Queen Cleopatra (2023)

To laugh or to cry...?

To describe the Netflix series, a comedy of errors in a trajedy, which is a genuine trajedy. There is enough evidence today of the circumstances existing existing at the time of Potelmiac Egypt. Hollywoodisation is used to sensationalise certain events, however when used the shallow research, it results in serious falsification of the narrative. Known fact she was Greek not Egyptian. Indepth records exist who they married and what language they spoke customs they followed, however this series totally disregards historical records.

Further, the narrative is does not have a smooth flow nor does have point to convey. Words random and episodic comes to mind.

Army of the Dead (2021)

Lady zombie in high heels!

Another zombie movie, another movie with senseless violence without connecting with script. And finally, leader lady zombie in heels and wearing jewelry!

Senseless to the point of pain. The CGI is satisfactory lot of effort is seen in the production. However, the story line is weak and disjointed. Violence is episodic and the action scenes appear to have shot separately from the rest of the movie.

Dave Batistuta and Zack Snyder are wasted in this movie. The actors are not well directed and the transition in dialogue are poorly edited.

There are many zombie apocalypse movies and this genre fans will be disappointed.

Prey (I) (2022)

Excellent Hunter-Killer movie

Excellent. Rivetting performances by the cast Amber Midthunder and Dakota Beavers are a revelation. Director Dan Tractenberg has done a good job as usual. Having seen all the Predator movies ( Including Alien ones) I can say firmly, this should not be missed.

The story line set in the 17 cent gives a excellent example of negative interaction between white hunters and native Indian Comanche. The storyline closely follows the 'Predator' franchise with heart stopping action and not excessive use of CGI.

The setting shows the untouched pristine country side with good camera work. The action is well choreographed.

What are the producers/ director/story writer/actors thinking when making such movies? Making such terrible movies is draining resources and may cause irreparable damage to Bollywood.

The once cold blooded, no morals, ice cold bounty hunter has been reduced to a catcher of mouse hunting droids.

Is there really a crime lord with high morals and a forgiving nature?

This surely is the end of the line for Star Wars original characters and Disney should re name there show to anything but Star Wars.

Single season series..

Star Wars is a great story because it maintained a consistent storyline and character personalities across multiple platforms like cinemas, TV, animation series and comics. Star Wars canon was lagendary and consistent.

However this series is totally out of sync with the original idea. The producers and showrunners need to seriously rethink the storyline or see the end of the franchise.

The Book of Boba Fett (2021–2022)

Not a true depiction of Boba Fett

The story writers and show runners need to be true to the characters as envisaged in the original storyline so far. Boba Fett is supposed to be a merciless bounty hunter who is a clone and not having any loyalty, ethics or value for any sort of life form. He cannot be suddenly shown to be a highly ethical crime lord who wants to rule by 'respect not fear' or seen dancing with Tuskens.

As a hardcore Star Wars fan, it is difficult to adjust to such changes and accept Boba Fett as his character is being depicted. Imagine Count Dooku or Senator Palpatine or Darth Maul suddenly becoming pious law abiding citizens.......

Most Dangerous Game (2020–2023)

Worth watching.

Do watch Hard Target Jean Claude Van Damme and directed by John Woo if you like this genre.

Most dangerous game is fast paced though repetitive at times. Liam Hemsworth and the director have done a good job.

Kate (I) (2021)

Director Cedric Nicolas-Troyan has a distinctive style. Kate may predictable, however the movie has a flow and the actors have done a good job. Highly watchable.

Anna (II) (2019)

Masterpiece

Another directorial masterpiece by Luc Beeson. Helen Mirren, Luke Evans and Cillian Murphy have done excellent work. Sasha Luss is a revelation.

The story line has very sharp twists and turns do watch to the end.

Excellent direction by Priyadarshan. Good all around acting especially Amrish Puri, Tabu and Anil Kapoor Movie brings out the realities of rural India and consequences of caste code violations.

Good restrained acting

Allu Arjun puts in an excellent restrained performance, well supported good acting by the supporting cast. Excellent direction, as usual by Director Vakkantham Vamsi.

I saw the dubbed version, one can only imagine how much better it would be in the original language!

Very very watchable.

The director Dibakar Banerjee has a made an unconventional chase movie without the unnecessary glitzy fake action. The narrative is tightly controlled and logical. The actors do a good job. Worth watching.

Raised by Wolves (2020–2022)

Original idea in an era of remakes

Original idea with Ridely Scott stampted all over the series. Raised by Wolves is an original series which makes you think about atheist and believers in God or such like concepts in a sci-fi setting. And doing it in an excellent manner. See the series for the sheer idea and cinematography.

Blue Night (2018)

The movie is made in a particular style. I would probably behave in the same as SJP if i am told I have a good probability of having a malignant brain tumor. The movie perfectly captures the emotions of person who realises that they have been selfish all their lives and now need seek support from them. SJP does an excellent job in capturing those emotions. Worth a watch.

Come on folks, imminently watchable. I am very certain anyone giving a bad review would have watched the entire movie.... not one of us left it mid way. If you seek perfection, you are on the wrong planet.... Sure there are issues with direction and pace, however, tremendous effort by the cast and production team. Final verdict..... Very watchable.

Excellent direction for complex storyline. The flashback and current story integration is a successful experiment. Randeep Hooda, Kartik Aaryan, Arushi and Sara Ali Khan have put in creditable performances. For negative reviewers, see the movie for what it is and not what you want it to be.

Out and out action movie. Gives a true feel of a hot and humid environment. Movie is meant for action/adrenaline junkies. Well shot close quarters combat. Apltly shows initiative rests with the attacker. Hemsworth and Hooda put in commendable performances.
