fast forwarded most of it
4 December 2022
I got about 10 minutes into this film before I started fast forwarding and that was only because I was curious about the ending.

Most of the plot made no sense and it also showed that they had no one who had any idea about police procedures, which is evident when they put 2 people under arrest in the same car.

The film seemed to be running to a formula. Stranger arrives in town, gets into a fight within 5 minutes with some random young guy who just happens to be the son of the guy who effectively runs the town and from there you can pretty much write the rest of the story.

My three stars are for the acting. They did okay with a poorly written script.

how did this get made?

Warning: Spoilers
This film is terrible. I couldn't even make it past the 30 min mark before turning it off. There are so many holes in the plot it's not even funny. The actors look like they're basically just going through the motions and half the time thinking to themselves how the hell did I get myself into this and how do I get out of it.

One of the most annoying plot holes was a director of NASA saying to his team that they're not say anything about what they've learned, when this would be covered by their contract under national security and breaching it would end you up in prison.

Oh and it seems that no one but some guy who is doing a minimum wage job has noticed the change in the moon's orbital pattern for the last few years.

What is this garbage?

This film makes Plan 9 from Outer Space look good.

This film doesn't even earn the classification of a B grade film with an A grade budget. I wonder if the only reason Willis did it was because he was bored, which is what he looked for most of the film.

Too cliched

Warning: Spoilers
I'd like to know if any of the writers have actually seen the original series. That was interesting in the fact that the main character was just drifter and the drama came from the town he was in that week and how he used what he'd learnt to help the people. This one seems to be falling back on the 'ohh it's Asian so we have to have some sort of mysticism'.

In the first five minutes they have the main villian stealing a mystical sword from the monastery that the main character in living in. Also she seem to be some great fighter after only 3 years.

self indulgent and over done
21 March 2021
This film come across as a piece of self indulgence. For the guy who directed Sucker Punch and The 300 it is a serious let down compared to most of his other work.

Also when compared to the theatrical release, there are scenes that really are irrelevant to story and seem to have been included purely on the basis that they were filmed.

This is one is purely for the fans

Don't always go by first impressions
8 February 2021
If you start watching this expecting Game of Thrones or Lord of the Rings then you will be disappointed, but if you just want something fun to watch then this will surprise you. The first few episodes of the first season are a little wooden, but after that the show improves.

If you're a fan of Roger Coreman's sword and sorcery films then you possibly enjoy this show

Good but has it's problems
16 July 2020
The show as good , but the writers have a tendency to let their own political views influence the show's story lines. Also the show has a tendency to reveal the identity of the seasonal villains to the audience long before the characters in the show learn who they are and this kind of detracts from the big reveal when the show's hero learns the identity of said villain.

Shootout! (2005– )

American centric and biased
2 May 2019
The series claims to show the both views, but it only ever really gives an American viewpoint, but is good for what it does show. The narration is also intended to make the viewer side with the Americans. In 2 episodes centred on WW2 the Japanese and German are referred to as killers rather than soldiers. In another episode centred on the Iraqi war the Iraqis are described as poorly trained and led.

It aso tends to concentrate on shootouts in which Americans were involved and that they received some sort of comendation for

Not to be compared to 50 shades
24 March 2018
Many of the previous reviewers have compared this movie with 50 Shades of Grey and it shouldn't be.

While it has some things in common with that movie, it is a completely different story. This is the story of a woman who all her life has done exactly what is expected of her. But after being introduced to BDSM, she finds that it helps her to become a stronger person.
