I really enjoyed this documentary! It's a insightful and brisk story of how sound and energy effects everything. It has opened my mind to the things I can't see. Now I want to get a sound bowl!

Blood Diamond is about a war in Sera Leon and the murder of the locals for the acquisition of diamonds. The criminals here brutally use their own as slaves to harvest the minerals that will make them rich. It also highlights the greed and manipulation that characterizes the international diamond market. The characters are well developed and there are very strong acting performances, especially Leornard DiCaprio and Jennifer Connelly. The film really makes memorable points about how money corrupts. Child soldiers, gangsta rap, and human rights violations are portrayed with realism and great effect to convey the theme in creative ways. This film will stay with you for a long time! It is very well constructed story and Director Edward Zwick deserved a Oscar nomination for it. Very well done!

"! It wins high marks with a story that is original, funny, and very entertaining.
The film demonstrates how ridiculous politics has become by comparing it to a even more outlandish world: beauty pageants!! Both "industries" are popularity contests with success based on attractiveness, power, and the ability to regurgitate socially acceptable quotes.
This film is about politicians in a small town who compete to be the next mayor. But, they must compete in a beauty pageant style event to win the approval of the voters. The build up is a lot of fun as we watch small town politicos lie, take brides, and indulge in nightlife. The beauty pageant contest is like of a small town "American's Got Talent" contest. The competition categories are funny and the film climaxes with a satisfying twist ending.
If you like "Waiting For Guffman", you'll love this one! Highly recommended!
