Keep your daughters AWAY from this film!
5 June 2004
I have 2 daughters 6 and 7 years old. There are a lot of PG-13 movies that after watching I can allow them to watch. NOT THIS ONE THOUGH. I won't even let them see this one when they are 13 years old. This movie tries to edify many behaviors any parent that cares about their daughters would want them to avoid.

Anna is 17 or 18 year old (likely 17 since children of politicians often graduate early). She goes to France and partakes in drinking to the point of being p**s faced drunk and stumbling. She gets naked to swim in a river.

She gets naked again to seduce her male counterpart. Later they do have sex, I should also mention his character is 23 year old(the actor obviously being older though). The entire movie is based around Anna running from responsibility and authority. This movie should have been rated R, there's nothing for kids here.

my rating: 1/10

Trying not to vomit, and this isn't a bad thing.
5 January 2004
Ok, don't let the title throw you off. It's not so bad I want to vomit. It's because it was so good that I'm physically feeling nauseated at the moment. It's not because of blood or gore. This movie is so disturbing it's ridiculous. This is why I prefer thrillers to most other horror movies though. Suspense in a realistic situation is so much more motivating than blood, guts, and monsters. Man, it's hard to put into words the emotions that I feel after finishing this movie. I don't think my wife could watch it to be honest. I'm glad I watched it while she's at work today. I'm not normally moved by movies much. In fact, I think this is the first movie about a hitman that I've ever watched and didn't have some fun thoughts about killing people afterwards.(yes, I have a morbid sense of humor) DISTURBING is the perfect 1 word description for this movie if you need one.

No stars?
5 January 2004
Ok, I was up way too late last night. I turn on cable and look at the tv guide channel. This movie shows up with 0 stars. The didn't even give it a half star, though I'm not sure if they do that anyway. I've noticed that whoever does there rating system seems to really suck anyway as only extremely high budget movies ever get any stars. I went ahead and watched it and couldn't have been happier. This was a great movie for a low budget project. I gave it a 10, some movies are just too damned underrated.

Completely inappropriate for children.

Warning: Spoilers
This movie was marketed as a kids movie, it missed the mark by so far you couldn't measure it. (Possible SPOILERS to follow.) My wife and I sat down to watch this with my 5 and 6 year old daughters last night. I think we sat through a half hour or so before I just had to turn it off and send the kids upstairs to play. There was foul language, a bar scene where the main character is drinking beers and excited about how much another character can consume, a scene in an airplane where the 2 main characters are handling the ill gotten money in a bathroom and the people outside the toilet are made to believe they are playing with one of the characters feces, there is a scene where the mob boss threatens the lives of the main characters, and a scene where a man they are to deliver the money to also threatens their lives. All of this is just in the first 30 minutes or so, and after watching just that I read some other reviews on here that went on to discuss worse such as a wet t-shirt contest. I should have checked out family.org before I tried this movie out, I can only imagine what they have to say about it. Bottom line, this movie has gotten to be #26 of the bottom 100 movies on this site because it's pure trash. Parents be warned, if you want an excellent children's movie that's great for any kid I'd suggest Ice Age if you haven't already seen it.
