Big Little Lies (2017–2019)
8/10
A Transcendent Experience
16 January 2023
Big Little Lies contained a beautiful atmospheric backdrop, an amazing soundtrack and score; a list of tremendous performances, actors and cameos; and an entertaining storyline throughout Season One and ending in Season Two. Limited Series are now my Go-To's.

I connected deeply with the interpersonal conflicts amongst characters throughout the show. Although I lead a much different lifestyle, and acting was still connection-worthy.

My favorite actor portrayals: Zoe Kravitz, Nicole Kidman, Laura Dern

Best Song From The Show: "The Wind" by PJ Harvey

I strongly recommend this series.

Reality with a Premise
18 April 2022
I enjoyed the fact that this show had a premise, unlike most reality television that centers around the personalities themselves. These couples seem to all make an odd choice by adding a television show to their problematic relationships, but soon progress to realize if they love or not with The Ultimatum.

It's a casual weekend watch with a friend type of vibe, and I dig it.

Awkward. (2011–2016)

'Awkward.' delivers, sometimes stereotypical though
19 October 2012
I've watched every episode of 'Awkward' from start to finish. The drama, acting, and comedy are well produced and it seems like MTV didn't even create this show that has almost everyone begging for more. Season two had me on edge the whole entire time, the plots were great. I've never seen that much good acting on a show produced by MTV before.

Stereotypes kind of take away from the show though, there's the classic "girl who wants to be popular" (Tamara), "sexually attached girl" (Jenna), etc. MTV has a big problem with creating stereotypes with every show they have created.

In conclusion, Awkward. is a great show that has a little stupidness in it like every other show.

Cliché storyline, MTV's attempt at trying another hit like 'Awkward'
18 October 2012
The show starts out with a narrator on a laptop talking about their life, much like MTV's hit show 'Awkward', which I do enjoy watching. The harsh stereotypes that this show has almost hurts, it's so cliché to any other MTV show that is out right now. I must also say that every scripted show MTV has out (ex. US Version of 'The Inbetweeners') has failed with a bad rating and low weekly viewing rating. You see a stereotype of friends with benefits, 20 year old virgins, and unpaid interns. They also live in a beautiful NEW YORK apartment, even though their unpaid, unemployed or working at a donut shop. This show isn't the worse, but it isn't the best. Not something you want to stay up till 11pm watching.
