Paradiset (2003)

Well, just 5 minutes ago I ejected the DVD from my player, and I'm now considering burning my ol' Samsung 511 just because crap like "Paradiset" have defiled it.

I don't know what's wrong with us Swedes. It's as if our taste in movies descends to the pits of hell when the origin of the movie is Swedish. The acting in this movie embarassing (why do swedish actors always stutter?) and the story is a bit incoherent. It's almost a requirement to have read the book. I HAVE read the book and I must say that even then I found the story a bit confusing.

Please, don't repeat my mistake and see this piece of crap.

This movie actually made me cry. Not because it's beautiful or romantic. No, because it was so depressing to see that they made a beautiful independent girl into another mindless zombie that looks everyone else.

If they only would've picked one of the other girls they were looking at. You know, a huge, bad hygiene nerdy girl. THEN it would be interesting. I guess this movie comes down to the fact that if you're not beautiful and popular, you ain't sh*t. And it's movies like this that makes this fact true.

Avoid at all costs. Hit yourself in the with a frying pan instead.

Bullet (1996)

Above expectations.

I really liked this movie. The photography is great and the acting is good, if not great. I can understand why people don't like it, though. The actors are not top notch, and most people are used to that. I think you have to clear your mind from all prejudice before you see it.

Best actor and character: Ted Levine as Louis. Man, that guy was both hilarious and so sad at the same time.

This is probably one of the worst movies I have ever seen. I hate these parts for Nicholas Cage. How come there is not one single flaw in his personality in this movie? And that does not apply only for this film; we have other stupid productions like: Gone in 60 seconds, Snake Eyes and Face/Off.

If you like this movie I bet you're either a teenager, or living in the USA. 1 out of 100000000. Avoid at all costs. Read a book or something instead.
