (2004)
i expected alittle better.
Ok. So I was the only person over the age of 21 in the theater during a sneak preview (i should have known better). Despite the teenagers running around and making comments during the whole picture, I think I enjoyed the movie- but expected alittle bit more. The relationship between Tad and Rosalee seemed rushed to me and a lot of the characters had very little depth. I thought the acting was well done, especially Josh (Tad) in his first movie. He impressed me the most. The movie went by quickly and was entertaining, but worth the $10 ticket and the crowd noise? I should have waited til it came out on Pay per view. Half the price and I can wear pajamas. I think if you go into the theater not expecting too much, you won't be disappointed. And if you're a Josh Duhamel fan- you'll have a great time!
The Princess Bride (1987)
words cannot describe my love for this movie
Ask any child I babysat for in the 80's if they saw The Princess Bride and they'll tell you their babysitter made them watch it. I probably have seen this incredible and unique film hundreds of times and shared it with every person I know. Even in my college dorm we would play it on the weekends. I believe that it is soooo special it will stand the test of time with no hesitation, this movie is my favorite. words cannot describe my love.... for the Princess Bride.
Lady Jane (1986)
This movie lifted my mind and soul to new heights
I saw Lady Jane when I was about 18 and fell in love with it (and with Cary Elwes). Jane is such an inspiration. She gave up her life for her beliefs. who does that anymore? I love the quote "the soul takes flight to the world that is invisible..." There are so many things I love about this movie. I judge how good a movie is by the impact it has on me.Sometimes I leave the theater and can't even remember the plot.
THIS movie changed my life, for the better. Lady Jane is unique and wonderfully produced, acted and edited.
