Let me begain my review with the question, what is a Haunting or is meaning of being Possessed? Have you ever seen person in real life who is Posssessed? Are they any different from people who are under Mental Disorder?

Well if you watch this movie, it lies between that thin line of Mental Illness and Paranormal. As my fellow reviewers have mentioned this Movie has some exceptional performances esp by Anant Nag and Padmenee Kolhapure {who must be 12-13}.

Rare gem and Masterpiece of Indian Horror, not westernized "Ghostly Spokes" but Intellegent and logically derived Conclusions.

Must watch 8.5/10.

This is one of those rare shows where 2nd Season is better than 1st.. Action, be it gun fights, car chase or fist fights are better than any movie ive seen in a decade. Marvel Punisher fans would love it but someone like me who doesn't follows comics would love it too.

This series explores how Baba's and Holymen exploit faith for their own benefit and nexus between Government/Politicians-Godmen-Underworld. People Disliking this series are those who are paid followers of Gurmeet Ram-Rahim or like minded who profit from Business of Faith. 8.5/10

Well my title was gona "Best of Sony Liv" but this seems more appropriate... Harshad Mehta scam of 1992 caused huge financial loses in Market and exposed malpractices of Financial system cleverly manipulated by Dealers to make big profit. The Cons : 1. Scam shows that it was a common practice what Harshad was doing and it wasn't expose by TOI everything would have been fine, this was anything but the case. 2. All the agencies like CBI, RBI and Congress government of that time is vilified so Harshad can get Justice... Big joke & Propaganda. Pros: 1. Acting - The characters are brought to life be it Harshad Mehta or Suchitra Dallal. 2. Direction/Narration Overall a very good series and hope Hansal Mehta brings forth other scams like Ketan Parekh and Satyam in upcoming seasons if he can.

Well. I was gona title it "Lipstick Under my Burkha 2", but then many people have. Both movies have same premises pretending to be stories on feminism/Women Empowerment but just end up as Lust stories, creating unwanted hue and cry from right wing parties. Feminism in last 20+ years or so in movies has just been dumbed down to Sexual adventure, this is one of those.

This series had great potential to be dark, gory and outstanding Supernatural Drama only if they had paced this one slowly. But no, instead of creating a good atmosphere based mystery thriller, they had to go all out rapidly moving teen drama in which everything is "cool" and "gender neutral". Season 2 is better than 1st, as it had some twists in the tail.

Though show is quite entertaining, linear and at times unpredictable. It gets unbelievable and absurd at times. Eg: a tribal girl who was getting tortured by a bunch of goons in first few episodes suddenly turns into a Spiderwomen and starts killing trained & armed forest officers with stones... Another scene in which personal info of DySP is leaked to a goon on mere phonecalls.... Acting Dibendu Bhattacharya, Harsh Chayya and Surya Sharma is very good... rest play supporting roles well. Not a must watch but ok ok...

Story of a Dumb son

Well as the show itself suggest that it is adaptation of an Israeli Series... well its almost a Copy-Paste job. Starting with the Cast... Jimmy Sheirgill steals the show,man this guy has come off as an actor since his role in Machis... some of the supporting cast is ok... Mita Vashisht oes fine job as Police officer. Pulkit Makol plays role of depressed and {at times} dumb teenager, i feel this was a let own and a different actor could have played this role much better. Also, the scene set in Jalandhar-Ludhiana is not right for clash between Punjabi & UP gangwar... it would have been believable if the scene was set in Agra or Eastern Delhi... All and all, ok series ...

To set the tone clear, i am also a critique of Demonetization... the true picture painted of Demonetization is funny and dark in its own ways. But, it lacks that punch and finish with are associated with Anurag Kashyap movies like Gangs of Wasseypur or Black Friday.... Some characters and angles could have been more explored, to make it more twisted.

This is marketed as Smart/Witty thriller series out there. Well only one Character "The Professor" is ... also, as he himself say he is "Lucky".. Unusually and most of the time. Moreover, over the top acting and situations ... its like half of kidnaped women wana makeout with their kidnappers... I have to admit though some ideas are well placed and seem realistic enough like predicting some moves of abducted people, escape by some etc. but again scene shift back gears to Soap opera like atmosphere rather than a thriller. Those who have any hopes of Socialistic ideas or philosophic undertones {as many reviews say} will be disappointed.

It will remind you of Mirzapur or Gangs of Wassepur, based on gang wars of Purvanchal area of UP in 1980s.... What begins as a revenge drama ens with full action thriller. A good watch in Lockdown.

As i saw the trailer of this Series i was hoping this should not turn out to be another Ghoul {previous series of the makers}. It turned out to be just that. It has similar plot as an elite Squad faces Supernatural force and have to battle the demons with as well as a Moral dilemma working for Corrupt Government. Again plot had potential and Start was good just like in Ghoul, but looses its way and last part was way too simple and laughable. Only enjoyable thongs are performances by Vineet Singh and Manjiri, Jeetendra Joshi as an actor is underutilized so are many others. Below average Series by Netflix India, hope they come up with better Series in Horror genre for Indian viewers {but by a different team}

Stree Story with a twist

Well, i ws surprised with the extremely low ratings this awsome Horror-Comedy series is getting on IMDB. Its story is similar to that of 2018 Movie Stree where all Men from a Village are getting disappeared after dark. Though acting and characters are over the top, in a series like this they fit in. The suspense & thrill will entertain you until the very end. Hope 2nd season is in the making.

Well, another good series by MxPlayer which had potential to be much more {at least i was expecting it to be}. Series had many things working for it, very good actors, nice dialouges, plenty of Violence and bit of sex {as they all have}. What didnt work though is the melodramatic tone of story, many inconsistency's and Length. Also, if you are showing a true story {or inspiration} try to keep it real on level of Web Series as tour audience is much more mature than average Bollywood Audience and bit smarter too. Those Living in Mumbai since 70s or 80s will remember the famour/Infamous Dance Bar shootout from where Gangwar started. This show tries to adapt that story with much Bollywood style masala and Romance... p.s. Watch it in Marathi with Subtitles if required...

Dont misunderstand the title, its not remotely "Inspired" from true detective. It shows Zeitgeist of Indian Society especially in last 6-7 years where only propaganda is created with entire system police, administration, judiciary and media joining hands. Through the course of investigation series shoes ugly truth of Communal and Castist society, also power driven hungry and corrupt politicians and media persons... Jaideep Alhawat has done a commendable job and should bag more roles after this blockbuster series also Neeraj Kabi does a good job playing his role. My big disappointment was though a smal role for talented actress like Swastika Mukherjee who plays it fantastically. A must watch esp in lockdown... 9.5/10

Most Clever Horror Movie in Indian Cinema?

I was compelled to write this review as one of the reviewer has unjustly compared this masterpeice to 1408.... just on surface... This is perhaps the most brilliantly written script in Indian Horror/Mystery Genre. Although leading cast could have been better, some supporting actors like Atul Kulkarni is Superb. Comparisons to 1408 is understandable as lead is shown as Paranormal Investigator working in a TV channel, busting myths until he visits a house which is actually haunted. 2nd half shows Investigations and how or what could have happened in the House, but their is a twist right in the tale... dont miss last scene which makes this movie appreciable and witty. A must watch for Horror fans and i will place this one in league with movies like U-turn, Lucia and Pizza. May be even better.

This is how good this movie is. Acting, Direction, location all works out perfectly for the fantastic story that plays down. As a person who has been in few brawls myself, i can tell you street fights can easily spiral into fight for existence and pride. This movie shows that side of "Men" egoist, proud and full of hate. Hate between both men is not limited to given police case but also Socio-Economic differences of caste and class, which adds fuel to fire. All and all a must watch. 9.5/10

Brilliant film by Ramu which shows that he still has those skills and class as director he had in 80s & 90s, abeit he has to work with better actors. Movie is about this women hating serial killer which the lead actor has brilliantly portayed. Supporting cast is also good. Bit of tweeking and you'll have great remake if Ramu makes this one in Hindi. 8.5/10

Probably Best Indian Web Series till date

While Sacred Games season 1) and Mirzapur have been big 2 web series on Netflix and Amazon so far which everyone know of... highly rated and rightly so. But, it wont be an overstatement to say that this one is up there or slightly better than them. Engaging from the Beginning to End, gripping and smartly done without being over Patriotic. In the lead Kay Kay is at his finest just like in Black Friday, but supporting cast does its role just as good. A must watch.

Chhapaak (2020)

Understand the Hate... reflected in the ratings

Firstly, about the Low ratings and repeatedly similar criticism by Bhakt as Deepika visited JNU. I guess this is what you get to speak out your mind Fearlessly. Anyways, this is a fantastic movie, best performance by deepika by far and Vikrant Massay is just amazing in his role. The movie is semi documentary about acid attacks and whole socio-political system around it, narrated via case of Laxmi as Central theme. 7.5/10 No Bollywood Masala Bakwaas, No feminist Bhashans.

Madhuri Talkies (2020– )

Hidden Gem

Though not packed with Superstars like certain other Webseries like Mirzapur or Sacred Games, this series more than makes up by Witty DIalouges & Screenplay what it lacks in Budget. Set in Backdrop of Gangrape and revenge this is edge of seat thriller which is fast paced, hence wont bore you with unncessary romance or emotions.
