The Tick (2016–2019)
10/10
Captures the spirit of The Tick very well
25 August 2017
After waiting what seemed like forever after the pilot for the series to come I was surprised to find that I extremely enjoyed the show, it had the feel of the animated series down well and had everything the original live action TV show missed out, a lot of people seem to think it is trying to be dark or serious but they clearly don't understand satire and even the gore moments just come across as slapstick and over the top but that in itself suits what the show was all about perfectly and even the villains are perfectly selected, just watched the first 6 episodes and already looking forward to more, if you enjoyed the animated show and enjoy a good superhero parody feel then you will enjoy this, imagine sam raimis spiderman minus any of the serious tones or dark moments to it just the colourful heroes in a dull less saturated surroundings cracking jokes and having fun.

Easily a 10/10 for me and peter serafinowicz had grown on me now already, at first I felt that maybe he wouldn't have the look as Patrick Warburton was perfect in look and voice in the original live action TV series but peter gets the voice perfect and the mannerisms down perfectly bringing the tick to life.

Lazy writing low quality animation
7 August 2017
There isn't much work from Kevin Smith that I don't like and I love the jay and silent bob characters but honestly I just found this boring, referencing as many of his own movies as possible referencing as many superhero movies as possible and.... no actually I think that is about it, I did laugh around 3 or 4 times throughout but I had to force them and even afterwards I just felt kinda dirty, like "omg did I even just laugh at that" moments, wasn't anything like the comics or anything was more like a bad episode of the Clerks animated series, the kind of episode you would press skip on if it actually was from that series, kevin smith constantly popping up to explain to the audience how they don't feel the same was as their comicbook counterparts I just felt this was lazy rushed and for the sake of making an animated movie rather then doing it because it would be hilarious or quality content. Give me the comics or even the movie but the animated movie, no thanks.

Forgettable movie
17 July 2017
Honestly when a film is bad I usually have to consider its rating carefully but not here boring premise boring movie nothing more to be said and if you waste time on it you will only be left saying "why did I bother"

The premise is ridiculous in all honest and I love a good horror or gore movie or a film with a good twist but this has none of those.

Spiderman feels like Spiderman again
7 July 2017
The truth is as much as I loved the raimi take on spiderman and the first 2 where great films they where never really that close to the comics, then the Amazing spiderman movies where something I also actually enjoyed for the most part but again didn't feel like spiderman and the second one had too much filler too many repetitive scenes and felt like a jumbled mess because they where trying to use it start creating their bigger spiderman universe with the sinister six etc which seems like it ended up being a waste of time in the end now.

But this film surprised me, from the trailers I thought it would be a little TOO cheesy for me to enjoy and as much as it does feel like more of a kids film it was none the less a fun watch aslong as you are the type of adult that doesn't go into every movie expecting it to be aimed at that crowd, it is much more like a Marvel movie but to be honest if ever there was a Marvel character that suited the type of films marvel are making it was definitely Spiderman he is finally the wise cracking young kid he always has been and starting him off so young simply gives us time to see him grow up into the adult peter parker we have seen for quite some time over and over again giving Marvel a chance to really build the character up well without having to just force the uncle ben death on us as the only driving power behind peter being a hero.

It feels like a proper 90s early 2000s superhero movie and despite going in hesitant I have to admit I enjoyed every second of it, a lot of people complaining about how he was basically iron man clearly never read the comics as peter used various new tech throguhout the years in his suit and had as many varied suits as even the likes of iron man... well OK not quite that many but you get the idea, but I feel a lot of the hate is coming from people wanting some kind of Nolan batman universe again where everything is dark and moody and serious, but that was never really spiderman as a whole as its tone was very light 90% of the time.

Either way see it judge for yourself but don't expect anything too dark, michael keaton is a great vulture and his character can be dark at times but it never goes over the top.

Take your kids or if you are a real fan of spiderman from the comics go and enjoy otherwise it may be a 50/50 movie for you.

One of the worst movies you will ever see... honestly
5 July 2017
It is basically a cheap movie made by people who clearly do not know what they are doing but hold themselves in high esteem, you would honestly be better off simply making your own movie with a hand-held camera and a few friends who have never acted before in their lives.

Basically it comes from that section of movies that usually try to trick you into thinking it is something else then you put it on and realise you have been duped. Don't waste your time or bandwidth on this monstrosity.

Those who where in or worked on the movie have clearly added their own rating on here also as there is no way this film should be above a 2 or 3 and that is being generous, but there are votes of 9 and 10 in there... only someone that worked on this monstrosity would vote it that highly or have any high regard for this crap.

Wonder Woman (2017)

Honestly just a boring movie...
1 June 2017
I noticed a lot of positive reviews... but I also noticed a lot of them are ranting on about how they got to go to a free screening before reviewing it and so many ranting on about gender equality...

But how is any of that a good thing? that a movie is now based on these things "did you get in for free and does it do good things for my gender" I mean do we not care for the stories or film direction anymore? or the overly bad use of CGI which is becoming existent in all DC movies now? The film was a pretty bad rehash of the first captain American movie with a hint of thor and the new DCEU movie feel which is getting old quickly.

Bad cast bad music rolled into a story that could have worked had the setting not felt so recently familiar and had wonder woman actually come across like a strong badass character instead of scrawny weak looking "hero" she was never all that interesting in the comics in all fairness when she started out and only stood out later on for the fact she was barbaric and wasn't against taking the life of a villain if she felt it was the right thing to do even making the justice league turn their backs on her at one point for snapping the neck of maxwell lord.... but this movie was clearly just made to keep feminists happy and it seems to have done the trick but like with the ghostbusters franchise if you are an actual fan of the franchise before the new movie then you will be sorely disappointed.

In short in this movie she is less of a conan the barbarian or red sonja in this movie and more like xena warrior princess, honestly you want a real wonder woman movie just go rewatch red sonja and call it a day, DC haven't saved anything in my eyes yet. I feel they should have gone with supergirl or something and gotten her angsty character traits down perfectly with her rage and a great movie could come from it.

One of the most pointless cash-in franchise movies ever
15 February 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Firstly a few points

1. A masterclass in how NOT to edit an action movie together, shaky cam mixed with overly fast sequencing is enough to give you a headache or at the very least go "wait whats happening right now?" it was just so unnecessary and only went to further show the lack of directing ability when it comes to actions scenes, if you cannot get a few second shot during a fight and instead have to splice 100 half second shots together just to get 50 seconds worth of a fight scene, then why even bother?

2. The whole plot with wesker "wesker you are fired" so now the red queen can take you out.... is so ripped off from robocop and has been done to death, lazy writing.

3. And at the end... alice is told that they had to know she was willing to give up her life for others, but honestly what a load of nonsense, alice still could have released the antivirus to save others whether she thought she would die or not, pointless plothole for the sake of adding extra tension with the "oh but if alice does it, she will die" then at the end "nope, you wont" its like the old "and they woke up and lived happily ever after" ending so trivial.

Honestly, I didn't mind the first movie, but since then it has just dragged on and on limping along with more wounds with each new movie, this new one was purely to make a bit of cash off of those die hard fans that love trash movie franchises, those that don't care about 1000 plot holes and just want to see something explode unrealistically and see the same actress do all the same stuff over and over again that has already been seen and done in the previous films, I would put this franchise now on par with Underworld, just pointless drivel scripted out in about an hour without any care whatsoever, childlike almost, what is worse is that this film adds nothing to the overall series, its just there for the sake of dragging it out further, would love for it to finally just die off and maybe reboot it, different, with better writers and directors but most of all acting, the lead actress almost acts now like she couldn't care less about being there despite it being the only real franchise that keeps her in work. I can enjoy bad films, good films, great films, but I just cannot enjoy movies that feel like they where slapped together in a made for TV movie style for the sake of making some cash.

Utterly fictional take on her life
13 February 2017
This is just another one of those made for TV movies that twists the truth as much as humanly possible to get you to feel sorry for the main focus, she was not a straight A down to earth catholic girl by any sense of the word, she was quite the opposite with serious mental problems who took to cutting to deal with it, had they stuck with her real life story it might have been an interesting watch, but as always lifetime has to make the women out to be innocent and weak, it ruined what could have been an interesting true story with another pointless waste of time.

Don't bother watching this whether you are a huge fan of hers or never heard of her before, because either way you'll just be getting lied to throughout and come out believing she is someone she most definitely is not.

If you read the comics.... If you don't read the comics....
13 January 2017
In short if you know deadpool if you read the comics and enjoyed them over the years then you will love this movie, they really did get it spot on to how it should have been made, almost like a 90s made for TV movie but with a bigger budget, it suits deadpool 100% If you don't read the comics, don't like deadpool or don't know who he is then you will likely become one of the sour adults reviewing this with 1 star and complaining that it simply isn't funny and probably throwing out a few insults to those that enjoy the comics and/or the movie.

If you didn't read the comics and still enjoyed it then kudos to you, you are not easily offended like some of these ancients giving it bad reviews because they didn't get what was funny about it.

Star Wars: Battlefront (2015 Video Game)

A fun game easy to pick up right off the bat
30 March 2016
A fun shooter with interesting weapons and a lot of replay ability, its not hard to play and fall in love with

not as technical as the older battlefront games but its good as its own separate game heres the first ten minutes of the game for those haven't played yet, but if you enjoy a simple shooter easy to throw on and play for an hour or two then you wont be disappointed at all

plenty more on the channel too but i don't know anyone that has regretted buying it, yet anyway, and i don't even have the latest DLC still loving it

the so called honest "trolls" and those with "no lives"
25 March 2016
all these reviews from trolls who cannot accept they are in the minority trying to insult anyone having their honest opinion of the film, but no don't be honest because that somehow makes you a troll with "no life" simply for not liking an incoherent mess of a movie, even if uve seen it you apparently have no right to feel disappointed by a movie that many have waited 20 years for this movie since the idea originally popped up but never happened, we finally get it and most the movie is given away in the the trailer to start off with.

its still funny seeing these reviews that don't actually review the movie but are simply aimed at insulting anyone with a difference of opinion, yet you see how many people that review helps its usually around 20% of those that read them that agree with a whopping 80% to 70% disagreein, does that not tell these people that they are the trolls? you are in the minority if you enjoy this movie, just accept it, it doesn't matter at all but it is what it is.

Terrible movie, no idea how this got so much advertisement
7 December 2015
sorry but it was just terrible, the acting was some of the worst I've seen in a long time, i read the first review giving it a 10/10 which was quite obviously written by someone who worked on the movie, easily identified by the 9 out of 90 people found that review helpful, that other 81 people knew what was going down i noticed it was one of the most downloaded movies online so read up on it, despite the reviews said id see for myself but wow, i can only blame myself but wish i could get that time of my life back to waste on a real actual movie instead, it pretends to be something new yet its not it pretends it has a point to it but it doesn't its just a long drawn out waste of film, don't bother.
