Love / Hate

I really wanted to like this more. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I am always excited for new content.

Though, the main actors are great, they are almost standing out compared to everyone else. You just want to watch them instead of anyone else - and they do have great chemistry. Though, some scenes could have done with more development and also less voice overs which were confusing at times.

I apprecite the budget may have been low, then maybe cut out some of the "supernatural" and focus on perfecting the fight scenes. I am almost embarrassed this is a Netflix original and it didn't get the same attention other Netflix original shows get. Don't get me wrong, I love seeing positive representation, but it needed a higher quality production. Look at heart Stopper or crush etc...

Cute story

I really enjoyed this one, it's light, it's authentic and everyone did a great job. If you can look past some minor sound imperfections and let yourself dive into the world of someone who has not only been in her hometown for 7 years, but also wasn't invited to the high school reunion, and you just know this would be awkward but also maybe the time to realise people are not the same as they were in high school before. Really lovely characters and well written, which is no surprise coming from Alexandra Swarens. It's a thumbs up from me and looking forward to more stories.

You Me Her (2016–2020)

Okay and quite funny

Warning: Spoilers
I randomly came across this show and actually laughed out loud a few times. The writing is good and very funny. But, the actual relationship set up seems weird. I'd find it more interesting if the SL continued to actually not work anymore. Jealousy being the main issue. You can tell that Emma is struggling with her emotions and feelings for a woman. She was with women before (great to put that in there by the writers, makes it more authentic), and is now questioning her feelings. Izzy and her have a much more emotionally intimate relationship, and that is what makes this show so interesting. Jack is just a pawn in the game and I don't see the same chemistry with him and Izzy. Yes Emma and him love each other but something is clearly missing there... I would prefer to see Izzy and Emma being the main focus as their chemistry is great and Emma reminds me of Piper Chapman a bit. Who knows if it will return for another season.
