Venom: Let There Be Carnage (2021)
2 for VFX
The only good thing about this movie seemed to be the VFX. Everything else made no difference to me as an audience. Story was nothing less than trash, acting was below average, and the length of the move, even though short, was stretched for far too long.
Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo (2020)
Babarchi meets Wafadar
This movie felt like an older Bollywood movie called Babarchi with a hint of Wafadar from the series "Stories by Rabindranath Tagore". If a anything is different in this movie is the inclusion of songs (which I think takes away from the movie itself), Alu Arjun being himself, and fight scenes that goes beyong any logic.
In a nutshell, I felt the runtime of this movie is extremely long and yet the story is not told in a compelling way.
Petta (2019)
What a waste!
This movie, almost 3 hours long is nothing but a huge boasting of super star Rajni. Throughout the movie, there is just a small fued between 2 families and it takes the writer and the director of this movie that much time to tell it.
Here are some of the things that does not reside well with me:
1. If you are showing Rajni as a middle age man who still has his energy and fitness together, than why are you showing his wrinkly arms? Could have been completely avoided.
2. What happens to the girls they fall in love with? They enter the movie to exit without creating any impact.
3. Why was Ganesh Gaitondhe waiting for his death in a chair inside his own hiding place? That was supposed to be Sacred Games thing!
Golmaal Again (2017)
Complete Rohit Shetty
While watching this movie, here are some of the most important things to consider:
1. There is no "real" plot.
2. Nothing will make sense to you
3. This movie will remind you of Shaktiman...
4. You are better off not watching it.
At this point I've realized I have just been wasting my time and yours with this.
Hasi Deu Ek Phera (2010)
Terrible story telling
This movie takes you in a roller coaster of unfortunate events that happens to this poor boy whom I mistaken for the protagonist, but he is not. Dialogues are cringeworthy and predictable.
Even though there is so much that this movie could have been, it is not!
Half Girlfriend (2017)
Tatti
What is up with this movie?? Where does this continuation of terrible love story end? I don't want to get too carried away, but this movie has left me with numerous questions
Super 30 (2019)
What's up with the songs??
It is a beautiful story that is well told. However, what is this obsession with these commercialized songs that does nothing to the story.
The Lion King (2019)
WHO ASKED FOR THIS AND WHY?
This is a "live action" version of the original, which by itself was made entirely using computers. This "live action," however, is also made entirely using computers, but the only difference is that this one has less emotions (sometimes there is no sense of emotions at all), the scene where Mufasa speaks with Simba does not live up to the old one neither goes along with the technology being used these days.
Long story short, the only good thing about this movie is that many people found a job while the filming lasted. Nevertheless, they would have been better off playing the same movie once again.
Aladdin (2019)
Decently done
Almost identical to the original with minor changes.
Mard Ko Dard Nahin Hota (2018)
No one ages!
The movie would have been fun, but there is no point to the whole thing. However, it is far better than BHARAT. Salman ages by the hair color, but in this movie they just change people. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Grand father is played by 2 people.
Master Mani ages backwards
The father remains the same age throughout the movie.
The doctor is exactly the same in both scenes.
That's just time gaps. I will spare you with others for the sake of your curiosity. 😉
Baarish (2019)
It's not so complicated
My rating for this show is an average of various factors that are looked upon. Each one of those will have it's own rating and explanation. Please note that this is how I feel about the show: others might like to differ.
Story/Plot: 2/10
This show involves two families from different social classes, there are arrogant, self-centered, and money driven "rich" kids, and there are complications in an arranged marriage. It is so original for a show from India. LoL. Story wohi hai, only difference is of the platform. This show is in a streaming service rather than durdarshan.
Cast: 7/10
Sharman Josi does not give me the feeling that he can act in diverse situation. He was good in 3 Idiots, in Super Nani he almost plays the same role as he does in this show. By combining those two movies you can get this character.... Not much work there. The rest of the cast does a better job at keeping the show tight and emotional. This includes Shreya: with her "never worked in her life" experience, and Rishi with his "poor people are not people" mindset. They pulled their weight well in the show.
Subplots: 3/10
I understand that Gauravi finding her sister being the surprise model was an element of surprise for the audience. However, it was never mentioned that she was ever interested in it. To top it off, Anuj says that he gave her a chance... What? It felt out of place for him as it was later revealed. This scene was out of place and not tied to anything.
I know this show is backed by the concept of Ekta Kapoor. So was STORIES BY RAVINDRANATH TAGORE. It has the same opening and that similar template of story telling. This is not new nor the best work, but still enjoyable show for this range. I'm going with a 6/10 for this season.
Please note the average of my 2+7+3=4, but I'm hoping the second season will be better. So I gave it 6 instead. Also, it was enjoyable at times. Episode 15 was, in my opinion, the best episode of the season.
The Greatest Showman (2017)
I write sin, not Tragity
Watch the music video and judge this movie for your own.
Captain Marvel (2019)
Last minute project.
This movie made me realize why work of fiction could be dull and boring. At no point during this movie I felt like I was watching a Marvel Movie. There was no actual story that would add to any Avenger Movies, VFX looks like they put all the budget on Infinity Wars: Endgame, and I believe there's a major plothole in the movie.
Bodyguard (2018)
What's new?
Nothing you haven't heard or seen before can be found in this show. The only difference is that this one got backed by Netflix. Otherwise, just another criminal show that revolves around corruption.
Satyameva Jayate (2018)
Wahi purana Katha
It is no different than Race Gurram, but then again it is no different than movies from the late 20th century Just in time where John Abraham is on the roll. The actress in the movie is just a furniture that moves from scene to scene, there is nothing more to her character than the match box - which is used more than other secondary characters.
I rate this average acting and a reuse of script higher than Race 3 and Thugs.
Apharan (2018)
Predictable
Sure you can predict the plot for this, it's about a kidnap. However, can you predict the twists and turns that takes it to episode 12? Something to think about.
The casting is well done and the actors provide justice to their characters to a reasonable height (pun intended).
Hichki (2018)
Get a writer!!
The idea of a teacher with Hichki seems new from the trailer and the sales pitch, but the movie is no different than the movie STAND AND DELIVER 1988. We can only be fooled to a certain extent as the viewers. Therefore, I give 8/10 on Rani's performance, 5/10 to the students, 0/10 on originality and creativity in this movie is non-existent.
Halloween (2018)
Such a great movie.
There wasn't anything to look forward to. The suspense was mediocre at best and the ending was just as terrible.
Race 3 (2018)
Salman Khan!!!
Does this name even need an explanation to know the movie has no premise, logic, plot, or a good direction?
Well, judge them for yourselves. And looking at the IMDb ratings of his movies, he will need another lifetime to be half as good as Hritik Roshan. The hope of him being a good actor should just not be a thing. RACE 3 is a perfect example of it.
Tiger Zinda Hai (2017)
Tatti
This movie has a good concept; I'll give them that, but it is also one of the top five worst movie I've seen this year. Sure, Bhai = fan following. However, audience should also be looking at the way the leads are acting. Quite honestly, He should stop appearing in movies. 28 years in film industry and he still hasn't learned a thing on how to act.
The fights in the movie were done well. I enjoyed that much, but that first 15-20 minutes where Tiger chops wood with his son (similar scene is in Commando; Arnold S.) then he fights wolves (The Grey). Who asked for those copied moments that does not contribute to the narrative?
There's a scene where Katria is hears story from the women. She becomes emotional (I assumed because she failed to show it, but tears were there) yet it did not feel like that. It was not a pleasant experience.
I really liked how they thought of combining RAW and ISI for a single mission. In the time when Indian are being ass about actors from Pakistan, it feels rejoicing to see this being done. So, 1/10 for that. Another 1/10 for the fight scenes, which I later took away thinking how unbearable the movie was.
Arjun Reddy (2017)
Modern day Devdas
The story and the performance of the entire crew makes the movie so believable you want to keep watching it again and again. Or just once because you can't handle the content this movie has to offer. Preeti might not be the most beautiful Paro, but she sure is a better actor than many in the industry.
you will not regret watching this movie for its entirety.
