Skyfall (2012)
Bond? More like Blond...
Hearing great reviews I couldn't help wanting to watch my first ever bond movie. I knew it was my mistake from the very beginning. This was a drag of a movie, and whoever said that its more emotional and intelligent movie was clearly kidding. I couldn't understand the emotional side of Bond. in the climax bond ends up at his ancestral home, trying to show how he had a sad past, but in the end he says he always hated the house before blowing it up. I mean WTF!!
throughout the entire movie Daniel Craig carried one single expression and I couldn't understand what he was trying to emote. Javier was good, but he was typical villain, a poor mans Joker. Judi was also good but so disappointed with her choice of this movie. Rest no one is worth mentioning, not the babes, no one.
truly a waste of 2 and a half hours of anyones time. Whoever found it intelligent, please watch Dark Knight again
Prometheus (2012)
Atrocious!!
Why did i see the reviews on IMDb and then go to the movies?
This movie is made only for those who appreciate quantity over quality. Don't get me wrong, the graphics were excellent. But oh dear god, the story was so bad, so clichéd, I felt like killing myself and so did my 3 friends i was watching the movie with.
Acting-wise they ranged from bearable to awful. I was rooting for the aliens to kill them off than hear another dialogue from them. They are supposed to be intelligent scientists, but they acted like dumb bimbos from some B-grade slasher flick. I was immensely disappointed with Charlize Theron, she is a wonderful actress, she let her talent waste with this flick.
I have seen these aliens movie before, nothing new to offer except for the wonderful visuals.
Castle (2009)
This is only for Nathan Fillion Fans... Realistic people stick to Dexter
Seeing the high ratings on IMDb, I decided to go for this TV show. I like Nathan Fillion, so maybe that was another reason.
But this show is more fantasy than realistic. They try to add complex plots to simple murder cases. And its just too easy for Nathan Fillion's character. He actually knows right about everyone in the NY city, from mobsters to mayors. He is supposed to be helping Detective Kate Beckett on the cases, but he ends up not only solving the cases(with innocent yet insightful chats with his daughter), but also in most of the episodes, ends up catching the criminals. At least leave that to the cops. but No!
So in short, if you like Nathan Fillion, watch it, because he is almost in every single frame of this show. Acting wise, he is good, no doubt. everyone else are pretty good too.
My high expectations lead to low ratings, had i not had any expectations, maybe i would have rated slightly higher
Real Steel (2011)
You've got to be kidding me!
This one was a total clichéd Hollywood movie. The movie began well with lots of hope that this movie was going to be a stunner, but I guess I was wrong.
let me put it in simpler words. You would predict the movie before its even over.
The good things about the movie were Hugh Jackman, some good action scenes, new movie concept about Robots boxing and not humans.
Bad things were clichéd story and how everything seems to work well for the kid and his father throughout the movie. Everyone seems to be really agreeable in this movie. The kid does manage to get on your nerves and so does many other actors.
The movie failed to evoke any emotions during the second half. I was past caring about any of the characters. I cried watching Kung Fu Panda-2 but not this movie.
One thing i can say for sure is that a 10 year old kid would definitely love this movie and suckers for typical clichéd and corny Hollywood films.
And if this movie managed to win an Oscar I would certainly be shocked.
Take Me Home Tonight (2011)
Wonderful movie with a great moral at the end
"take a shot at something. Just take a shot son." "I don't know where to aim Dad" "Doesn't matter, just take a wild shot. I would like to hear just the gun go Off!! "
the best lines of the movie
The movie was the best i've seen this year. A sweet and funny movie with a great moral at the end.
Acting wise, all were brilliant! Only wished that Anna Faris had more screen time :(
"You haven't really failed son, coz u have never tried to succeed"
Do yourself a favor, just go watch this movie. I swear u all will love it. Just let the movie take you on a ride. I promise you won't be disappointed.
Green Lantern (2011)
Are you kidding me???
This is one of the worst superhero movie I've ever seen...
I had enough of the bad-a$$ attitude of the hero, the sad love story between the hero and his lover, experiencing the awesomeness after getting the power... haven't we all seen this in Spiderman or Superman??
The villain was shown like an idiot who is defeated by our hero in what was like a 2 minute climax(when all the experienced and smart Green Lanterns of the Universe fail to) And these Green Lanterns arrive after the hero defeats the villain, just like the Police in any Hollywood movie.
The Special Effects was so stupid and childish, even a 3 year old would mock this movie.
Acting wise Peter Sarsgaard was good. Blake Lively was pretty. Ryan Reynolds carried one expression on his face in the entire movie, he almost made Twilight actors look Oscar worthy. Tim Robins was wasted in the movie. The other Green Lanterns were hardly present.
If you want to save yourself from anger and frustration, then please avoid this movie. The critics were right to mock this movie..
this movie maybe for hardcore comic fans.. Rest all watch Kung Fu Panda 2 or Hangover 2 again....
