The Institute (2017)
Excellent Movie
This was by far one of the best movies I have seen this year. I do not know why the rating is so bad. This movie is by far better than some of the movies that have received Oscars including Moonlight. Some of the actors although not well known have been excellent. The picture quality is good but most of all the plot is brilliant.
London Has Fallen (2016)
London Has Fallen - Give it a Chance
Written by Creighton Rothenberger who was also the writer of Olympus Falling and stars the same three brilliant actors. This movie is action from beginning to end and cannot be considered a spoof of a James Bond movie. I have watched all the James Bond movies and they were all good however this one and Olympus falling is in a league of its own. The story line of this movie is very good. When the British Prime Minister passed away under strange circumstances, most of the leaders of the Western world are invited to attend his funeral. However what begins as a sad event, turns into a deadly plot to kill the world's powerful leaders and unleash mayem. The President of the United States, his most trusted secret service head and a British MI-6 agent are the only individuals that can stop this act of terror.
Last Ounce of Courage (2012)
Excellent Movie and Underrated
This is a true movie portraying the Christmas spirit of Goodwill. This goodwill is not only for Christians but all other religions. This movie makes a stand against institutions that are against freedom of speech and religion. It is obvious from those that gave the movie a 1 star rating that they would rather watch movies portraying immorality, drug abuse, violence and sexual explicitness. This movie although showing the American way of life can also be translated into many other cultures where there is no or little freedom. I am a proud South African where we can enjoy our freedom divorced from racial injustice, tyranny, hate speech and prejudices. If you are a person regardless of religion who enjoys a good movie based on good moral values then this movie is for you.
Return to the Hiding Place (2013)
War of Resistance
This movie is based on true events in the Netherlands during World War II. What I enjoyed the most about the movie is that Non-Jews showed empathy towards Jews. The Dutch students were prepared to go the extra mile to fight for freedom and equality also taking into consideration their impending fate if they were caught as in the case of Piet one of the heroes of this movie. The Story starts out when all the Jewish professors are expelled from the local University. Hans one of the future Resistance leaders is asked to sign a pact with the Nazis and in exchange his father who was dismissed would be re-employed by the Nazis. He rather opts to help the underground resistance movement where he meets Piet the leader of the student resistance.
