Bullet Train (2022)
Terrible.. don't believe the hype
What's with all the awful British accents (yes I know ATJ is British, I mean everyone else!)
I really wanted to like this but it's absolute drivel from start to finish. I only gave it 4 stars for ATJ's face and Brad Pitt having a few decent one liners. The only reason I watched to the end was because I'd paid to rent it, otherwise I'd have turned it off way sooner. I don't get all the high reviews on here unless they're all from die hard Leitch fans.
I'm not sure what it's trying to be, but it's definitely trying hard to be something it's not. Don't waste your time, there's much better films in this genre to watch.
Echoes (2022)
Worth a watch
I always stop by the reviews if I start watching something and it's a bit meh, as if they're dire I normally give up, BUT for some reason I persevered on this one and it's by no means as bad as some of the reviews make out. It's not what I would call a "thriller" but there's enough twists to keep you interested and make it past some questionable acting.
The Invisible Man (2020)
Disappointed
Starts incredibly slowly, trying to build tension but just feels like it's dragging on. The best bit is when her sister is killed, and at this point you think the pace might change dramatically.... but sadly it doesn't really. It plods along with some laughable killing scenes and countless plot holes, with some serious over acting from Elizabeth Moss. I have no idea why this is categorised as a Horror
Overall .. a bit "meh"
Little Fires Everywhere (2020)
Not sure why I watched to end
I had high hopes for this plus I'm a Reese Witherspoon fan, but it's just sooooo slow. Something kept me watching to the end, maybe I was a bit invested in the characters but it's hard to sympathise for any of them. The ending is such an anti climax, I feel like that's just 8 hours of my life I won't get back. Killed some quarantine time though I guess
