Napoleon (2023)
Ridiculous! Everybody speaks English!!
Napoleon, the French emperor, speaks English. Alexander, the Russian tsar, speaks English.
When France fights England, everyone speaks English, but French soldiers say "vive la France"! :-)))
How can it get more ridiculous than that??
We're finishing the first quarter of the XXI century. The audience no longer admits movies in which all characters, regardless of their nationality, speak English. There are plenty of excellent actors from all around the world, and the distances become shorter every day. The globalised world should not only serve to sell MacDonalds to every human being in the planet, it also should be used to make art and movies together.
Twee zomers (2022)
It could have been a great movie, but not enough for a looong series.
Great story, no doubt, but a boring television product.
On capable hands, this could have been an excellent movie, a psychological drama and a great thriller, but it became a tedious tv series. I guess they got more money, selling more minutes, but more than half of those are just to fill.
It's not the first time I see examples like this, but Netflix, with it's long experience, should pay more attention when they evaluate the projects producers present.
I watched until the end because I was curious, but I was reading a book in the unnecessary parts. Anyway, it was well made and I rated 6 stars.
El otro hermano (2017)
Could have been a great short film!
Good actors and an interesting story, but not for two hours. I like slow movies when the rhythm is part of the story telling. In this case, it's just boring. From the finished film, a good editor, even without the original footage, would transform this in an excellent short movie that everybody would love to watch.
Anatomy of a Scandal (2022)
Absurdly ridiculous ending!
I gave it a 4 mostly for the technical aspects. Excellent acting, great photography, careful editing etc.
Extremely obvious plot: white, rich and powerful man who takes advantage of his position to abuse women...
At least, this is what it looks like and, like the jury, we all have to decide in which version of the story we believe in.
There were a couple of excellent turns that enriched the story, but the ending was absolutely ridiculous and it destroyed the whole product. How can someone who was doing a good job destroy everything in the end? Do the authors think the audience is stupid??
El desorden que dejas (2020)
Do people know what does it take to give a 10?
I can't believe that there are people giving 10 out of 10 to this!
Any movie or series, to be 10/10 must be perfect in every possible area:
- perfect story
- perfect directing
- perfect script
- perfect editing
- perfect acting
- perfect everything else!
This series is almost the opposite to all this, starting with the unrealistic society they constructed, totally copied from bad American movies.
El inocente (2021)
Full of holes and impossible or unreal details
Good base story, but poorly built. There are so many errors, impossible details, unbelievable turns that, at the end, it can't get more than 4 or 5.
You can enjoy watching this, but be prepared to be constantly saying "absurd", "ridiculous", "impossible"!
After Porn Ends (2012)
Terrible image, out of focus most of the time, and poorly directed.
The subject could be interesting if they knew how to direct, edit and film. It's hard to see such a miserable image, with focused background and out of focus people talking to the camera.
Newness (2017)
Boring
Boring, predictable...
Predictable, boring...
I've read fairytales more exciting and surprising than this!
In a Valley of Violence (2016)
That's what happens when you watch to many westerns
That's what happens when you watch to many westerns and you try to do one yourself but you simply can't! Then, you take the story from another movie (John Wick) hire a couple of good actors and you think you did it, but you did not!
Not even the cinematography is the one of a classic western, but I guess they don't even know the difference...
The Night of the Wild Boar (2016)
What a poor movie!
Poor since the beginning until the end. Horrible sound, annoying and unnecessary "music", jerky image and shot with a camera with dirty sensor. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the black spots in several images and I can't understand if they didn't see it, if they didn't know how to avoid them or if they didn't know it was possible to correct it in post processing. Anyway, it was there!
The story is poor and poorly told.
Acting is also poor in many occasions.
It only takes a little over one hour, but so boring it looked like 3h!
This movie looks like an exercise on a film school and it would not be that bad if it was it.
