The Nature of the Beast (1995)

Incredibly Underrated!

I can't believe this movie is SOO underrated ! It's a fantastic thriller and FULL of suspense ! It has great performances from Lance Henriksen and a young Eric Roberts. They are both fantastic in this movie, and they both play two great, great characters and they are the perfect casts for the roles because their look fits the characters perfectly. The ending is so well written!

I can't believe that this movie so incredibly underrated and no one talks or reviews it. It's a masterpiece and one of my all time favorites.

Buried (2010)

Great suspense thriller movie !

Since the moment I've seen the trailer for this movie, I was fascinated about the movie and its potential. It's a risky to try making a movie like this and hope its accepted by mainstream audience. But this movie is a big success for me.

It's full of suspense and it makes you feel like the protagonist, Ryan Reynolds, which by the way, is GREAT! The only movie I've seen with this guy was the Amytiville Horror remake, and I really liked his performance there, but he is absolutely great! The camera work is great, with some nice shots, the dialog is great, especially the conversation with his wife. And the ending is so great!

My Soul to Take (2010)

disappointing

I can hardly believe that this movie was made by Wes Craven ! It's so weak ! The characters are not interesting, I'm sure that I'm not the only one that didn't cared for those kids. The plot is developed weird and if there are some moments that seem to be good, they are ruined immediately. For example, there's a part where the Brandon guy is talking on cellphone, and the Ripper responds "it's to late to be sorry ..." this should be good, right ? They ruined the moment, by having a long discussion between the victim and the killer which sucks.

I can say that it has some Wes Craven clichés, the idea is good, but is written so bad! This demonic killer has no dignity, no character, nothing. I mean, look at him! All the kids are addressing him with "Ripper are you there ?" just like in a cartoon where the kids say "mr. monster you want a candy ?" This stuff just ruins the bad guy.

I was truly disappointed about this movie, I had expectations.

The Other Guys (2010)

Weak comedy action flick

Comedy movies are the least important movies for me, I hate comedy movies. But, lately I tried some comedies that were on my movies-to-see list. One of them was The Other Guys.

I have to say, it Sucked! And I really lie Will Ferell and Mark Wahlberg. I Loved Will Ferell's Elf movie for example. But this movie has only 4-5 jokes that are good, and they were all displayed multiple times in the trailers! The movies too long, it's not funny, it repeats the jokes, the plot is weak, the slow motion action climax scene with Mark Wahlberg was laughable and stupid. Eva Mendes is annoying as hell in this movie. The Wahlberg romance story has a no-sense ending.

The best parts of this movie were the scenes with The Rock and Samuel L. Jackson, I love these guys. The movie should have been about them or some rivalry between them and Ferell & Wahlberg.

The biggest mystery for me while watching this movie was who is the narrator. I knew I recognize that voice, and it's ICE-T! Oh, and Michael Keaton .. wow he got so older.

Freeway Killer (2010 Video)

Surprisingly good.

I live in Romania, we don't get that many movies on DVD, especially movies like this one. I am a big horror fan, so when I looked on my torrents site and I've that this movie it's billed as horror, crime, thriller, I instantly downloaded it.

It has a low budget, and you can see that, especially cause this movie is set in the late 70s, but the cars are from nowadays. But it doesn't matter. Scott Lee as William Bonin is great ! I never heard about this guy, but I was really impressed and I will keep an eye on his works.

It's a great little movie, with unknown actors, that makes wonder what's gonna happen.
