Daisy Does America (2005)
Painfully Unfunny
There's absolutely no comedy to be found in this program. All of Daisy's antics look forced and the people she works with look like they have scripts. A humorist that is recommended by executive producers like Courtney Cox and her hubby David Arquette, well that pretty much sums it up for you. I never enjoyed "Friends" and can't imagine what Ms. Cox was thinking when she signed on to produce this show. I saw Daisy Donovan in "Millions," now that's a movie you should go see. If anything, it redeems her from her pathetic comedy. I miss Whose Line is it Anyway, wish TBS would syndicate that show instead of featuring ridiculously unfunny original bs like Daisy does America. 1/10
Little Women (1994)
My Favorite Film
Among all the classics and legendary films in the movie industry, this one is my ultimate favorite. It may come as a surprise, but the art of simple but beautiful story-telling in this version of the classic book is hard to top. There is nothing abstract or metaphorical about the direction of the film but it still captures the sense of reality and morals that were so pivotal during that time period and really shows you how much of that lacks today. I may only be saying this because i am stickler for period pieces. The performances, especially those of Winona Ryder (who was nominated for an Oscar and should have won) and Claire Danes were incredibly moving and played with such understanding to their respective characters. Christian Bale was the perfect choice for Teddy's character. I don't want to include any spoilers because that will just ruin the whole experience of the film. Its a superb masterpiece that cannot be missed.
Catch Me If You Can (2002)
Leo Deserves an Oscar
I'm not a huge fan of Leonardo DiCaprio. But I was really impressed by his performance in this film, even more so than Gangs of New York. I'm really surprised he was not nominated by the Academy. He perfectly captured the character's misfit and yet innocent personality. It would be hard not to be charmed by him. The film was witty and it didn't bore me for one second. As always, Tom Hanks was fabulous, as well as Chris Walken. I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS MOVIE!! Grade A
