I purchased this game for my XBOX 360. I have been waiting so long for this since I do not have a computer that can handle the PC version. When I heard of the release on console I was pumped and pre-ordered it as soon as possible. The game was well worth the wait. Many people have been giving the game a hard time based on the story and the graphics. This game has a decent story and the graphics are comparable to any game of this nature that has come out lately. Yeah the colors are a little more flashy then I expected from a Diablo game but I got over that really quick. Lets face it, no one buys Diablo for the story or for the graphics. Diablo is about two things and two things only, not stop slaughtering of demons that come at you waive after waive and the sweet loot you pick up from their bloody corpses. That I why we are all here. This game delivers this in every way shape and form, people seem to have forgotten that that is why this game exist. I will not get into any spoilers, lets just say that this game gives me everything I want from a Diablo game and this is one gamer that is not disappointed with the game after a far too long wait. Keep the Diablo games coming Blizzard.

Alright, lets get this settled. Many people are giving this game a bad review for the wrong reasons. The first dead island. Was it perfect? No. Was it a fun gory zombie slash game? Yes. Thats exactly what this is. If you are looking for a complex story, don't buy this game. If you want open world, zombies, awesome weapon mods, good graphics, and the odd mangled bikini clothed women, get this game. If you loved the first Dead Island, you will love Riptide.
I personally feel this game has delivered everything I am looking for in another Dead Island game. The only thing I would like to have been added, more variety of zombies.
Overall, this is a great game and with a brand new price of $49.99, thats pretty hard to hate.

Brand new, hard to tell

NYC 22 This is a brand new show, only have watched one episode yet, how can i write a review on it already you ask? its IMDb, I'm not a pro, get over it.
The show at first didn't interest me, the misses turned it on and i watched it. At first i was like "meh, its going to be a csi, criminal minds, ncis crap show again". Well, I was wrong in this assumption. Not only did I enjoy meeting the characters and getting some back story on them, I was also shocked to see some really good actors in it (Lazarus and Yoda for starters). Yoda who was Tim Mcmanus in OZ was a huge surprise for me, granted i feel his character is the same one he portrayed in OZ, i am glad to see him again, great actor.
Anyways, the show is not a regular looking cop show where something bad happens and then when there's 10 minutes left we magical catch the bad guy, at least it doesn't appear to be that way, who knows what next week will bring, however, I will be there to find out.

This game to me is just great.
It has the same set up as games such as GTA or Red Dead. Open roam if you want and main quest and all kinds of side quest. The graphics are fine for me, I have heard some people complain about them but meh, some people gotta find errors in everything. Graphics good, weapons fun, story fun, and oh, did i mention the zombies?! The zombies are great so far, i have not beat the game but from where i have gotten they range from slow easy kills to not so slow and not so easy. Very fun to fight them. Very graphic. Exactly what i want from a zombie game.
The weapons are fun, customizing is amazing.
This game combines the styles of GTA with the weapon customizing of Diablo and the survival of Resident evil. Basically someone took some of the best games made, put them in a pot of awesome and cooked up Dead Island.
Don't think about it, go get this game. Unless you are "sensitive" to violence and gore and language, in which case I'm sure there will be another mario coming out soon.

Just plain FUN

This game is so much fun. To me it combined the FPS shooter of say Halo with the character leveling and weapon variety of Diablo. Don't get me wrong, it is neither of those games but thats the best way I could describe it to friends that since have played the game and love it as well. The game itself has a simple story, nothing overly fancy going on here. There are main missions and side missions that you do not have to complete. The enemies come back after leaving a level, including bosses. Which, at first are hard to defeat but upon leveling up you can always go back and destroy them for the hell of it. The weapons are fun and so are the character classes you can choose. Now if you are looking for weapons like in say Call of Duty, this is not for you. This game is not meant to be an epic FPS, it is more meant to be fun and a good way to kill some time. Online content I am not sure of, I have only ever played co-op campaign online and it was enjoyable, anything else online I'm not sure. But this game, if you like leveling up, building your character the way you want, using cool random guns, and just blasting random mutants, then don't even think about it, go get this game.

This game is ridiculously awesome.
Not only did the games story get taken to a new level but so did the weapons, the characters, and the monsters of the game. I will not go into details of the story for those who have not played the Gears games but in order to grasp the full emotional story, you need to have played the first two games. There is non stop action and sweet ways of killing the enemies. You can shoot from across the map or get up close and personal with the enemies, whichever you prefer. The online co-op campaign portion is sweet and you can rock 4 people at the same time on it.
Just, stop reading this and either go out and buy it, or if you have it already, turn off your computer, fire up your xbox and start killing.
