Adolf portrayal fascinating
9 January 2023
Heartfelt and moving film about two neighbors. One is possibly Adolf Hitler and the other is a Holocaust survivor who is trying to understand his neighbor by spying with expensive photographic equipment and daring break-ins. Excellent acting, directing, overall a very thought-provoking and creative approach to a subject that is sensitive to a large audience. Highly recommended. I especially liked the portrayal of the new suspicious neighbor by veteran actor, Udo Kier, who is a very well-known actor in Europe and in the US for his many films, including Andy Warhol productions ("Flesh for Frankenstein" and "Blood for Dracula"). In his early 20s he was considered the world's most handsome man.

Romeo and Juliet? Nope!
4 September 2022
This movie is terrible. So many scenes don't make any sense. The motivations of the characters are unclear, the acting is embarrassing and the plot line is very confusing. We started laughing at it and forced ourselves to watch it up to when the last rabbit was shot (don't ask why the poor white bunnies seem to attract guys with guns). This may sound picky, but it's shot in Canada in the winter and no one wears gloves outdoors. Throughout you are asking why did he/she say that, what are they doing, how did that guy get there.

One of the main characters tries to commit suicide at the beginning of the movie by kicking a hole in an ice-covered pond, planning on drowning in the ice-cold water. Bad plan and a very awkward scene when his friend tries to save him. It was all downhill from there.

No connection to the Shakespeare play whatever. Find another movie.

Things that annoyed me (spoilers)
24 December 2020
Warning: Spoilers
The little girl who pointlessly touched everything. All she did was stare into space. That's not acting. * The undiscovered moon of Jupiter. Seriously? * The huge spaces and interior decoration of the space ship. What was the point of the so-futuristic budget-busting lattice work on the walls? * George Clooney surviving the swim. What was the air temperature in Antarctica that day? * The two astronauts who deserted the space ship at the end. Why were they doing this? * The pregnant astronaut. Didn't she read chapter one of the manual that says not to fool around with the other astronauts? They had every kind of protection astronauts could possibly need, except one very important one: condoms.
