Maybe one of the worst films I have ever seen
3 February 2023
Did five different people write this movie, then five different directors show up and shuffle it around with five different producers perhaps lose every other page of the script and then lose half of the footage and decide to still press ahead with stitching together this embarrassment of a movie. It needs to be burned. A hole needs to be dug and the whole affair buried!! Buried!!! Do not watch this movie. Your eyes, all your senses will thank you for it.

It's so bad I'm now going to watch Shotgun Wedding as it cannot be as bad as this movie was just now.

Worst movie ever ever ever put on a screen.

A bar above the rest
21 December 2022
So much average terrible gay themed content being churned out on streaming services that I had very low expectations when this popped up on the Netflix homepage. So what a pleasant surprise. It was really great to find this just before year end and it demonstrates how gay doesn't need to be cheap and laughs don't need to be cheap either love can be gay feminine masculine queer straight and transcend age and demographics. Didn't try too hard to be anything but tight clean entertaining and made for Netflix to series binging. Spanish language content is so much better than English language nowadays,

Good and then runs out of story and steam
21 October 2022
Not sure what happened but it's like half a movie... like they couldn't be bothered to finish it off properly. Shame as what it does it does pretty well and the acting it top notch. Sort of doesn't know what to do with itself after solid early premise. So the experience is a fade out to black and feeling a little short changed. The drama the dialogue the storyboard lacks purpose and definition by the third act. Troy's Sivian show real premise throughout and holds what is provided together with gusto and confidence. The soundtrack is also classy lofi and non pretentious. I get that the movie probably didn't want to get to gritty, too dramatic, too generic or predictable but it ends up feeling too light weight for me by the end.

Blow away
27 September 2022
For a show that you didn't think could get any better, that you thought had played all its best hands, time and time again make you effortlessly fall in love and feel engrossed in these characters lives, that had nothing else to prove, it had already made a lasting impression.. this episode blew me away... the Lenny and Midge story arch was so beautifully and tenaciously handled over four seasons.. to now have them collide, and have their complexities, their naked ambitions and individual flaws laid out in one to bare in one sweeping smooth take across a stunning open stage.. just Breathtaking.

Lots to like but nothing really sticks

Learnt a bit, loved a bit, was moved a bit, was amazed by Austin a bit... but never wowed. And Baz usually wows me. Problem being it's not able to stray too far from the source material... and it could have done with a little creative licensing in my opinion to be a great movie.

Show gets stronger and more engrossing with each episode
8 June 2022
Apple TV shows that have proper arc and narrative. Unique and a with their own vision unlike the reproduced regurgitation that continues to appear on Netflix. Whilst Netflix continues to cancel its best shows and anything deemed slow burner Apple is getting it right and this is a great case in point. Six episodes in and you will find yourself connected to these characters the story and the ensuring chaos that lurks around the corner. Unpredictable and intriguing. Loving it.

I also didn't love season 1 but
7 June 2022
My interest in the whole show was fanning as the first season progressed.. about to give up all together and having lost all interest.. season 2 surprised by demonstrating the power of restraint, better pacing, improved direction.. and the chemistry between the two leads is undeniable. The ratings don't lie. It screams romance novel but the sheen and classy approach lift the bar to new heights.

Craftsmanship in the narrative the production the song choices... everyone in this show goes all out in front of the camera and behind the scenes. Best episode of season 2 thus far.

Bette Midler blow everyone out of the sky
5 February 2022
Amazon comedy actress shines bright in the second series of The Politician. This series arch seems to be set up for success despite the slightly confusing production styles that seem to be hotch potched together. Does this show really know what it's trying to be? Despite that I think.. it has the potential to only get better and better with time.

For this to even be classified as a movie the leads really had to pull out the stops
9 February 2021
There is so little movie here the only way I made it to the end was thanks to the talents of the leads. Thankfully what is not said in the script, plot, scenes the leads force through in their brows, glares and shoulder shrugs. Its like this was writteb during the writers strike when everyone had gone home. So little here to even make a short movie. Editors cut should trim the fat and it could be 15mins max.

Heart and soul given by all throughout 6 seasons. Outstanding and surprising the levels of affection I had for this production. Surpassed expectation at regular intervals. thanks.

So glad they pushed for a final 13 episodes
2 January 2021
I really didnt see the point in a S6 at the end of S5. The last episode of S5 would have put it out on a high.. and I really didnt know what else was left for the show to achieve or explore. Parenthood continues to excel and just be bloody well crafted TV. The acting is soooo good and just when you think you have felt all you can feel it makes you feel even more... going to miss this show with only 2 episodes left to watch. the cast have been bloody awesome.

Showcases all the great things about the show
31 December 2020
If the series had gone out on this episode it would have done so gracefully. its timeless and excudes a quality rarely seen in family dramas. its effortless. season 5 didnt feel effortless in the first half of t he season it struggled to get its story-arches going and felt like an effort but the last half of this season elevated the show to new heights. continuing to improve and impress. great direction and amazing acting. should have won even more awards and praise.

They did a nice job with the last 30mins
12 December 2020
After the atrocities deployed systematically over the last 3 seasons.. they did a nice job of the last 30mins of this episode.

When they bury the tapes from Season 1.. I think the majority of viewers were thinking we wish they had done that with the rest of this now well despised show.

Only one season in this far
4 December 2020
It's not going to be for everyone. Challenging viewing at times, probably easier to watch alone, as it pushes ones voyeuristic spectrum to the max. I hope that there is a little more story development in future seasons as if it was more of the same I'd probably be switching off but I enjoyed season 1. If you like the movie Shame it's very similar in terms of tone and pace. So it's now up to where they decide to take this.. is there going to be more point or is it just going to be a through the looking glass exercise. Let's see.

Least favourite episode up to this point
2 December 2020
Drifts in and out, too much slow mo and alot of blank space leading to a bunch of scenes that really don't gel well. Hard to stay alert and maintain attention.. which I found to be an issue with the first half of season 2 thus far... but it is at its worst in Episode 4.

Credit for burning itself to the ground
1 December 2020
Warning: Spoilers
After the gruelling terribleness which was Season 3..and the backlash and bad reviews... you have to give them credit for continuing to self combust and going out in a blaze of glory.

Season 4 is painful in a totally different way to Season 3.. and after being annoyed and offended and embarrassed for the actors....like a serial killer in a straight jacket , I found myself half way through Series 4 just laughing at and appreciating it for being OTP, mildly offensive and idiotic.

However, by the finale, I now believe this show is actually a danger to others. It cannot help but turn good into bad. Finally stabbing itself in its back by destroying Justin, who for me was the most believable and likeable character in this show. To do this by killing him off with a disease that in 2020, most people manage to live with shame free, is insensitive and sends out the wrong message to kids today. It puts us back 20 years!

So what starts off as a show with a goal to raise awareness of the issues facing the youth of today.. in failing to do this in a tenacious, educated and positive way... it actually ends up being a dangerous entity in itself.

If I had kids, I would want them to avoid this series at all costs.

How disappointing and odd that this got released in this state.
30 November 2020
After one hour of nothingness and scenes that have no relevance to anything or follow through I just couldn't believe that this passed any internal quality control measures.. what a waste of money and time. Enough to put me off watching anymore DC movies... Well things can only get bet I hope and it can't be easy to be worse than this terrible terrible 250million dollar fail.

Not sure what happened here..
26 November 2020
I didn't love Kill List but I did find it watchable despite it feeling rather vacuous come end titles. It was suspenseful, intriguing and had some edge.

I enjoyed Sightseers despite it being bleak morbid dreary. It was overall entertaining.

Rebecca has no edge. It is not in the slightest bit entertaining. It is like a painting in a museum that you stare at for a few moments noticing the fine brush strokes, stare at harder in an attempt to feel something but ultimately there is little to nothing to feel here.

Arrow: Fundamentals (2018)
Season 6, Episode 18
10/10
My 1st Arrow review because this was the best episode of S6.
24 November 2020
Different pace and alot less clutter gives Arrow some much needed room to breath and being pensive away from the whole gang really worked wonders. Never rated an Arrow episode on IMDB before but I this episode reminded me of the good times and stood out as the best this season (so far with only a few episodes to go).

ARROW needs to get high more often.

I was expecting the worst and was pleasantly surprised.
24 November 2020
Lightweight but well crafted the movie does have a good script and is well structured. Ruffalo and Costner are strong which make the movie stand-up for me. Aniston seems to be trying her best but it's early Aniston so it feels like she is the one person 'acting' in places.

This is at its worst during the scenes at the ball where it felt like Anistons direction was off. It just looks like Aniston is at a bar off screen and the lead up to and first scenes at the ball are particularly incongruent, poorly directed and poorly selected. What is kept displays an Aniston who has suddenly and jarringly forgotten her character altogether until Ruffalo reappears.

Not sure Aniston understands her character fully as she seems to just be throwing her different styles of acting about rather than portraying her character consistently throughout the film. She can act but I find she's particularly weak when she has to just be normal or have a casual conversation with Costner and much better when it comes to being dramatic or emotional with Ruffalo. Director should have done more to rectify this.

It's this inconsistency from Aniston and the Director across the movie that takes the overall shine off the movie for me, giving us a 3stars/6.5imdb rating.

First time I hated Netflix..
15 November 2020
This show helped me overcome depression and I just can't believe Netflix cancelled this great show. It's a brilliant hilarious show. Took a few episodes to get into its comfort zone but then it's all guns a blazing until NF cut it short. Bad Netflix!
