I was not able to skip or fast forward even a second! One of the best romantic comedy dramas ever.An absolute pleasure and a masterwork of art

I am currently at the last episode and I thought I should write a review " The matchmakers" in case if I become lazy once the series is finished. I have not been able to skip or fast forward even a one second of this absolutely amazing drama. If you are a regular Korean drama viewer you know that the first few episodes of most Korean dramas are wonderful and then it gets really boring until the end. So many dramas get lost in political and family feuds during Middle episodes and it becomes boring and a bitter experience for the viewer. Let me tell you that the matchmakers is one of the absolutely wonderful feel good and beautifully crafted dramas I have ever seen in my life. Whoever wrote this story should be given an award as the story itself is extremely interesting and written in a brilliant, sophisticated , heartfelt and funny way. The clothes are heavenly I really love the traditional Korean clothes and their colours in this drama. The backgrounds reminds me of Wes Anderson's Grand budafest Hotel and they are absolutely pleasure to look at. I found myself stopping and rewinding the episodes as the backgrounds were extremely beautiful at times. Music of this drama speaks to the heart especially the classical orchestral music played in the background. The cast is perfect for the story and I really do love the character of the King as he is sophisticated and funny. This drama has many love stories within it, so if you are a fan of romantic comedy who like dramas like business proposal then this is absolutely a MUST for you. Let me tell you this drama is an absolute gem and I wish this drama would gain the popularity of Love in the Moonlight. I will try to watch this drama again in another few years as this drama gave me so much pleasure and laughs. It's also important to point out the drama focuses on the injustices and customs during the joseon period. The matchmakers will teach you about loyalty to your family, honesty, filial duty to your parents, being content, being virtuous, being not greedy but being selfless. Just watch this! I have just finished watching episode 2 and I was clapping really hard. Simply this series is that good. I have watched many Korean dramas and they tend to astray and become dry as the show goes on. The script writers are unforgiving. Remember how cruel Game of Thrones was? Yes, you will get the same feeling. Damn I was feeling so dry after watching many English Western dramas. This K drama radiates humanity, warmth and reality. Just beautiful. Must deserve more recognition.

I have watched the highest rated western dramas like Ozark, breaking bad, GOT and movies and often find them dry. They are so dry you actually feel it. My Korean journey started with crash landing on you and this drama is already one of my favourites even though I still haven't finished watching it. If you are into feel good romantic comedy with human emotions and dynamics this drama has it all. There is a deeper psychological and Philosophical aspect embedded within the drama despite the fact that this is a few good light-hearted comedy. As in Buddhism Upajjhatthana Sutta : "I am the owner of my actions, heir to my actions, born of my actions, related through my actions, and have my actions as my arbitrator. Whatever I do, for good or for evil, to that will I fall heir". Whatever we intentionally think, do or say become our karma.

This drama is not a feel good comedy. It is just amazing.

Simply , This is a wonderful family Drama. I have seen a lot of dramas including Korean dramas. Usually Korean dramas are cheesy, funny, exciting and romantic. There is usually a bad person at the top of the chain and finally the good wins. But this is like no other. Every single episode was unbelievable. specially the first 4 episodes. I am going to watch this again as this drama can actually teach you many things about life. This is a wonderful drama which must be recognized and watched universally. Bravo. from a Sri Lankan Biritish fan.

This movie is simply beautiful to watch. The quality of animation is amazing. It is sad that many people don't know about this, but this movie deserves the same recognition as frozen. If the story was a bit more emotional and well written as well as Titling it correctly would have made this a popular movie. There is literally less than 20 second screen time for the unicorn. The good Queen and the blonde princess are really beautifully created.

This is a beautifully writen, superbly acted, wonderful journey almost it feels like an artwork. I really can't recall a Hollywood alternative similar to this.

The unique love story is so close to heart but the highlight is the out of the world acting by Shin Hye-Sun. What an actress. After watching this I saw "My beautiful life" drama which is truly a masterpiece among dramas of any language, another superb performance by Shin.

Don't get deceived by the cheesy title. They should have given this a better name. This is a romantic comedy masterpiece. Loved it.

My Golden Life (2017–2018)

Deeply profound portrayal of family dynamics

Deeply profound portrayal of family dynamics, particularly between Parents and children. The story spell bindingly appeals to my heart. My golden life is like SIX FEET UNDER Drama where you get to see amazing character building and in depth insights of family life. You need a mature taste to enjoy this. I am someone who has seen wonderful STILL 17, so I like rom coms. But my beautiful life absorbs you in a whole different feeling. This drama is not as sweet as an ice cream , but as healthy as an apple for your heart, yes it has a nice tangy taste to it as well.

You need to appreciate the unbelievable AMAZING acting by Shin Hye-Sun who plays Jian. In fact she is the main reason I started to watch this, after watching incredibly funny and emotional STILL 17. what an actress.. Wow. She deserves the highest recognition among Korean actresses. The actor who plays Jian's dad is another magical actress who speaks thousands words just by using his eyes.

Watch it. This is a gem.

Black (2017)

An Alternative Ending for the finale!!! Must read

This alternative ending is by tsutsuloo. I even emailed dragon studios to complain about the ending. Now I have found this alternative ending I am happy. This drama is a magnificent thriller and all episodes except the finale is just amazing. The ending has been ruined due to a conflict of interest between the writer and the director.

My alternative ending dealing with just oneof the messy strands: All the bad still happened and Ha-ram gets a slightly different happy ending

Ha-ram throws herself off the cliff at the same moment Black asks for the most severe punishment. She's rendered unconscious on impact and doesn't suffer as she drowns. In the last seconds of her life, her brain experiences the beautiful life she'd always wanted (growing up with two parents, becoming an EMT, falling in love, having mind-blowing sex, marrying a sweetie named Oh Man-soo, etc.)

Time is asynchronous between our world and the underworld. Black's trial and sentencing all happened during the moments of Ha-ram's fall

Back in the underworld, Josean and Hip-Hop argue-rapping, of course-that the Death Squad screwed up. They successfully posit the underworld's failure to catch Ha-ram's GM father triggered a cascade of human suffering. As recompense, Ha-ram earns a dispensation for her suicide. (She doesn't remember her miserable life and didn't know she killed herself. The life she experienced during her fall is the life she knows.)

Since Joon's body is finally found, he also earns Paradise. As a reward for cleaning up the Death Squad's mess, Joon is allowed to keep all his Joon/Black memories and remain an adult. He wears the face of Kim Tae-woo, which turned out to be Joon's true adult face.

Ha-ram's body washes up on the shore where it is found by Black's former compadres.

Ha-ram, now dead, stands on the shore and greets Kim Tae-woo, who smiles gently at her. She clutches at her heart and wonders, "Why is my heart fluttering like this?" He takes her hand, "Were you happy?" She answers yes and they walk to paradise together. Last thing we hear her say is, "Are Grim Reapers usually so handsy?" Sip-gyeong energetically trots after them, as spry as a puppy.

one of the BEST epic Fantasy Dramas ever! GOT fans would love this

Character development is excellent. Creative Writing is just amazing. You just can't guess what is coming. I am on the episode 13 and this has been an absolute pleasure to indulge in. Watching this is like reading a top fantasy novel or watching GOT. What a thrilling emotional ride. This drama is unbelievably good. Seriously. Addicted. Hopefully they continue this. Well done to the production team and netflix.

Did you like the How to Train Your Dragon, then you will love this. There is bigger profound message inside the movie. Getting through bereavement, choosing to be at self proclaimed Loner and relationship dynamics are some of the messages at play. Well done writer /director. Loved it

Belle (2013)

This is a true cinema experience. I have seen many movies. In fact I got the Cineworld unlimited card: a cinema pass that gives you the right to watch all movie releases in cinema. So, I have see quite a lot of movies and I am a movie master. I love movies. It is rare to get that " WOW, what a beautiful and amazing movie. This is why I watch movies, " feeling. The last time I felt that unique feeling was when I was watching Locke and A place beyond the pines. Belle is beautiful shot. There is nothing to criticize about. I even did not consider watching the movie first but watched anyway due to positive ratings at RT. Belle blew me away. I never felt bored and was excited to see what is happening next. I would advice you not to watch the trailer for movie. In fact do not watch trailers for any movie at all since they destroy the movie experience. Belle gives you a unique and unforgettable cinema experience. This is a must watch movie . beautiful. 10/10

Hi, I am not an expert. I am just an ordinary guy who eats,sleeps,meditates,studies at university. I have watched Dexter,Mentalist,Csi,Ncis and other crime dramas. By far this is the BEST drama i have ever seen in my life. Why? It does not only focus on the logic behind the criminal investigation. It makes you feel the humanity through the eyes of Theis and Pernille.I cried watching most of the episodes.If you have a good heart you will too. This drama make you see what others have to go through when you do something bad , just because you wanted to feel good. some good lessons on selflessness, forgiveness, friendship and life. Whatever you do , it will always come back to you. Karma can not be avoided , good or bad. you just have to live the life peacefully without harming anyone. Wow, What a series..Love to see 10 series of this . Definitely worth watching . Be well, With metta kindness to all living beings.

OK. Let me get this right. This is an amazing Crime drama..It is very cinematic. yes, it is just like watching a movies, actually better than watching cheap crime movies. Direction of the drama series is amazing. just finished watching series 2. It is great that BBC is using some of taxpayer's money to create good programmes like these.. Thanks a bunch to the directors.

OK the writer (Neil Cross) tried to dress it up with some guff about the mask being actually the face of Spring Heeled Jack, a nasty sprite of Victorian myth, but the far more likely inspiration for our murderer, unless the experiences of every character in this drama are meant to have split off into some parallel universe circa 1996,

is Wes Craven's spoof horror film franchise. At which point the whole thing felt so derivative you just wanted to turn off the telly. Especially when the programme seemed to be going even more wholesale down the Scream route and just playing us for scares, as it did in its final very unpleasant minutes.

Amazing Story, Already watched the episode 1 three times. The day of the moon is just amazing..This is the best British drama ever. Thanks a lot for the creators of this show. May you all be well metta loving kindness to you all.You might pick holes in quite how easily Canton knew what to make the Silence say, and just when was the right moment to send the video file to the Doctor, who was waiting to hack into the feed of the moon landing. You might also question whether – when you already have the President on your side – faking imprisonment in Area 51 and sending your friends on the run for three months while the rogue FBI operative builds you a soundproof base made of Zero Balance Dwarfstar Alloy might be a touch over-precautious.

But if they hadn't done all that, you wouldn't have got that incredible sequence of all three companions "dying", the Canton reveal, an amazing swimming pool gag and that wonderful FX shot of Apollo 11. And those moments are what this show is really about.

Hey, I started watching doctor who since the Christmas carol. Today, wow , what an episode. very very creative and great to watch. Thanks a lot mr steven moffart. you are a very creative person. In just the first five minutes of this two-part story, we had seen the Doctor rampaging through history in an effort to contact faithful companions Amy (Karen Gillan) and Rory (Arthur Darvill), had a brief glimpse of their life of beautifully decorated domesticity, been reunited with mysterious space archaeologist River Song (Alex Kingston) and gone on location to Utah. And then, after briefly admiring the Doctor's new stetson, we'd seen him killed – really, truly dead-as-a-doornail killed – by what looked like one of the Apollo 11 astronauts.
