Passengers (2016)
Could You Sentence Someone Else to the Same Fate?
This movie is a scifi romance character study of if you were the only one woken on a spaceship alone. How far would you go to end your loneliness? If you found a reason to hope you didn't have to be alone, would you sentence someone else to the same fate? They say a drowning man will grab at anything even straws if they are in a desperate situation, that he would do things he wouldn't normally do just end his desperation.
The journey that Jim goes through the first half of the movie is not only sad but helps you understand why he does what he does to Aurora. Aurora's reaction is completely understandable and heartbreaking all at once. I like the story definitely felt for both Jim and Aurora like that it shows the consequences of Jim decision but also allows you to see his struggle. Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence had good chemistry, their dramatic breakdown scenes were well done. Despite what Jim did I still wanted them to get together.
All of My Heart: Inn Love (2017)
The House Being Different Kinda Set The Tone for This Sequel
The house being different kinda set the tone for this sequel, from the moment you see the house you can't t help but feel like this is miles different from the first one. I really really liked the house from (All Of My Heart) it was very warm and welcoming and seeing them work to make it look so beautiful just made you want to go there, and I liked that you had to walk up a little hill to the house.
The house in this movie just doesn't give off that same feeling unfortunately the house isn't the only that's different so is the town and goats. I also felt like Jenny was overly needy and not being as understanding as she was in first movie. Brian has put in a lot of money to renovate and fix up the house but the money is running out. So he gets offer a job on Wall Street that will help pay for everything but that means he won't be in town helping with the inn's arriving guests as much. I get that it was hard and lead Jenny to doubt if Brian returning to his old job would be temporary or permanent. I just wish she had just talked to him about her doubts and fears instead of making him feel like he had to choose. Brian is passionate about what for many years he was good at but he's also passionate about the new life he created with Jenny fixing up the house and the friends he made in the town. He shouldn't have been made to feel like he couldn't have both, I think the movie was lacking an alternative that Brian have both of his two passions. I mean Jenny gets to have the things she's passionate about without having to sacrifice any one of them for the other, the same should have been given to Brian. Jenny and Brian's strong connection was sorted lacking but that could have been because their happy moments was rushed to get to their angst moments of the story. I still think this is a good movie just not as as good as the first one.
Greedy (1994)
There's Only One Thing Keeping This Family In Each Other Lives. . . . MONEY
A hilarious movie about a dysfunctional family that will back-stab each other to get their great Uncle Joe money worth over billions.
There isn't any line they won't cross or limits that they aren't willing to go to to be the one to come out on top. They dig up dirt on each other looking for any hidden skeletons to make themselves look like the better candidate in Uncle Joe's eyes. You'll laugh at all their antics and be glad they aren't your family and that you don't have family who only care about your wealth and not about you. But don't be fooled Uncle Joe has many tricks up his sleeve too.
Me You Madness (2021)
The Movie is Bonkers But the Soundtrack is Amazing.
I didn't know what to expected when I came across this movie the concept drew me to want to watch. Catherine isn't your typical business woman in killer outfits she's also a serial killer that eats her victims, and thief Tyler is next in the menu. The movie is filled with 80s music, constant wardrobe changes and lots of fourth wall breaking by Catherine. From the moment Tyler steps into Catherine's house the countdown begins for how long until he becomes either part of the menu or allowed to live. This is. A strange movie that will make you question what are you watching and is anything that happens real and drugged induced.
Tom Dick & Harriet (2013)
All's Fair in Love and Advertising
Not your typical Hallmark romantic comedy but one that you will still enjoy. Tom unfortunately gets fired because he's deem "too old" and meets Dick a con man that agrees to work with him to pitch Tom's ideas. Along the way both find love, Tom with Harriet a former coworker and Dick with Tom's daughter. I really enjoyed the dynamic between Tom and Dick they both benefited from meeting each other and working together. It wouldn't surprise me if Tom helps Dick with his dream of becoming a chef and opening his own restaurant. Or if Dick hires Tom to help advertise his future restaurant, either way I see Tom and Dick having a good and lasting friendship.
Flip That Romance (2019)
Not Worth the Flip
While the premise of the movie sounds interesting the movie itself was a let down. Are two main characters Jules and Lance are exes each working on a shared duplex, and also dealing with their issues for why they broke up.
Jules and Lance spend the entire movie bickering at each other. Most of the bickering comes from Jules, who I found to be annoying character. I couldn't understand why Lance would want to rekindle a romance with her, she has this my ideas are better attitude that had me rolling my eyes. I found the reason for the breakup to be so disappointing and really wish the writers had came up with something better.
Men Don't Tell (1993)
Men Can Be Victims TOO
Good film from begining to end, it shows that men can be victims of abuse too. There needs to be more movies addressing this subject and more conversations about abuse against men. The movie does a good job of showing how and why men don't tell about the abuse, because they are afraid of not being believe and being seen as weak.
Crossword Mysteries: Riddle Me Dead (2021)
"Monk did the mystery game show episode better"
This is my least favorite one. It wasn't hard to figure out how one of the contestants if winning so easily. Monk did the mystery game show episode better by making the signals more subtle. That you wouldn't pick up on it right away, while this episode/movie makes it way to obvious to pick up on it. I was barely paying attention and notice the signaling,I found that it was hard to believe that others didn't pick up on it sooner.
A.I. Rising (2018)
Boring movie that will make you nauseous
Movie is about a man who wants and does have sex with his robot companion. The sex scenes are boring and hard to see thanks to the constant blinking/flashing lights.
The blinking/flashing lights are non-stop and takes up majority of the visuals in the movie. There is barely a scene that doesn't feature flashing lights, it became so annoying that I became nauseous do to it and started to fast forward.
Skip this movie there is nothing in here worth watching for, not the characters, not story, not the nudity and the sex scenes and especially not the visuals.
