Fahrenheit 9/11 (2004)
A long overdue masterpiece
Fahrenheit 911 was exactly what this country needed. In a nation where the "Patriot" Act scares people into keeping their mouths shut, we needed a man as brave and talented as Michael Moore to release a film of this nature. It brilliantly portrays the darker side of the Bush administration, which is the side that other parts of the media are afraid to mention. It masterfully shows the atrocities committed by the current government, starting with the sneaking and lying used to obtain their power right down to the dishonesty used to get blind support of an unjustified war. This movie was heart-wrenching, thought-provoking, and wonderfully informative. Moore gets a 10/10 for this gem. Thank you, Mike.
Black and White (1999)
um...what?
I rented this movie because I am a big fan of Elijah Wood. And I must say I was disappointed. Wood was probably the only positive thing about this movie. The plot was disconnected and hard to follow, the characters were boring, and the movie overall was a bomb. And Brooke Shields, trying to act like she was interested in hip-hop? Ow. That one in itself was hard to wrap my brain around.
What was the point of this movie?
Spoiler: Watching Shields and Wood make out during the end credits was about as awkward as you could possibly imagine. They didn't fit. It was one of the most forced-looking movie kisses I have ever seen.
Try Seventeen (2002)
Funny
It was funny, creative, and cute. I loved it. The random hallucinations were original, and the romances between Jones and both women were interesting. Elijah Wood gave a great performance, as did Mandy Moore and Franka Potente. I recommend this movie to anyone!
