I liked it! I really did.

For a Monday evening after a long hard day, this was very easy chewing gum for the eyes tv.

I mean even I know that the Manhattan apartment with three areas PLUS little balcony area complete with pretty pottted plants was nothing more than fantasy - but, I didn't take it seriously. It was just an hour and a half of easy escapism without having or wanting to think.

Job done.

I really wanted to like it...

I really wanted to support the cause and I did make it through to the end credits. BUT it really was bad. It reminded me of one of those really bad soap dramas on terrestrial TV when you're abroad. In fact that's pushing it, at least those soaps have a plot you can understand even if you can't understand what they're saying!

It felt like different parts of the film were made by different people with different skill levels, different budgets, different visions and different scripts. Like they all went off and made their bit independently, then someone else tried their best to stick all the pieces together and make sense of it all.

Some good scenes, music and even 'some' good acting. But so far and few between. So much of it was that bad it was almost painful to watch. A real shame especially after the first one. Two stars because I feel bad it was that bad.

Poor. TV movie - low budget
28 August 2018
Louis, the snotty family's mum and the girl reporter were the only believable characters. The rest of the cast were not. Poor acting voices - my 5yr old can read with better tone and flow than most of these actors did. Poor script - the dialogue was embarrassingly poorly worded most of the time, especially when they attempted to be funny. Plus it made a toxic looking cleaning bottle from the kitchen look like an appealing thing to drink! My 5yr old did not smile or laugh once. The only reason for the three stars; the three actors that managed to do a good job despite the poor script, the visuals were nice and it kept my son watching for the most part. I'd be impressed if a child had written this script - so I take it all back if that's the case.
