It is shockingly shocking that such a uselessly useless movie like BB2 is such a huge huge huge box office hit. There's nothing good about this awful film including Tabu who wasted her immense talent in doing such terrible roles.

Anek (2022)

VERY POOR

ANEK had a very interesting script wth its backdrop being in NorthEast India but in the end it was a very poor and dreary movie that just meandered along without it ever becoming interesting. One of Ayushman Khurana's worst movies.

Rocketry: The Nambi Effect (2022)

EXCELLENT MOVIE

"ROCKETRY THE NAMBI EFFECT" in my opinion is easily the best movie(that's been dubbed in Hindi)of 2022. Madhavan must be complimented in the manner how he simplified an extremely complicated subject as rocket science and merged it with his personal achievements and tragedy to come up with a masterpiece! Everything and everyone was brilliant including Shah Rukh who although,he had a very short and unchallenging role was superb! Madhavan was absolutely amazing in his acting and his direction of this very well edited film was top notch!

Aarya (2020– )

Excellent 1st season but....

The first season of AARYA was simply outstanding but the second season paled in comparison. This family drama based thriller in the 2nd season, was not as intense and gripping as the first one.

Jug Jugg Jeeyo (2022)

JJJ was an above average movie with performances ranging from very ordinary to above average. Although Anil Kapoor did his best,he's not a natural (like Amitabh/Sanjeev Kumar/Nasser/Kamlahassan/Om Puri/Paresh Rawal)where comedy is concerned,like the others in the film and so he and the others were not able to do full justice to their characters. Neetu Kapoor has aged very well and for her age looked extremely good. Manish Paul was not suitable for the role as he really overacted. The movie was a mixture of comedy and melodrama with unnecessary songs being inserted.

EXCELLENT MOVIE

This is Feroz Khan's best ever movie where everyone and everything was absolutely top notch. Be it the acting, direction screenplay,music,dialogues or editing everything was brilliant.

Feroz Khan is the pioneer of stylishly made films in Hindi cinema 9/10.

The Broken News (2022– )

VERY GOOD SERIES

THE BROKEN NEWS is a well written series with very good editing. Generally speaking the acting ranged from average to above average with 2 exceptions viz. Shriya and Jaideep who were quite good.

Based on the murky world prevailing in the TV Industry,this series had lots of twists and turns that kept the viewer interested throughout.

As expected,it ended on a note where a 2nd season has to come out, in order to carry this riveting story forward 8/10.

Who Killed Sara? (2021–2022)

VERY GOOD!

The English title of this Spanish web series is "Who killed Sara" It's a very good suspense/drama/tension filled family drama with many twists and turns until the very end,with everything being top notch.

Vikram (2022)

TOTALLY ILLOGICAL MOVIE

VIKRAM had a fairly good story but it was totally buried by mindless action and totally illogical sequences. Kamal Hassan at 67 years old was indulging in action sequences with such vigour,energy and supreme strength as if he were in his 20s-to early 40s! After receiving such heavy beatings he miraculously recovered relatively unscathed to beat the villain almost to a pulp. Although he is an outstanding actor his role in this movie did not require him to display his acting prowess,but just indulge in endless and mindless action sequences and pretending to be drunk. With the exception of Amar who was quite competent, and the maid who was brilliant in her action scenes,the acting was extremely bad with Chandan being particularly useless. All in all this was a film that was made for the masses with the tagline"LEAVE YOUR BRAINS AT HOME" 1/10.

Ghayal (1990)

EXCELLENT MOVIE

An excellent movie with powerful acting by almost everyone with Sunny Deol being particularly exceptional. It's so very sad that such a brilliant actor like him doesn't choose movies as this one tobact in which his father made.

This is one of Sunny Deol's best ever movies.

Possibly Irfaan Khan's worst ever movie. Besides the good script which was presented extremely badly,everything else was absolutely terrible including Irfaan Khan's acting.

Ozark (2017–2022)

Excellent series

The last installment of the final season viz. Season 4 was absolutely enthralling with brilliant performances by everyone especially Marty and Wendy Byrde who especially was the absolute best. All in all an excellent series and definitely so far one of the best shows on Netflix.

Runway 34 (2022)

Above average

An above average film with matching performances by everyone. Ajay Devgn at best is an extremely ordinary director who has absolutely no finesse or great skill at direction. Somehow he feels that he always needs to portray himself as unbeatable,unflustered and always in control in films that he produces. Here again is the same scenario. This movie is loosely based on Denzil Washington's"FLIGHT". The performances of the well known actors like Amitabh,Ajay and Boman, were above average,but the acting of the lesser known artistes ranged from ordinary to terrible. Definitely with a high quality director and better quality of cast(except the 3 mentioned above)the movie would have been much much better.

The Body (II) (2019)

Very good movie but....

As is so often with Hindi movies,the insertion of unnecessary songs not only broke the rhythm and suspense it diluted the quality of this very good movie viz."The Body". At 1.45hrs the length was perfect so no complaints on that front,but the songs were a major hindrance. Like "Badla" this film was inspired by a Spanish movie,but the difference here is that "Badla" maintained the tension/suspense/drams from the first scene right to the last scene and ended up in my opinion being much much better than the original itself. But alas ,foolishly the 2-3 songs ruined that suspense to a great extent ,otherwise it would have been much better than it what it finally turned out to be. Rishi and Emraan were very good in the picture and Emraan's very very pretty girlfriend Ritu was competent.The rest of the cast was below average especially the girl who played Emraan's wife Maya. 7/10

Knives Out (2019)

Very good but....

"Knives out" would have been an excellent movie if there was tighter editing, better acting from the supporting cast and Daniel Craig not using that stupid and goofy accent throughout the movie.Although his acting was spot on he really reduced the overall quality of the film with his senseless accent. However the star of this motion picture was Ana de Armas who was brilliant and was the backbone of this movie. Everyone else's acting was way below average. It was a joy to watch a good "Whodunit" after such a long long long time 7/10

Pagalpanti (2019)

COMPLETE DISASTER!

"Pagalpanti" was made by the same filmmaker who had made 2entertaining movies some time before in "No Entry" and "Welcome". However he made it a point to make sure that his script matched in title of the film in totality. The film was a complete disaster from the word go! The only faint spark in the movie was Arshad Warsi who is very smooth when it comes to comedy. If IMDB would allow me to give a rating of 0/10 I would readily do so for this movie. 0/10

Bala (2019)

Above average.....

When compared to his earlier comedy"Badhai Ho" which was really very good,"Bala" was not as good,and was for me in the end,above average, The film was basically on how a man tries to come to come to terms with the anguish of balding.Now it is very difficult to depict such variations in a 2.5 hr movie.If they had shortened the movie by about 20 minutes or so we could have had a higher quality picture. The acting by everyone was good with the two standouts being Ayushman and Bhumi who were very good. It's worth watching once in the cinema. 6/10

The Sky Is Pink (2019)

"The Sky is Pink"is based on a true story which in itself was very basic and not dramatic at all,and so as a result the story line of the film was also very simple and basic with no twists and turns. However the performances of Farhan Akhtar and more especially Priyanka Chopra were very very good.Zaira Wasim who's an excellent actress had a very small and unchallenging role which she enacted competently like the others in the movie. The screenplay, editing,direction and length of the movie were all top notch. The last part of the movie was quite touching. 6/10

The Family Man (2019– )

GOOD SHOW BUT....."

"The Family Show" generally speaking was a good show with competent performances by everyone including Manoj Bajpayee except the person who enacted the character of Moosa,who was very good .In Manoj's case the role was not a challenging one at all so there was no need for him to extend himself to greater heights.However Manoj who was playing the character of a very well trained espionage agent made lots of silly mistakes,which would not be expected from a total professional.Iam speaking about his character making mistakes and not Manoj making acting mistakes.This was difficult to digest.Let me share only one example although there are much more.There was a scene where his little son finds and twhen plays with his loaded gun which happened only because of his total incompetence.How then do you trust this guy completely to make very crucial decisions where national security is concerned? For me this reduced the quality of the series a bit. 7/10

War (2019)

"WAR" is a movie that's very high on gloss,action and exotic/beautiful locales,but very low on content and acting content.Besides Hrithik Roshan who did an excellent job and who is very well suited for these type of action oriented roles (like he did in Dhoom 2)everyone else's acting was terribly terrible. Tiger Shroff is the male version of Katrina Kaif and besides being very good in action sequences and dancing,is one of the worst actors,if not the worst in the Hindi film industry.A total dud like Fardeen Khan is a much better actor than him. Logic definitely was very very very low on the filmmaker's list of priorities when making this movie. 5/10

Rambo: Last Blood (2019)

I went to see this movie purely for nostalgic reasons as I really liked the "Rambo" series right from the very first one.Luckily Sylvester respected his age to a point and realized that he could not do those daredevil stunts that he used to do when he was a young man. He instead used his wits "Home alone" style to overpower his opponents. The script was very basic and the acting by everyone including SS was average at best. 5/10

Prassthanam (2019)

GOOD SCRIPT BUT.....

"Prassathanam"had a very good script,but it was very very very poorly made and as a result it turned out to be a disaster. Besides the script everything was terribly terrible about the film,be it the direction,screenplay,acting editing and length . As in most Hindi movies the songs were totally unwanted and reduced the already shoddy level to a further low. Somehow in order to emphasise their points,the main characters found it necessary to scream and shout at the top of their lungs! Everyone's (except Faisal Ali to a certain extent)acting was useless,especially Sunjay's younger son Vivaan. I went to see this movie because Sunjay Dutt who made this film had once made an excellent picture called "Kaante". Like they say in the stock market"Past performance is no indication of the future" This movie has to be in the 10 worst movies of 2019. 1/10
