Blind (2019)
A great suspenseful thriller!
I watched Blind at the UNDO Film Festival in Mass and I loved it. The film could very easily had been another run of the mill independent slasher film that you have seen done many times before. What you get is a very touching story about a woman who is struggling with a disability who had the world at her feet and now is trying to figure out how to live in a world where that is not the case anymore. Sarah French was great in the lead and makes you feel sorry for her and what she has lost. Then you have Jed Rowen as Pretty Boy which I can see becoming another horror icon. He has a menacing and also very sweet air about him and such an Iconic look that you don't know how every scene with him is going to turn out. Plus the music and the cinematography gives it an almost fantasy element to it. Joe Knetter's script hit all the right notes for me and I can't wait to see what they have next!
Witch Hunt (2016)
Witch Hunt a great Psychological horror
I just saw the film Witch Hunt and I was very impressed. The story was very interesting focusing on the questions of homosexuality and faith. It was very artistically filmed and had a lot of atmosphere unlike a lot of other films that you find in the independent field that focus on horror. While it had some great horror shots they are not over done or schlocky. It focused on story not the spectacle which I enjoyed. Tony Ramos Wright was wonderful as the evil Sheriff Tromada and brought a lot of relish to his role. Rick Chandler and Carver Riot really had a lot of chemistry which transferred on screen and made their dynamic as the Witch Hunters a lot of fun to watch.
