Hostage Radio (II) (2019)

Almost got it...

Feedback, is a well made film, that's filled with mystery, instensity, violence and a claustrophobic atmosphere, since everything is set in a radio station. The flow is good and kidna predictable, just like the way it should be. Calm at first, aggressive and unknown, later. Everything would have been perfect in this movie, but the ending ruined everything. Despite the quite enough twists, during the film, the ending wasn't something to be surprised with.

The creators/writers/director, probably wanted to play safe, because Feedback, was pretty close, to be an amazing non political/revenge movie, and most likely, "afraid" to, due to the "political correct" frenzyness. Also it's really tiring and boring, in another movie, to make references about politics and ideologies. The words "Nazi" and "Fascists" have their "honour" again, and it's totally irrelevant to the plot, especially when the "antinazi" characters, are being accused for unforgivable and horrible things.

Despite that, there's a very good allusion about how much influence, publicity, power and money, can have on the masses, that are so careless for their beloving and "untouchable" celebrities's actions, where these actions, are being applauded in the end.

Overall, Feedback is a good movie, and i recommend it, despite it's flaws.

The Den (2013)

People's stupidity at it's best over technology

First i want to mention that this movie has 3 reviews so far, and the 2 of them, are probably written by someone from the staff of the movie, cause both are so obvious and fake written. Especially the one with the "Warning" title. Not even a 5 year old kid would write that kind of review. As for the movie, i have to say it was boring watching it for barely 74 minutes through a web cam, smart phone cameras, mobiles and some other similar contrivances. Well yeah, it has to do with found footage stuff, but still, put a new idea on it than the usual "watching through a mobile to make it more real and scary." The story could and should have been better, but it has some empty spaces and questions while it unravels which ruins the whole attempt making this movie good or giving you something somewhat different idea or plot. The good thing, The Den has, according to me, is showing and exposing world's addiction and stupidity over the internet and social networks and chatting. Without people knowing who they're talking to, or who that person is, they expose their selves and revealing things, personal things, for no reason, just because "that's the way it is" with technology. Posting where they're about to go, where they live, what they like, uploading photos and videos of their lives and from close friends lives, can be hazardous and worse, cause they can't know what intentions have all these unknown chatters. And some of them, or many of them, might be hackers and good ones, from those who might want to mess seriously with their lives. Also it has an obvious similarity with the Hostel movie, right at the end.

Overall, it's an uninterested movie, and i don't recommend it. Only to curious ones.

The Perfect House (2013)

Enough already with the "evil" houses!

The perfect house is another movie, of the thousands already, with an "evil" house having his sway on its residents behavior. The kind of movies, labeled as horror, that i believe what i am going to see, i have already seen it before, but i watch them, just for fun and because i want to.

And this movie is no exception of the rule. Predictable, bad acting, poor story and nothing original. The acting is so awful, especially when the victims are in danger and threatened to be killed, where no action or reaction comes from them. It has some good gory and torture moments, but nothing you haven't seen before, and it was better than this one of course. All movies, especially horror ones, have many similar scenes and stories, and influence is logic and acceptable. But mixing in a movie, stuff from well known movies, like Hostel, Saw, and Braindead for example, doesn't make it any good or unique. Also there's is a total rip off from Dexter, a really bad one and terribly executed.

I am always eager to fresh ideas in a theme that's already been written and seen before too many times, hoping to see something new with a different twist or view, but most of the times, it fails. An evil house, without explanation of its evilness, it's not something people will follow.

Except the gory moments, another good thing in the movie, is the sexy Monique Parent, the real estate woman, but a sexy woman, is not enough or the reason for someone to watch a horror movie.

A total pass from me, and the creators of each low budget and less promotional horror movies, doesn't have to create different accounts to write propagandic reviews and give high ratings, so they can trick people to watch their films.

Dracula: The Impaler (2013)

A total joke

Before i decide to watch this movie, i thought i shouldn't have to, cause i've assumed it would be another bad "horror" movie, with no sense at all.

I decided to give it a chance, and i wish i wouldn't have. Another "horror" movie about vampires and count Dracula, very bad executed. Poor and bad acting, no story at all and total predictable. The dear David cc user from the states, said pretty much everything in few lines.

The impaler doesn't have any atmosphere at all, no tense or things to make you scared in some way. It's one from the many similar "horror" movies, with students who go out for a holiday somewhere and face the "consequences" of their choice. The shots of the castle is the only good thing on this movie. Other than that, nothing worth watching on this one. The direction and production are poor and amateur, and it's understandable in a way, cause the director is 27 years old. Although other directors at this age or little older or younger, made good movies, like the well known James Wan did in Stygian movie, 14 years ago.

I am always positive in low budget horror flicks, but i don't embrace any film. Definitely not this one. Don't know if the director or the creators registered in different accounts to give good ratings on this film, or the positive reviews came from them or from 10 years old kids ,but in no way this film deserves a 6 out of 10.

A total pass from me, don't even bother to watch this film. Only if someone is very curious to find out if the positive or the negative reviews are right.

Haunted (IV) (2014)

Finally, a good movie with a house in the woods

Haunted aka Dark House, is a good surprise for horror fans and for a horror movie containing this specific theme, a theme that has been repeated a hundred times before, and most of the times, the result was awful.

Story is familiar to anyone, so i won't mention it. This movie has many elements you've seen before. But it manages to combine them affectively by creating a unique atmosphere. Dark House has a good plot, with very good flow, intense atmosphere, keeps your interest the whole time. There are many gloomy scenes, which helps the story's atmosphere and gets the viewer in the mood of it. It's not boring at all. Yeah OK, it has some clichés and flaws, where all movies have, but it's not disappointing or annoying at all.

Victor Salva has created his best movie so far, at least in horror ones. It gives you a surprisingly good atmosphere, good plot, suspension, tense and scary moments. There's a constant tension the whole time. The appearance of Tobin Bell is a huge plus, with his great acting and incredibly deep voice, on a role who easily manages to deliver, tricking and chilling the viewers the way he knows to. Leslie Ann Down is a positive thing too, who is still gorgeous at the age of 60.

I avoided to write any details about the story, cause i didn't want to reveal anything and spoil someones interest to watch this movie.

Overall, this is a very good movie, and i definitely recommend it.

The Ganzfeld Haunting (2014)

Senseless & Unacceptable

The dear d b user said pretty much everything. I absolutely agree with him and want to congratulate him for having the patience to write so many things for this meaningless and total crap of a "film." A film with no reason to be made from the start. Nothing worth seeing on this garbage. Except for those who like to see naked or almost naked girls, make out and stuff. Something you see in hundreds of movies. Taylor Cole, is an absolutely gorgeous and very sexy woman to lay your eyes on, and one of my personal favorites, but she didn't have to underestimate herself and star in this total trash of a movie just to earn some money. She has potentials to gain money with her looks and her acting skills, even though on this one, she doesn't show them at all.

A "marriage" between the classic plot with a group of teens/students who go for a holiday to have "fun" by smoking joint, snorting cocaine, giving lesbian kisses,and supernatural figures and ghosts. Just to laugh at and get angry at the creators, who totally insult your intelligence.

I respect and applaud any effort in low budget movies and new ideas. But this one is an absolute failing attempt on combining 2 different themes, and also sticking to one theme either. And also is one from the many similar movies we constantly see and has nothing to offer. Absolutely nothing, in my opinion.

Well it might have one thing. For people who may suffer from insomnia, will probably help them to sleep, and actually enjoy their sleep.

La casa muda (2010)

Boring and disappointing

I thought this movie, would be very interesting, mysterious and scary, for those who get scared with this kind of movies, but honestly, it was awful and didn't offer any of the above. The flow in this movie, was very slow, and makes you want watch something else. Boredom again and again. As for the story itself, it didn't explain a thing and leaves the auditor wondering what happened, why the end snaps just like that. Many might enjoy this film and disagree with my opinion(after all it's one opinion) but i didn't enjoy it at all, i was very bored so as my girlfriend, and in general i don't get bored. For me, watch something else, especially movies during 90's or early 00's, with paranormal stuff, or spirits and ghosts.
