Another Soap Opera in Outer Space, Boring drama

The writers of this series are brutally bad. The acting is 1 dimensional and the actors look and act cartoonish. That 3 inch high quaff of hair on Captain Pike is absurd looking. Hahaha what a silly series. After 6 episodes, I'm bored to tears. So sad an end for a once brilliantly written original series. Roddenberry would be turning in his grave at this mess.

Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore (2022)

This one is a complete dud film in the trilogy

Absolutely nothing to see here as the meandering plot goes on a train ride to Bordom-land. This film lacks everything the 1st two films had, which is charm, storytelling and great special effects creatures. Good luck trying to stay awake throughout this yawner.

Night Sky (2022)

Great Start Then Slowly Goes Nowhere

The first episode was like a top notch Twilight Zone show with lots of great ideas and mystery. Then the show bounces all over the place with meaningless tangents and boring scripts. But not a total waste of time. I suggest watching the 1st and the last episodes only. The rest is nonsense filler.

Absolutely the most boring movie I've seen in decades... I would say this film is unwatchable. Life is way too short. I couldn't handle more than 10 minutes of this drivel. Good luck to you if you can stay awake through this full torture of dull video Nothingness.

The Northman (2022)

Beautiful cinematography, great cast but ruined by excruciatingly boring script with long stretches of uninspired dialogue between characters. Nothing original here. Most episodes of The Vikings series were better than anything in this dull film.

Android Cop (2014)

Okay it's another typical Asylum ripoff of an old classic science fiction movie. It's so bad it's comical but maybe that's the point. It has bad acting, bad FX and a bad script. So if you want to see a cheesy spoof, this might give you a chuckle or two.

The first 60 seconds of the movie intro looked okay... then the actors began talking and acting and it was all rather comical. These are some of the worst actors to ever grace the screen. To sum up, the story was pathetic, the action was of a high-school play quality and the production was so cheap it was akin to a Monty Python comedy skit. Do not watch this garbage unless you hate yourself and feel like more self loathing for 90 minutes.

Great start. Then it's all downhill after the superbly made 1st season... season 2 is a but dull but okay. Season 3 is like a bad acid trip. A Complete mess that makes no sense unless you're stoned out of your mind, like the producers likely were. Hahaha.

This is beautifully shot and welled written fiction. Top notch cinematography. Brilliant choreography and well acted. As well there's a fine soundtrack to this fantasy period piece of an alternative frech revolution.

Unbelievably bad film with terrible acting and a screenplay written by a 12 year old kid, I'm guessing. Nothing really happens except some really boring banter in cheap sets on a 5 dollar budget. It doesn't get much more pathetic an endeavor than this stinker, really.

Dune (2021)

Makes David Lynch's Dune look better.

I found Villneuve's interpretation of Dune to be underwhelming despite decent visual effects. The characters were bland and the dialog was dull compared with the 80s version. Still worth a watch for science fiction fans. I expected better then again it's a daunting novel to put to film.

This film is funny. It starts out with 2 goons walking into an office building and wasting all the folks inside, guns blazing. Now in the real world once gun shots are heard everyone scrambles for cover and hides or tries desperately to get out of that building. But in this movie victims hear the gunfire and see bodies dropping like flies but they continue to casually stand around drinking cocktails or hanging out by the hallway water coolers, or going for a whiz at the urinals despite of all the carnage. Only when the bad guys are right in front of the victims do they get scared.... a hilarious goof. A laughable, low budget crime movie. An unintentional comedy.

Buckskin (2021)

This film has some really bad acting, in particular from the kid playing Levi. And the lead actor's wife needs to find a different career too. And the entire 2nd half of the movie is mostly boring and simplistic dialog between the kid and the main protagonist sent to rescue him from the woods and the apaches. This is a really low budget production. I made it to the ridiculous ending but it's not worthwhile watching this mess.

The Empty Man (2020)

A solid slow burn of ideas taken from an 80's era film noir.

The movie definitely had a familiar creepy vibe from the likes of Angel Heart, also supported by a taught soundtrack. Personally I was satisfied with the ending whereas other viewers might prefer a more typical cookie cutter explanation to the mystery. The acting, editing and production is all top notch. A film you can watch more than once to deconstruct the storyline.

The Night Clerk (2020)

The night clerk is socially awkward yet not very convincing as a person with Asperger's syndrome. The story is dull, predictable and plods along at a snail's pace. The poor acting of the lead, the silliness of the script and bad editing all combines to make this film difficult to watch through to the end. Very amateurish.

You'll notice right away there's a problem with Disappearance. All 6 or so actors are about as natural as robots at delivering their lines. This does ruin what is otherwise a very well produced film. The script may not be worthy of Hitchcock but it's definitely believable and intriguing as a mystery crime thriller. The cinematography, editing and pacing is also quite good. The wooden actors do improve slightly as the film progresses with a couple of laughable dramatic exceptions. I'd like to see this movie redone with capable thespians. Nice effort though. Worth a watch for the decent plot.

Deadwood: The Movie (2019 TV Movie)

An Insult to the Original Series.

This 10 years later film was incredibly dull and consisted mostly of the cast reflecting on a few key events of the original series. Hardly anything interesting or memorable happens in this follow up feature. It's basically a rehashing of an old feud and that's it. The great original cast is wasted here with nothing much new to say or do. What a drag.

Take a really poor script and add a slew of really amateur actors, throw in a lot of hokey drama and you get the picture here. Clearly one of those made for TV Family Hallmark films. This lame mess is a real showcase on how to Not make a movie, based on a true story.

Galaxy Lords (2018)

Very very cheaply done. As if you and your friends were having a Sci-Fi costume party and filmed it and decided to unleash it upon the movie universe. Entirely dreadful in every aspect. You'll want your 90 minutes of wasted life back if you sit through this to the end.

This movie is the epitome of horrible script writing and acting. And it's a shame because the premise is interesting in that it's a modern day retelling of the Frankenstein theme with cloning being the moral and ethical dilemma our main character has to deal with. This movie is so badly executed that it's comical. It's so bad that Nicholas Cage should have played the lead role here.

It's truly an incoherent mess with a haunted Lolita theme going on. Cage proves he's willing to take on a role in any video as long as he gets to be the lead and show off his bizarre facial expressions and suffering emotions. If you're into seeing a scruffy hobo Nick running around the house in tight underwear, and behaving like a sexually frustrated redneck trucker, high on crack and bourbon, then this is the movie for you. It's a surreal experience.

The acting is beyond horrible. You could get a bunch of random people off the street and get better performances than you see in this dreadful mess. Why do they even bother putting out garbage on a $1000.00 budget? Do these crap videos even make money? I lasted 10 minutes. Then Fast Forwarded to see if it improves. Not a chance. It's unwatchable. It's that bad, folks.

This film has everything you expect from a typical Nicolas "I'll take anything as long as I'm the protagonist" Cage film. Bad acting. Unoriginal, often boring script. Non-believable characters that you want bad things to happen to because they say do stupid things. And finally, there's a fatally incoherent plotline full of holes. This was a thoroughly dull experience from beginning to end. Even the voyeuristic erotica was poorly done. Unbelievablely amateurish.
