The Bucket List (2007)
Crap!
My God when did Jack make a decent movie recently? This was the most horrible shite I have seen in months, and I do watch many films a week. Talk about making a film for the academy to consider! WTF! This is to horrific I don't understand how these great actors could agree to do this. But that's OK. They've done great B4. Don't waste your time with this numbnuts of a film. Watch something different who isn't trying so hard to be cute! Talk about predictable flick! Nothing surprised me at all in this movie. Get a grip people! I don't see how this film ever could get a greenlight other than the main cast! Such douchbags need to get punished! This is like watching a ABC in storytelling!
Manhattan Murder Mystery (1993)
bad
really Bad acting in this mediocre movie. The storyline is so thin I think it's got anorectic, must be one of his worst films. I got so bored watching this film, my girlfriend fell asleep. We usually love Allen's films, but this is crap. I feel dizzy now. Think I need to sleep. Or watch something more stimulating at least. O.k. I must write more about how bad Woody Allen's acting is. So over the top. I want to hurt him.
Sommarlek (1951)
Selflived teenage lovestory
Even though it has it's moments. it's not the best Bergmanfilm. A bit too little story (maybe that happens when you try to write about something that you experienced firsthand yourself as a 16 year old nerd boy) Best thing about this film is Annalisa Ericsson as a bad ballerina and the dirty rich old man portraid by Georg Funkquist. The lead actress, Maj-Britt Nilsson is O.K. and does give a nice performance, but her counterpart Birger Malmsten is terrible.
Lousy teatrical acting. The border between what the mirror' reflect and the reality is great! The fluid like state of the different time, past and present is good. I prefer the Sommaren med Monika which is in many ways similar,
Glasblåsarns barn (1998)
Great cast in total waste of film
Horribly bad direction by Mr Grönros. Is he a joke or what? No sense for timing, storytelling and psychology. Even if this film was meant for dumb kids, or is that the problem? Maybe Mr Grönros thinks kids are stupid in general? The logic of this film is questionable at the least. I can't even bare to watch the whole film. It`s actually playing now on the TV. I get so mad. The film is obviously an expensive one and the cinematography is good. The cast is some of the best actors available in Scandinavia. (Stellan Skarsgård, Pernilla August etc) How that happened is amazing! I think that the problem of this project, apart from the director, is that he himself (more or less) has made an adaption of the Maria Gripe book. Indeed it's a fairy tale, but that doesn't mean one can throw away logic or have completely meaningless scenes in the film. Ever heard of dramatic storytelling? As in moving the plot along? The special effects with the birds are ridiculously badly done in a film like this from -98. Again, how the hell could Mr Grönros approve? The final scene is also a display of bad filmmaking. A scene that could have been powerful goes limp due to very bad choices in editing/ direction. (Just read that Leon Flamholc is the editor so there you go - Mr Quality stirkes again) And again logic is forgotten. Memory loss anyone? Now I feel a little bit bad for Mr. Grönros as he sure as hell will read this. (IMDB is BIG) But the guy needs some critisism after spending all that money in this Swedish/ Danish/ Norweigian co-production. Shame on you! This must be one film danish co-producer Peter Albeck-Jensen regrets ever getting involved with.
