Fog City (2023)

Genuinely one of the worst films I've ever seen.. this guys films are absolutely terrible. I've had the 'pleasure' of muck,kill her goats and now this fog city. Why have I watched all 3? Curiosity....they must improve right?? No ,wrong ...they show no improvement what so ever. All 3 are incredibly tedious..nothing happens and when it finally does you've lost all patience anyway. Terrible acting...terrible story..fog city consisted mostly of boring shots of fog floating through the air. The 'punch line' to the story is laughable. As a fan of independent and low budget horror I strongly urge you avoid this like the plague. I honestly don't have a single positive thing to say about this or any of his films for that matter.

Kids vs. Aliens (2022)

Very disappointed

Firstly I would like to start this review by saying under normal circumstances this would be the kind of B movie I would thoroughly enjoy and I had been looking forward to seeing this as I was a fan of the directors work. Sadly it turns out to be a pretty poor effort all round. The acting is good from all the young cast but the story is non existent and the fx and production values are bargain basement. The aliens look terrible and the faces just look like a Halloween mask with no moveable features. Gore wise it's very tame and apart from the odd moment it doesn't deliver much of anything. I like to support small indi horror but even at 75 mins it's a chore to get through.

It's safe to say this is far from argento's best work but certainly not his worst. One or two good kills and some decent cinematography. Plus the soundtrack is a good listen. Overall no classic but worth tracking down.

Army of the Dead (2021)

Well I have to start by saying I love zombie films . Ok so army is pretty silly and bloated and probably overlong.....however it's well shot with some great fx and a big budget. It's far from perfect but just enjoy it for what it is...popcorn zombie fun.

Sky Sharks (2020)

Completely bonkers

If like me you enjoyed bullets of justice then this film is for you. Packed full of nudity and crazy over the top gore scenes. Nazi zombies of flying sharks butchering plane loads of people . Recommended for fans of cult trash cinema

not bad all things considered

OK so first lets get the bad things out of the way...some rather dubious and clichéd dialogue,some rather clichéd and dubious actions by the 'good guy' towards the end of the film and a rather odd feeling that something is missing....IMDb lists the run time as 118 minutes but the UK DVD runs for 90 minutes??? and at points in the film it feels like some stuff has been cut away.now the good news.decent acting,plot although not original,good production value and fx and some pretty cool zombies.lots of old school fx work and blood squibs.think planet terror meets doomsday meets lenzi nightmare city.well worth a watch for zombie fans.real world it's 2/10 but in the horror direct to video world it's a solid 7/10.

OK so first off i would just like to say i'm a big fan of low budget indi horror films and i'm always willing to give things a chance.....however this is just terrible.it's amazingly by the numbers boring rubbish.tired old death metal music in every scene involving the creature or deaths.pathetic blood splashing on walls/people etc when we get to the 'gore' scenes.i urge people not to waste any time on this film you WILL have seen it all before and done much better.i couldn't even be bothered to check out the extras for this as i was a struggle just to get through the film.why oh why do people keep churning this nonsense out?? i love horror films but god almighty come on people lets at least make something worth a watch.
