Secret Window (2004)
They really *should* have pulled a Lawnmower Man on this one.
It's such a dull story, told badly. It's about a writer and that's almost always a bad sign when authors have to start writing "what they know", which is strictly what we "don't want to know about". Out of the four stories in this book, Four Past Midnight, this is the least interesting dramatically and is a reworking of the same short story he has been rewriting for years. I cannot see this working as a film at all, but I can tell it will be a film made specifically to win Oscars. They should just remake the Langoliers over and over and over. Always with Dean Stockwell.
It will only work if Johnny Depp inexplicably wears a pirate hat at all times for no reason.
Quincy's Quest (1979)
Nostalgia
Despite not containing any of the original cast of Quincy this still holds up as a classic film. It contains many scenes that may be considered disturbing to fans of Quincy and strays wildly from any of the situations the original Quincy would have ever come close to finding himself in. Regardless, the film has it's own charms, revolving around the "Quest" of "Quincy". Not much else can be said about this film except that it still enthralls and entertains the children I show it to today. Nostalgic and classic this film has legendary proportions and is still regularly discussed on websites such as friendsreunited and other nostalgia sites.
