Tron (1982)
What the...
Great for cheezy movie marathons! Given that I'm of the computer generation, jaded on high-tech quality, the special effects came to me more as special ed. effects. They really like their primary colors, Kinect-it sets and partial fractals. While watching it with a few college friends, (under no influences) we were not ashamed to admit we had no clue what was going on (*this might have been a poor sound quality issue, however). We did however find the "zapping" scenes hysterical and the anti-theft device costumes wonderfully unique for their take on 80's spandex. Was the whole digitalizing of the orange bit to make the digitalization of Flynn seem logical?? 'Cause it failed miserably. Final opinion: Disney??? If you say so...
The Van (1977)
Thought it was Supervan- jipped!!!
This movie was packed pull of endless surprises! Just when you thought it couldn't get worse, they added more joints and more pink fuzzy-lined vans with raunchy sex scenes. As you can guess, I was a victim of the original version. We were tricked into watching it thinking it was Supervan, the host box which promised lasars, jail breaks, and much more. Who would have thought a Dollar Store Christmas present could have been so much fun!
