Yamim Shel Ahava (2005)
Don't spent 1 Shekel on it.
This movie was supposed to be a romantic story, yet it comes more as a comedy as the acting skills performed by Maya Buskila is so low the directory might have alternatively casted a Klingon Targ.
Maya growls when she does not get what she wants (which is much like her singing) and Nir Levi performance is just as awful. No wonder this saga went on "Reretz Nehederet" as a parody. The movie is a parody by itself. Thumbs down all the way unless you want to laugh at how bad it is.
By the time I casted my vote for this movie, only one person voted the highest score. Maya, I know it was you...
Riki Riki (2005)
Trust your instinct then it comes to love and Tal Friedman...
Set up it Tel-Aviv, Riki (Dalit Kahan) is planing on marring Asher (Nir Levi), a third class actor, who has some commitment issues. Riki finds out her soon to be husband cannot stop cheating on her and leaves him to do some thinking.
When Riki decides she want to hurt Asher back for cheating on her, she get together with her former university teacher, and find him to be the person she may have always wanted, but then... nothing goes that easily.
Dalit Kahan and Tal Friedman give excellent performance. Michal Kahan (Dalit's Sister ???) gives her debut as Dalit's freaky gang banger sister. Gila Almagor play Riki's abusive Shrink. Friedman is at his usual unusuality; lovely, strange and very funny. A must romantic movie for the Israeli audience. Quality entertainment.
