One Word Of my Advice "DON'T"
8 February 2004
Warning: Spoilers
SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS

Katakuri-ke no kofuku is BAD I remember it now I went to the local Blockbusters I was looking for a film to watch and I picked up the DVD "The Happiness of Katakuris" and thought "Oooh a Cult Film" I watched it and after that I deeply regreted wasting £2.50 of my mothers money on this over rated junk. Definatly one of the most boring films ever made bad editing, bad acting, bad musical performances, bad directing etc. The film had no structure one minute it was focusing on a murder then the next on this soilder falling in love with this girl I was really lost after the first half hour. BUT it did have one or two good points the scene where the fat japanese guy crushes this little japanese woman after a long night of sex and the ending because thats when I got to turn it off.

A Tense bit of fun
1 January 2004
I love The Frightners I think its hugly entertaining it tells the story of Frank Bannister who has a six sense and can see ghosts and the grim reaper killing people by giving them heart attacks and making a record of them, The ending is amazing and it is a very funny but still tense film.

A Great Ending to a Great Trilogy
31 December 2003
Day of the Dead was a great final installment to a trilogy as horific as the "Trilogy of the Dead" it is alot funnier and humouress than the previous two.BUT that doesn't mean its better, There is a rumour of George A. Romero (Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead, Creepshow) is writing a fourth installment "Evening of the Living Dead" i think he should leave it as a trilogy and not transform it to a Quadrilogy, Tho a prequel would be interesting.

The True Source of HORROR
31 December 2003
NOTLD is what started a whole new generation of horror and was an encouragment for film makers to make their own cult films, The film is very creepy and is very tense the fact that it is Black and White is a whole lot better because it makes it look more artsy and horrific.

Great Fun
28 December 2003
Everyone hated "The Toxic Avenger Part 2" but i find it to be dumb fun, it definatly is not Oscar Material and the story isnt the greatest but its still a bit of fun and it is very gory and arousing.

The Godfather (1972)
A Beautiful Film
26 December 2003
The Godfather is a very deep film and quite definatly is Oscar Material after recieving something like 7 Oscars. I will be viewing Part 2 tomorrow.

With a film like The Godfather its best to not know what its like and not now what beauty you are about to view. This is definatly Francis Ford Coppalla's best film.

Ed Wood (1994)
Awesome
21 December 2003
This is a very entertaining film, it tells the true story of Writer, Director, Producer and Actor Edward D. Wood Jr played by Johnny Depp. The screenplay is well written and the directing is great with thanks to the master himself Tim Burton.

You can't help but feel sorry for Ed Wood for trying so hard to achieve his dream and never getting anywhere, it makes you want to see his old films to. The make-up effects by Rick Baker are also very well done.

Touching Story
20 December 2003
Edward Scissorhands is a very unique film it tells the tale of a man who was created by a professor but was never fully completed, the film has lovable characters and characters you love to hate the ending is magical. Tim Burtons directions are simply fantastic the performance by Johnny Depp is terrific and the musical score by Danny Elfman is out of this world it actually brings a tear to your eye.
