Bates Motel (1987 TV Movie)
10/10
I Love This Movie
22 April 2014
I don't understand the low ratings for this little gem of a movie. So what if it ignores the psycho sequels and changes up a few things from the original psycho. It's still a great movie. Good acting and a nice little ghost story mystery thrown in. I especially loved Bud Cort as Alex. I am a huge fan of the original Psycho and it's sequels and I think this is a great addition for any psycho fan or even someone who has never seen psycho. It was great revisiting the Bates Motel all covered in cobwebs and neglected. Gave it a nice creepy feeling. I just upgraded to a better copy of this from ioffer (they are also selling it on amazon) and it's a fairly good picture quality. Don't let the bad reviews keep you from giving this movie a try.

Lizzie (2012)
1/10
This movie made no sense
20 October 2013
Warning: Spoilers
I find the story of Lizzie Borden so interesting and watch everything I can find on it. This movie, however, really had nothing to do with it. The cover art shows the Lizzie Borden house in the background, but this movie didn't take place in the house! Why was Lizzie Allen seeing the maid and the Borden ghosts when they weren't even living in the same house? Made no sense at all. Could of been OK had it been the LB house, still not great, but maybe watchable. And lay off the wine already! I guess that was why she was having all the visions, mixing tons of alcohol with pills. The acting wasn't as bad as some people have reviewed (in my opinion). I thought Corbin Bernsen did a good job.

Evil Dead (2013)

Awful, disgusting
18 July 2013
This movie is absolutely AWFUL! I was expecting a nice ghost story in an old cabin and what I got was disgusting gore and more gore. I love a good scary movie, but this one was not scary, just disgusting. I ended up watching the last half in fast forward as I just wanted to get to the end and didn't want to watch anymore of this gore fest. How it has a rating of 6.7 is beyond me. I only looked at the rating without reading the reviews and that was a mistake. This is one of the worst movies I have ever seen. If I could of given it less than 1 I would have. The only consolation I have is that I only paid $1.20 renting this from red box instead of watching it at a theater. Unless you love gore and vomit, AVOID!!

Intensity (1997 TV Movie)
9/10
Great thriller!
17 April 2010
This was a great movie and followed the book very closely. Since I have read the book the movie was spoiled a bit for me given that I knew what was going to happen all the way through. If you haven't read the book, however, sit back and enjoy a very intense suspenseful thriller. John C. McGinley was excellent at playing the creepy and insane Vess while Molly Parker did a great job as the troubled heroine. I found my copy of the movie at ioffer.com for $6 plus $2 shipping. Just wanted to let you know since this movie is hard to find. It came in DVD form and was excellent quality. Apparently I haven't wrote enough for this to be posted so I'm just going to blabber on a bit to get my 10 lines written. I don't know why this is a requirement as I prefer to read shorter reviews!
