How to Blow Up a Pipeline (2022)
Amazing Crap
Can you believe this directors, cast members, etc who use oil base products to make their movie. Should be ashamed of themselves but they are not. They live in a fantasy world. Perhaps they should go to Saudi Arabia, Russian, etc and try to blow up a pipeline. They should watch Michael Moore's movie. Planet of the Humans. The plot is boring. Mean evil oil companies bad. You know those people. Prices go up... oil bad... prices go down... nothing to say. Lithium is destroying rainforests, wind is killing birds. Solar farms only last 20 yrs or so. Then must be replace by panels from environmentally friendly China. Skip this movie. I rather watch grass grow.
Licorice Pizza (2021)
Boring as H...
I read the reviews on IMDB. 8.2 rating so I saw it with my friend. We both hated it. No plot, characters not likeable and dragged on and on and on. It seemed they just put sections of small stories together to make it look important. Acting good but no story. Felt like I wanted more and trying to stay awake. Don't waste your money.
Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi (2017)
OMG ! So dissappointed
I am a Star Wars fan. It reminded me of the original Star Wars crossed with original Jumanji and Indiana and the Temple of Doom. Too much silliness, This codebreaker guy was horrible. What was it with a coffee mug in his hand. Some parts were ok with Kylo Ren, Rey and Luke but it was sometimes too much. This new film is a combination of all that is in the others without much new. It is one battle scene after another, etc. The editing tries to tell too many stories at once and ends up killing the pace as it stops a high action scene and slows the film down with a lot of emotion and confusing talk. The plot is muddled. I still have no idea why Luke kicked the Empire's butt then headed off to live in a cave. And this movie is way, way to long at 2 hours 40 minutes. Especially when you are seeing the same battle over and over just in another place. It just goes on and on and on. They could have cut 40 minutes and made it tighter and better. Visually stunning, great John Williams work on the score. Waiting for number nine.
Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens (2015)
Overall, good but not better than IV, V, VI
Yes, this is not as good at IV, V, and VI but better than I, II, and III.
******SPOILERS*****
How did Rey get untrained and was so good at being a Jedi? Is Rey the niece of Luke Skywalker? Was C3PO's arm red because he's a Cherokee Indian. What happen to his arm. I want to know. Did that happen in episode 6.1/2? (joke) Didn't Luke's light saber get lost in Episode V. It fell down the shaft of the gas planet while fighting Vader. (ok, he got a new on or did he?)
Overall, give it a B+. Acting good. Expressions on Rey's body and face excellent. Definitely some blank spaces that happened after Return of the Jedi. Maybe Abrams will have to make prequels for that. Episode, 6.25, 6 1/2 and 6 3/4
Ex Machina (2014)
Very interesting!
I saw this in Cambridge, MA. It was a private screening for MIT students. I love these kind of films and this one kept my attention glued to the screen the whole time. A lot of plot twists, great acting, visuals, and storytelling. Alex Gardner was at the screening and spoke with the audience about his views and why he chose certain personal feelings for the plot. He also said it was based on a lot of other books that he researched and liked. There was one particular book he based it a lot of it on but can't remember which one. I can see this film may be a hit or miss for some but it really does make you think. Try to go see it.
Gravity (2013)
Very Good
I'll give it a solid B+ to A-. Great visuals, story, acting, Imax 3D excellent as always.
Reminds me something Ron Howard would do casting Tom Hanks but with Sandra Bullock and George Clooney. The voice of Mission control was Ed Harris but you never saw him.
I am sure it will be up for some kind of Academy award. Bullock is getting better roles nowadays. She was perfect for the film.
I thoroughly enjoyed it and may just see it again soon. You have to realize everything in space moves at about 17,500 miles/hour unless you have something to slow you down.
