Wonder Woman 1984 (2020)
Gobble, bobble, it is better to EAT a Turkey than watch one.
Due to the Chinese Wuhan VIRUS i did not get to see this in theaters. When the DVD came out I was ecstatic to see the sequel to the superb "Wonder Woman" movie. I cuddled up with the DVD and some snakes, watched the spectacular opening sequence with Diana as a child in Themyscira. WOW this is going to be good i said, IT VERY RAPIDLY WENT DOWN HILL FROM THERE. Around 50 minutes in it officially turned into one if not the worst movies i have ever seen. The entire film seemed to suffer a total lack of energy. From the Actors all the way down to the script. Cheetah was by far one of the worst characters EVER, and Maxwell Lord was a joke. So what you have is character you don't like, A script that sucks, bad acting, horrible directing, musical score, production, set design....... My God the catering on this film was probably sub par. All in all a REAL BONEAFIED TURKEY. ...... GOBBLE GOBBLE.
Coroner (2019)
Just another CSI type show with a canadian twist.
For USA audiences this is from Canadian TV so the locations, shops, cities, and jokes are from a Canadian perspective. Although some of the plot lines are timely and thought provoking, for some reason the show falls short on every episode. A very large part of the problems is with the lead character Jenny. She is damaged goods has mental issues and sees a non existing Dog. Haunted by her past demons she plods through each episode. Often boring i just could not get behind her character and felt no sympathy for her at all. I think part of the problem is the Felicity effect. Felicity was a very good American drama show and when the lead actress cut her hair between seasons it ended the series, no one liked her with short hair, it de feminized the character. I get the same vibe with Jenny. Although I at times really enjoyed parts of the show, for me Jenny and the sub plots made it not worth returning to watch more. It just misses the mark for being a worthwhile series.
Spy Games (2020)
Passable, fun at times, but had a lot of missed opportunities.
I liked this show! I could have loved it but found it a little bland and it had a lot of missed opportunities and there a certainly better shows out there. I loved the core cast I.E. the judges but they were way to soft on the contestants. As for the contestants for the most part they were a joke. Far to clueless or to large an ego and i DO NOT give a crap about their own sob stories. The SPY game is not like in the movies it is far to serious a business and nobody seamed to really be taking it all seriously. At least this show did NOT!. Every contestant SHOULD HAVE BEEN waterboarded. Felt the bite of a rubber hose across their backs, thrown naked in a cold cell without food or water for three days. Been questioned non-stop for 36 hours straight then asked to perform some task. They should have made it real. At least more real. One of the BIGGEST missed opportunities was this is "SPY" GAMES one of the contestants should have been a "SPY" a ringer part of the game the one to beat. The "SPY" is only revealed in the final. At the end there should have been only two contestants left, with one of them the SPY who can NOT WIN the game because they are the game. Make it so the contestant knows they have lost, only for it to be revealed at the last moment that they have been duped by the SPY and have in fact won. IT IS AFTER ALL "SPY GAMES".
Midway (2019)
Disappointing!
The director of this film has made some of my favorite films. He has also made some of the worst films I'll never watch again. Midway sadly falls in the later category. Sad when you consider the terrific cast and very good acting. I had high hopes when started watching but as the film DRAAAGGGEEED on and on, i found myself bored almost to tears. Even the action scenes seemed slow and ponderous and seemed to drag. There were lots of missing events and key historical sequences that left me wondering what the point of the film was. I kept getting this creepy feeling that the film makers actually made a three part six hour mini-series then cut all the goof parts and called it a movie. Even the cinematography seemed faded or washed out just like the script. Sadly there are those who have given this film good reviews, just as there are those who actually think "Pacific Rim" or any of the last five "Star Wars" films are actually good movies. It just goes the show how jaded and brainwashed we have become.
Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker (2019)
Two stars is far to generous, for any original fan.
I REALLY wanted to like this film. Being an original fan of STAR WARS as I was in the theater in 1977, when it was shown for the first time, and had my mind blown like everyone else did that night. I had very high hopes that DARTH Kennedy and DARTH Abrams would somehow make up for the travesty that was the last FOUR so called Star Wars films. (the force awakens, last Jedi, rouge one, and the unforgivably bad Solo.) Sadly DISNEY and the SITH LORDS continued their rain of terror on the franchise and especially on FANS.
I gave the film the very high rating of two stars only because I have no doubt those mindless millennials who have been brainwashed by teachers, schools, the internet, the left, social media and Disney will think this film is great. IT IS DEFINITELY NOT.
There is no plot or story of any kind just a lot of running around. They bring Palpatine back which is a overt stab in the back to the original trilogy. RAY IS PALPATINE'S grand daughter who is the EVIL Sith Lord who thought up that idea. THEY JUST DON"T GET IT. Star Wars is the story of the SKYWALKER clan and their fight against evil. Ray needed to be LUKE's granddaughter. Remember in the original star wars when Luke wanted to get all those power converters in Tosche station he could have had a girl. Kylo switched sides like Vader, REY, Kylo, PALPATINE, and LEIA , all die but then Rey lives and The Gay kiss at the end, it all so ridiculous. Some of the worst story telling in history and a lot ripped-off from the original series.
A good one to miss for sure.
Prospect (2018)
Very flawed, low budget, well acted, Sci-Fi Gem. A valiant effort.
Other reviewers have done a far better job of reviewing this film than I can. I do think it is worth putting in my two cents worth. The film is very flawed however brilliant in many was. Many of the flaws may come from the $4million dollar budget.
But most glaring to me was the lack of setup or backstory, leaving me lost in a strange world. I was constantly playing catchup as to who these people were, why they were there and what they were after. This left it hard for me to relate to the characters. What they were after (some sort of gem/plant extract) just did not make any sense and was a little hard to swallow. The script overall was rather poorly done but may have been butchered by budget.
Despite its flaws the acting was often brilliant, I was especially impressed by seventeen year old Sophie Thatcher. This stunning young actress gave a very believable performance as cool headed sidekick to her father who had lived a rather tough life.
What makes this film exceptional is how small a story this is. This is not Luke Skywalker trying to save the galaxy. This is very much an "End-of-The-Road' kind of story. A father and daughter who are broke, indebt, one step away from being dead or worse. They have come to an out of the way tapped out, dead end, uninhabitable mining plant aboard the last starship to visit. Its do or die time, and no one will care, or even notice, if they live or not. Stories about the average person is what truly great SCI-FI is all about!
Legends of the Lost with Megan Fox (2018)
A differrent take on the past. A fairy good show on alternate views of history.
Not long ago a twenty dollar bill came into my possession were someone had stamped out "IN GOD WE TRUST" and stamped "TRUST IN SCIENCE". I laughed so hard I rolled around on the floor. Virtually all science tells us today as possible was once considered impossible, BY SCIENCE. I grew up with brontosauruses, all the science books said so. To say different was scientific heresy. Today we know there is no such dinosaur. Science got it WRONG.
Megan Fox takes a more spiritual view of the past and present alternate ideas that mainstream science considers heretical, female Viking warriors, Stonehenge a possible healing center, civilizations 12,000 years old or older (science says 5,500 Mesopotamia is the oldest) science ignores the fact that Gobekli Tepe is 11,000 years old.
I really enjoyed the alternate views on history and Megan has great insights on what she sees and show the viewers. Plus she has gotten a lot of inside access to things and people most shows never show. She also has a great narrative voice. I hope the show does sell and recommend it to all those who quest for the true science gets wrong time after time.
Dinosaurs crawled around on their bellies, Brontosauruses roamed the earth, all the stars and planets circled the Earth, the human body would be ripped to shreds if it traveled more than 60 MPH, the sound barrier can to be broken, the earth is flat not a round sphere, all these things science has gotten wrong.
Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath (2016)
Remini is a shinning light in the darkness of scientology.
Back when L Ron Hubbert was still alive I read Dianetics and thought it was a fascinating work of science fiction. Mankind has always lived in a world were many people feel something is missing in their lives. Some are so desperate to find something to believe in, to fill the void within themselves. These lost people will believe and follow anything that fills that emptiness within them.
Sadly there are those who for their own gratification take advantage of the lost souls of the world. Hitler, Rev. Jim jones, Heavens Gate, Scientology are classic examples of Cults that take advantage of the lost.
The hallmark of any Cult is the brainwashing, doctrine that they are only true path, everyone else is evil, and distillation of fear if you try to leave.
Remini's show presents and insightful insiders look at one of the most dangerous Cults of the 21st century using actual former members, including many members from the highest levels of scientology. Using eyewitness testimony from Cult survivors, actual documents, video footage Leah Remini takes you on an insiders ride into the Cults practices, brain washing, use of fear, and physical violence. She highlights how peoples lives are destroyed, families torn apart.
It is clear that every single former member needs to unite behind Remini's outing of scientology. This is especially true of the higher profile former members. Maybe one day the story of scientology will be a cautionary tale of the very real dangers Cults present. YOU GO GIRL!!!
Outlander (2014)
GREAT period drama but not for everyone.
I love this show and would have given it 10 out of ten but it does get a little to slow at times. If you know who Jane Austin is and like her works and movies and TV shows based on her work, and OH lets not forget there IS a little SCI-FI/Fantasy sprinkled in you might like this. Just think HG WELLS meets Jane Austin. just imagine a Time Traveling Doctor travels back to 1700's England and falls for a outcast Scottish clansman. Very well acted and a cool concept. worth a look at least.
Wild Wild West (1999)
ONE OF THE WORST FILMS EVER.
One of the worst films I have ever seen. Almost as bad as AFTER EARTH (the worst acted film ever). Will Smith can make good films M.I.B., I ROBOT, Bagger Vance, Hancock (maybe). This is not one of them. If you are a fan for the original Wild Wild West TV show This is an out right insult, I don't think I have ever been so offended by a move before. I don't know why studios keep taking beloved tv shows and turning them into offensive movies. Lost in Space, brady bunch, etc. By offensive I mean they take everything that people loved about the original and completely ignore it. It is like your wife makes spaghetti and chocolate cake for desert, but leaves out the pasta and the chocolate.
The Island (2005)
Great sci-fi film with cool hook. One of the better ones.
This one of the few really good sci-films Bay has done. Not like the crappy Transformer films. This one makes you think - what if - you woke up one day and discovered your world was nothing more than a lie the is another world out there and it is the real one! Your world is shattered and you discover that you are not you but a CLONE. Are you really you or is the real you, you? Then the horror of the your situation is discovered you are considered nothing more than spare parts. Some day the real you will drink to much and need a new liver and guess who they are going to take it from - YOU ! ! !
Charmed (2018)
NOT Charmed, NOT Good, Even BAD is to high a praise. NEGATIVE -5 Stars
Take the original show, cast, scripts, everything that people loved about the original show and do the opposite. This is so bad that even MAGIC could not save it. IMDB needs to allow for negative stars or anti stars for this show is from an ANTI-VERSE. I was so hopeful so looking forward to it. I was / AM a huge fan of the original show, this one had me nearly in tears by the end I felt so bad. It was like my Mother died all over again. I have learned my lesson I'll never watch a re-make again.
The Walking Dead (2010)
What there is a season 9? Are the producers madddddd
I just don't understand, a season 9 ??? Don't the producers get it? The series ENDED with Negan's defeat at the end of season 8. The entire series, everything that happened from the beginning of the first episode of season 1 lead up to grand climactic ending of the series with Negan ultimate defeat. When they killed off Beth they lost a lot of fans I know I'm one. She and carl were the hope of the future. Then the Negan character just sucked the very life out of what was left of the show. Then they killed off Carl and Maggie's husband.. The writing is on the wall the show is ending. Rick and company get all the communities together for one final last battle against Negan and the saviors. It just does not get any more climatic than that. I think most fans think the series is over. Rick and Maggie characters are leaving the show. Don't you get it THE WALKING DEAD is Rick and Maggie. It is all like some very uncomfortable bedside death watch for someone who has already dead. The series is over or more accurately we are over the series. There is so much better smarter programming out there few will return to a show who's time is past. Zombies are last years fashion!
Lost in Space (1965)
Classic 1960's SCI-FI TV serial. One of the best.
Define SPOILER? I do not thinks I've included and spoilers?
A True classic. You must understand the times in which it was made. Broadcast started in black and white as most TV's were black and white. I remember when my Dad brought home a COLOR TV. We plug it in and turned it on ....... Everything was in black and white??? At first we could not figure out what was wrong, then it dawned on US, all broadcasted where in black and white. We had to wait for the Sunday Night Movie to see Color. There were great shows on back then, not the F'en crap of today. Gunsmoke, Rawhide, Bonanza, Lost in Space, Voyage to the bottom of the Sea. Art linkletter, Ed Sullivan, I love Lucy, Mary Tyler Moore, Honeymooners, Even an occasional Bob Hope special, and of course a live ELVIS concert or two. Kennedy was dead (yeah!) and WE (U.S.A.) was going to the MOON!!!
We did not mind bad dialog or obvious papier-mache monsters it was all good fun and we never took it seriously. And a Season consisted of around 30 episodes or 7 to 8 months of viewing. Lost in Space started in black and white but ended its final season in color.
The worst thing about the show and the most likely reason viewership fell and the show was cancelled was Will Robinson. You had an entire cast of very good actors and yet the producers centered the show around Will and His Robot. Even as a kid I grew to hate Will Robinson because of that. It was a kind of joke we did not watch Lost in Space, we watched the Will Robinson show.
There are three things about Lost in space that are Iconic and you don't mess with: The ROBOT, the JUPITER II, and Dr. Smith. That is why the movie flopped and the 2018 Series is doomed.
Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018)
A betrayal of the SAGA and LEGACY
The dark, vile and evil Darth Abrams strikes again. I feel so sorry for Ron Howard. He must be hanging his head in shame. The only shining moment was Emilia Clarke and that is just because of G.O.T.. This farce has nothing to do with the Star Wars universe and the lead character looked and acted nothing like Han Solo. The droid was even more ridiculous. All the big name stars the evil Empire (Disney) stuffed into the story was enough to cause anyone to barf. What made Star Wars work was how unknown the actors where. It is as if no one who worked on this film ever saw the original or if they did they just did not get it. Worse than the Last Jedi is an understatement.
To be fair if you are part of the stupefied brainwashed generation say born after 1990 and think the latest Transformers or Pacific Rim movies are good you're probably had your mind programed enough to enjoy this travesty and are living proof Star Wars is dead and best buried.
Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey (2014)
One of the worst science shows I've ever seen.
The original series was a masterpiece ! ! ! What made it so was the science and even more so, the host. Carl Sagan was a master at drawing you into his world and filling you with wonder and awe. He brought science and the wonder of the universe to common man. He held your hand and lead you on a journey of discovery. I'll never forget when Sagan said "we are all made of star stuff."
This new series falls short in everyway that really matters. Sure it is visually stunning and will appeal to the current MINDLESS Generation who think pacific rim and new avengers are good movies.
Carl Sagan was a master orator Neil Tyson is not. Unlike Sagan, Tyson has no wonder in his voice does not draw you in. It is almost like he is trying to force look at things his way and not think for yourself. It felt like I was being lectured by a politician and not by a scientist. TYSON IS NOT SAGAN'S HEIR.
What is even worse there was very little substance to the show, very little science. For the most part it was all about the scientist and not the science itself. Episode after episode hour after hour was like watching one scientist patting another scientist on the back. An entire episode was about one scientist struggling to get her theories accepted, but they never explained the theory, why it was important, or how it effects scientific thinking today.
In simple terms this is a show about science patting itself on it back, it is science show for scientist, not for the common man. The cartoons used in some episodes where ridiculous. The really sad thing is due to the great visual effects and idiotic cartoons, you as an audience, are actually duped into thinking you actually learned something, instead you are brainwashed into thinking how great scientists are. It is really sad. Carl Sagan would be ashamed.
Recently I received a dollar the word God was scratch out and replaced with science, so it read "IN SCIENCE WE TRUST" In the 1800's science declared there was nothing left to learn that science knew everything and nothing was left to be invented. 95% of all we know was discover after that. for decades Dinosaurs where to massive to walk so they must crawl on their bellies, OOPS got that wrong. Sixty miles an hour is the fastest a man can travel, any faster than that and human body would be ripped apart. two weeks latter a race car diver went faster. The science said sound barrier can't be broken, they forgot to tell Chuck Yeager when he broke it.
It is the science that is important not the scientist for they are often wrong.
The Crossing (2018)
By far one of the best sci-fi series to come along in a long time.
What would you do to survive? Travel back in time?
What would you do to stop the unthinkable? How far would you go? Would you do the unthinkable?
Imagine a world at war. Image a genetically engineered Race of super humans called APEX who's goal it to wipe out humanity.
The battle lines are drawn human against human. APEX against human against APEX.
This is a show with so much potential, and one of the finest casts to come along in a series in a long time. VERY well acted and scripted.
Nova: Black Hole Apocalypse (2018)
One of the best in the NOVA series.
Janna Levin is the Host/Narrator for this excellent instalment of the Nova series.
She IS the Carl Sagan of today. She has the same charisma and ability to spellbind and inspire the viewer that Sagan had. A true inheritor of his legacy. She actually made learning fun and exciting. Her excitement was infectious, a true inspiration. "TOUR DE FORCE ! ! !"
She takes you through a lot of science and theory during this double length episode. Fortunately Janna does it in simple and easy to understand language backed up by lots of visuals. You will learn what gravity is, what Black Holes are, how they form and why they are important to galaxy formation.
At times I was so captivated by what I was learning I was on the edge of my seat. This is learning at its best. That said this is science and may not be for everyone. Younglings may find learning how the universe works and how galaxies form a little boring, or it just might be the spark a young Einstein needs.
EXCELLENT episode, and an ever better Narrator. EMMY WORTHY EPISODE.
Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi (2017)
NOT a Star Wars film. Long long ago in another reality........
I'm trying to be fair here. If you are a Millennial or even a Gen X'er and you thought Pacific Rim was one of the best films you've ever seen, or you've never ever seen STAR WARS then you will probably love this film. It does entertain in a very childish clownish kind of way. It felt more like something shown on Saturday morning on the disney channel or cartoon network. Sadly it has been Disneyfied.
If you sat in a theater as I did in 1977 and had your mind blown by a movie unlike any movie ever made before then you will not like the Last Jedi. It is the least Star Wars of any yet made. I actually thought i'd gone to the wrong movie.
The plot was horrible, the JarJar/Fin character was back and trying to run away as usual. What is Laura Dern doing in a Stars Wars movie? Kylo Ren finally got rid of the ridiculous mask and voice. Luke would never turn his back on the force he new to muck was at stake. Rey is nobody? Disney does not understand STAR WARS is the story of the SKYWALKER family. Rey must be a Skywalker or they whole thing falls apart. No one answers Leia's call? Luke just dies. It is like they are just rehashing episodes 5 and 6 trying to re-create Vader.
The whole thing went on way to long 152min. some where in there there might actually be a good 90min movie.
Rogue One (2016)
Disappointing, poorly done, Disney-fied, not STAR WARS
I had very high hopes for this film but was very disappointed.
The original trilogy (ep 4,5,6) has a look and feel that IS and WAS Star Wars.
Even the horrible prequels (ep 1,2,3) had that look and feel. Sadly Ep 7 the force awakens lost that look and feel.
I did not think it could get worse. Rogue One is even worse.
The acting was mediocre at best. Half the time the musical score was terrible and at times it was starwarish but not enough.
The worst character by far was the imperial Droid K2SO. In the entire STAR WARS universe there has never been a droid that did not act droid like until now, very poorly done Disney! This movie is mindless fluff, but does have lots of action and battle scenes and should appeal to children and the mindless tween crowd. If you forget this was supposed to be star wars it can be entertaining.
Star Wars fans especially those who sat a theater in the seventies will be horrified by what has become of the Star Wars universe and may find it a disappointment.
In sort if you loved The Force Awakens you'll love this, If you hated ep7 this one is the worst Star Wars yet.
I would not waste money on the DVD or BLYERAY it will be on TV Soon.
Mars (2016)
Awful Mixed Docu/Drama but it is about MARS.
Note: I've had to lower my review for season two. There is now way to much political B.S. mixed in with the so called science part. I've had to lower it to a 2 for that reason. the show should stick to the science and not politics. This is un-excusable science by definition must always be un-biased and simply present the scientific facts. VERY POORLY DONE>>>>
The good news it is about the planet MARS! Thus the Five stars. And five stars is being very kind. Don't get me wrong I am a huge science-fiction fan I am also a fan of science. I am an advocate for manned space flight and for colonizing other planets especially Mars. I have been a member of the "Planetary Society" for decades when Carl Sagan was involved.
But this show fails on just about every level, which is sad. I do watch it because IT IS ABOUT MARS, but it is a painful experience.
First off a lot of the cast have strong accents and are often hard to understand. I do get that Mars colony would most likely be international but I want to be able to understand what they are saying.
Mars colonization would be the hardest thing man has ever done it would be vital that everyone could understand each other. To succeed the first pioneers would all have to speak the same first language. Later it would not matter so much. Just image someone in a panic yelling in French or Russian for you to flip a switch or we will all die and you don't understand because you speak English.
The acting is mixed. Some are very good actors, but some are very wooden and not very good.
The writing over all is subpar with poor scripts.
You are in 2037 on the edge of your seat the tension is building and suddenly your in 2016 and some scientist is talking about global dust storms, who the f'en cares your into the drama. If your lucky you start to get into science in 2016 and then your back in 2037 the tension is gone you have lost the dramatic effect.
The constant switching back and forth between Drama and Documentary does not allow either to work. The constant switching destroys the dramatic effect and makes the science mediocre.
They should at the very least show half hour of drama followed by a half hour of science explaining what happened in the drama, at least then you could follow it.
The time line is little ridiculous they are going to be dead in a few hours and next episode three years have gone by and they have a base underground.
Show fails in every way but hey it is about MARS thus worth the pain, if your a Mars fan that is.
The Shallows (2016)
Not bad movie, pretty girl, mean shark
Someone compared this movie to JAWS which is idiotic, JAWS is JAWS there really is no comparison, nothing alike.
This is a one woman show, even though there are other actors in the film this movie boils down to Girl VS Shark. The plot is a little thin and some of it does not make sense, but it did hold my attention.
The bad guy is of course the shark who seem to be mad at everyone. He is not after food as he has a whole whale to devour. He appears to be after revenge and not territorial as the film implies.
The acting is good, effects well done, shark scary.
Lively's character is a very capable young woman whos medical training saves her live. She does not give up, and has a very kind heart. She takes time to save a wounded Gull. All this gets you on her side.
This movies is worth seeing but not worth paying for unless your a Fan, Wait till it comes out on cable or late night.
The Revenant (2015)
Poor boring remake not worthy of time or praise.
I saw this same movie when I was a kid early 70's I think it was dark boring and I fell asleep I remember it had a boat that some idiots were dragging around the wilderness.....
This one is worse. At 2-1/2 hours long and you could have cut at least an hour out of it and not miss a thing. Some scenes went on and on. One of the worst directed films I have ever seen.
The acting was fair Leo DiCaprio did a lot of grunting and talking in pawnee but certainly nothing Oscar worthy. He has done far better acting in past productions.
The over all tone of the film was dark drab and dreary, but well filmed visually, so I will give a nod to the D.P.
The whole film took place in the winter with snow on the ground and some streams were frozen. When Leo fell into the river and outran hostile Indians by floating down stream, it all fell apart.
He had to have been in the a 34-40 degree river for 20-30 minutes and then crawled onto the bank and with night coming and he survived....The night...in wet cloths.....NOT POSSIBLE !!! He would have been dead in about 15 min. of hypothermia. Even if he was wearing wool clothes a wool blanked and a grizzly bear hide he would have froze.
It got worse from there Hugh Glass's story is well known and documented. he did hunt down both men that left him there but forgave both men he did not kill them Over all the whole movie was poorly done......
Fear the Walking Dead (2015)
Probably as bad as it gets. NOT worth watching,SAD
I am a huge fan of THE WALKIING DEAD, love-it love-it!!! But FEAR makes me sad, such a good idea so poorly done. It is like they took everything that makes The Walking Dead so good and did just the opposite.
First they took a group of really good actors and turned them into characters you just don't like. These are not nice people. You have a drug addict, a murderer and torturer, a idiot, a stuck up little b***h, etc.
Just look at the things they do, they murder a guy, they take a soldier prisoner and torture him, they release 2000 walkers who kill how many people, the leave the gate open to their community killing how many friends and neighbors, attack a military medical facility killing how many more people.
These are very bad people who do not care who they hurt or how many people whos deaths they cause. You can not like them else you are as twisted as they are. And all that was season one.....
The first episode of season two got worse it was very predictable. They are on the ocean, how lame is that. The minute I saw Alicia with the radio, I new what was going to happen she going to start taking, some "boy" is going to answer, give a sob story, she tells him where she is and guess what he is on his way. And guess what that is just what happens. How stupid can she be she let the whole world know they got something more precious than gold fresh water! You already know what is going to happen her boy is coming with friends, they are going to attach. saw that one coming, only thing that could make this season worse is if the stay on the water, or god forbid a submarine makes an appearance at some point.
This show is predictable, insulting to intelligent people, has characters you just don't like, is poorly written and produced. This needs to be canceled ASAP. Sad really it has great actors, good direction, good photography yet is so bad, and The Walking Dead is so good..........
Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens (2015)
Worst film yet in the series, Mindless.
**** warning this review may offend those who actually like it *****
**** If you are one of THOSE PEOPLE then don't read it *****
I gave it one star because I was expecting something great and was sadly disappointed. It was awful and disappointing in so many ways. It can however be an entertaining film, just not a good one.
I do need to be fair if you were born around 1990 and are a mindless little twit you will love this movie. You will love it because you've been brainwashed your whole life into believing this is the kind of stuff you are supposed to like. You've been turned into a mindless automaton who cant wait for then next transformer movie. Rehash a old plot, glitz it up with over the top effects, add a pretty girl, a token black dude, some explosions, really bad acting and dialog, and hey you got a blockbuster. Sad thing is there are actually people who think it was good....
A long tine ago in a galaxy far, far away......bad guys looking for droid on a mission, lonely girl ends up with droid, bad guys come looking for droid kill everyone, girl flees aboard the Millennium Falcon, is captured, escapes.....Wookie, Han Leia ...... big bad giant sphere weapon destroyed planet, bad guy in black with mask, big fight to destroy big bad weapon, have to disable shield generator, good guy dies, big saber fight, big weapon goes boom, girl flies off to be trained by Jedi master....... WAIT A MINUTE ......I saw this movie in 1977 it was called STAR WARS episode IV (renamed later as A New Hope, Same story same plot just the names and places changed to protect the guilty...... I was hoping for something new modern not a remake......
A long time ago in a galaxy Far, Far away........ There was a desert planet on which lived a British gal named Rey, what wait a minute a British accent?????&^&^*& ..... I loved the Rey character I like Miss Ridley.... but loose the accent ...... annoying as hell
What this a poor little idiot runaway storm Trooper, who acts like a little kid, Is a very BAD ACTOR, and what is the first thing he does is lie to everyone and that seems to be OK? OH and when the going gets tough he runs away and tries to catch a ride and that is OK too all is forgiven??? what the F! is going on. He must be the token black dude all films are required these days, and they make him out as a lying, traitorous, idiot, he gives all black people a bad name...... Or is that OK TOO?
Bad guys.....Kylo Ren is a spoiled little brat who throws temper tantrums with his light saber, nothing menacing here....WHO wrote this dribble???........ Heck even Darth Vader's breathing could send chills down your spine. And the Emperor is some kind of giant, what a little man who can throw lightning bolts from his hands isn't menacing enough you got get one of the giants from Riddley scotts new Alien's series..... UHG....
This is NOT STAR WARS of old, it is Disneyfied, it is even worse than the prequels, but if you are born in to the Programmed mindless, witless, little twit generation, that thinks the latest Transformers and pacific Rim are the greatest then you'll love this.
If you were in a theater in 1977 you'll be disappointed.
But lets be realistic, the Original Star Wars was a B-movie SCI-FI western set in space. It was poorly cast, had a horrible dialog and even worse acting, you could see the mat paintings, wires, etc. It is probably one of the worst movies ever made...... and everyone LOVED IT, no one had ever seen anything like it, it changed the world. Thousands of kids grew up and became engineers and we have Smart Phones, Tablets, internet, roomba's all because of a stupid little movie everyone loved......even me! Sad to see it all go so wrong....
The FORCE is NOT with this movie......
I tried to be Kind....
