The Family Fang (2015)
A good movie overall. Excellent cast. Very deep into the relationships of parents & children.
This is a movie that represents all parental and child relationships. Although, in this one the father's need to express an on art form with his wife & kids participating in a real life stunt.
All children are affected by their parents dreams.
I don't think I would've enjoyed the movie at all had it not been but for the great acting. Jason Bateman directed this one. I think he did a good job there as well.
Saving Grace (2000)
An upper-class English women grows orchids. And, more! Co-starring Craig Ferguson.
If you like British TV dramas and comedies you'll like this one. However, the real center of it all, is cannabis. I wouldn't encourage youngsters to see it. Wrong message.
Now. The acting sucks you right in. Ferguson is pretty much the same guy we saw on The Late Show with Craig Ferguson. It's the only time I've seen him do real acting.
Brenda Blethyn is the female lead. A delightful character. She finds herself in a spot. Ferguson comes up with a plan. She does grow the best Orchids.
I rarely watch a movie more than one. I've seen this one two or three times.
Cheers
Carnival Row (2019)
Hey stunning presentation of a very different world with similar problems.
I don't typically write reviews about movies. My tastes are eclectic. From fantasy, to drama, to science fiction, to biographies, documentaries and comedy. And, more, believe or not.
The same goes for things that I read. I fall in love with authors then learn to fall in love with their work. It's a great trip.
The Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit both fulfilled a fantasy of mine when I read the series back in the early 70s. I knew that someday the artists, with computers, would be able to create what I imagined. Did you know that C.S. Lewis cacciatore J.R.R. Tolkien about Christianity?
I have a book of letters between C. S. Louis and a very dear and close friend of his. He talked about it.
I tell you this because told Tolkien took me deep into his world and help me to live it.
Well, that will help you to understand how I feel about this program. It is not perfect. But, it is a great story, with many great hurdles. So much of it really speaks to us today. And, The visuals, direction, acting, and script are superb to the eyes that years and the emotions.
I am not saying it is for everybody. But if you love good sci-fi and/or fantasy this series is worth the three episode test.
You're watch it once and decide if it's worth watching again. Then, you watch it a second time. Did they improve on their weakness? So I gave it a third time. If they don't have me interested by then, I don't waste my time or theirs.
To sum it up, and after all that really you had to do to get here, catchup and I say that is no less than seven out of 10 stars. I'm going to give it an eight. Much of it is a nine. last noticed are a couple of five or six star components.
Here's the real answer summed up nice and easy. I am beginning episode nine I am looking forward to all they have available.
