American Reunion (2012)
Just What I've Been Waiting For! :)
Finally, after so many years of putting up with so many of Stifler's cousin's, brother's, nephew's or whatever! I'd just like to say, kudos to those that have tried but there is and will only ever will be ONE Stifmeister! I was actually 9 when American Pie first came out. Couldn't believe it myself. So, at a pretty young age, I was coming out with all these explicit one liner's from the movies, and 13 years later they just haven't worn off. Still use them in conversation's. It's just pure comedy that will never die... The spin off's almost killed them, but I have never really included them as American Pie films. For me, it will always be Jim, Kev, Oz, Stifler and Finch. They are my heroes! After seeing the Reunion I have another hero! Noah Levenstein! What a dark horse. He has always been the awkward dad popping up in the most awful situations but wth, he has completely emerged out of his shell and became this awesomely funny character. I was pretty much wetting myself watching him come out with these amazing one liner's, and getting himself into some tricky predicaments. :) The relationship between the gang has not changed one bit from the first one over ten years ago which was absolutely brilliant to see. It was nice to see Chris Klein back in it. It has the same genius plots that were there in the first three movies. They get into trouble. There's still a lot of horniness in the film, even though most of them are married or in a relationship. The table's have turned for poor Ole' Stifler, he seems to be a bit of a loser in this movie, but it totally works. He is still perfect. His face expressions and little giggle's won me over throughout the whole thing. I have to say, as much as I love the American Pie film's, this one is without a doubt the best of the bunch. Please do not let the hundred spin-off's put you off because this is the real American Pie we all grew up with and fell in love with all those years ago. A big fat 10/10 from me. I hope there will be more to come. Maybe a wedding for a certain person :D
The Notebook (2004)
Let the tears pour!
I watched The Notebook for the first time about 3 years ago (2008). I had never really fancied watching it before but it was on TV and I wanted to watch the film after it so I kept it on and watched the whole thing. It grabbed me right from the start. Sweet, fun Noah instantly falls in love with the organised Allie. He's poor. She's rich. Her family thinks it's just a "summer romance". But only they know it's real. I've watched it about 8 times and I still go through a couple dozen tissues and I whistle out of my nostrils. And I'm pretty sure my heart breaks a little every time I watch it. Needless to say, I always watch this movie alone, apart from the company of some chocolate or ice cream, because you can guarantee I'll be a mess. Every time I watch it I think to myself. There is no other man in the World quite like Noah. He loves Allie unconditionally even though she leaves for years without a word. Moral of the story. You never forget the person you love. The audience this film is aimed at is mostly women. Women who want love or has lost it. This film touches a part of you you never knew existed... Well it did for me anyway. It upsets me knowing that I will never have a Noah, but always go after the things you love the most. The characters you love and hate. Some you hate like the Mum, but then kind of understand her near to the end as she has been in Allie's shoes at sometime in her life so she know's what she is talking about. I give this film a huge 10/10. It literally is the only film that has made me think about life and love in a different way.
The Hole (2009)
Underrated!!
When this came out I was eager to watch it. It's Family Horror and I knew my 3 year old daughter would love this as she is a younger version of me =) She is a sneaky thing, she even sneaks my Friday the 13th or Chucky movies into her room without me knowing, but I don't like her watching those. I think she has watched this film about 100 times. She loves it. And so do I. We put it on in our front room, it was on for about 15 minutes before my 8yr old niece wanted to go home. Even if it is a family horror. Some children may be scared of it. I liked seeing Bruce Dern in it as the creepy guy. I haven't seen him in a good movie for years. The monster dad bit i enjoyed. How the boy stood up to him after being scared of him his whole life. It's just an all round amazing film. I would suggest it to everyone. It has a lot of creepy moments in it. I'll give it a 10/10 just because I think it's great and it's kept my daughter entertained for hours =)
That's What I Am (2011)
Awesome ^_^
When I saw this I didn't read anything about it. All I knew was that it was made by WWE and Randy Orton was in it. Obviously I jumped to conclusions and thought this movie was about fighting/wrestling. Another pointless movie. I was so surprised just watching the first 15 minutes. This movie is an eye opener. So much heart is in this movie. I fell in love with every one in it. Stanley "Big G" The big ginger smart guy that takes crap from everyone but doesn't let it get him down. Andy the kinda popular kid that has ended up befriending Stanley. The homosexual teacher who everyone loves. How the children don't judge him even though they are new to the whole sexuality. Mr Simon is the main homosexual teacher who is someone that would make the perfect teacher. Every school should have a teacher like him. He has respect for the pupils and the pupils respect him. And I loved him in the movie. He made the movie =) This movie is for everyone. People get bullied everyday. It gets worse everyday. All schools should show this to their pupils as it has a great message and kids could actually learn something from it. I give this movie a solid 9/10 A proper family film that everyone would enjoy =D
