Trying to balance out those fake reviews

One of the reviewers stated that there were quite a few reviews for this movie from people who obviously only created an account to give this movie a high rating. I checked it out and it's true! But more importantly for anyone considering watching this movie - just don't. It is not worth your time. You would be better off re-watching one of your favourite horrors or basically anything else (like paint drying or grass growing). The whole thing is painfully fake, mind-numbingly boring and the disclaimer at the beginning of the movie that warns you about the film being cursed.... what is even up with that? If you were in possession of a truly cursed film (or any other object), why would you unleash it on the world? I find the fake 10/10 reviews the most nauseating part of the whole experience. They should really be removed. I was shocked to see this movie had a score higher than 2 out of 10 (and that's what tickled me to start reading the reviews).

The Innkeepers (2011)

So Boring

This movie is less scary than an episode of Scooby Doo. The story is very boring. The characters are bland. The acting is wooden. There is no build-up of tension.

It's very hard to believe that the story fails so completely to be scary. Old buildings by their very nature are creepy, but this hotel is less creepy than the office I work in.

The dialogue isn't engaging in the least and since the movie is more dialogue than action, that's a big problem.

All the "scares" are stuffed into the last few minutes of the movie. If I hadn't seen the trailer I would have thought there was no ghost in this movie, but it did pop up at the last second.

Basically, if you've seen the trailer, you don't need to see the movie.
