Nadine (1987)
a great little gem from the 80's
my mom took me to see this when i was a kid in the late 80's and we loved it. i had forgotten about it until i saw on cable recently.this movie is adorable and just a good movie to watch one night when you are cuddled up on the couch. i really love the way that basinger talks as nadine.she is really a hoot. she and jeff have great chemistry. the basic plot is a pregnant hair dresser who is estranged from her husband finds herself drawn back to him when they stumble across a crime caper. if anyone remembers this movie fondly i recommend ordering it online. you can get it a very good price. i highly recommend this movie if you are a fan of kim , jeff or of romantic comedies in general
Heroes (1977)
cute movie
i remembered seeing this movie on cable in the early 80's when i was little and I'm a big 70's and 80's movies buff so i purchased a tape. let me say it was worth it alone to see an almost unrecognizable Harrison ford! what a different character than his usual hero or tough guy. this was made before star wars was released and before he was on the verge of super stardom. he was great as the slow witted childlike vet. the rest of the movie was alright but it was very unrealistic the way sally field would just go off with this loon without any buildup. maybe she was a little nutty herself. she was very good as well. i thought Winkle was alright a little over the top. i liked him better in night shift. i give this a big thumbs up for Harrison alone!
Star Wars (1977)
Gives me the chills!
This movie came out a few years before i was even born, but somehow one of my first memories was seeing this movie. Every kid I knew loved star wars boy and girl. So basically if i had to sum up my childhood in two words it would be star wars. From the cantina scene to the death star first rate special effects. The opening crawl probably still brings a tear to my eye. Han solo just rocked and Luke skywalker was just adorable. I love the scene in the garbage chute, but my all time favorite scene is when Luke goes outside and looks out to the horizon (the famous shot of the two suns) and the classic music cues up. Oh my god it gives me the chills. awesome!
