Star Wars Jedi: Survivor (2023)
The best Star Wars game yet.
Amazing game play mechanics, and a wonderful storyline with some unexpected twists. There is a lot to do, event after you reach the end of the main storyline. The characters are well developed, as are their relationships. Many of the characters are new, but there is at least one legendary character that everyone will recognize. Even the principal antagonists have a lot of depth; they are far more complex that your typical "bad guys." The graphics are very nice, and the PC game is not very demanding in regard to hardware. Overall, it's one of the best games I've played in recent years. I would highly recommend it to any Star Wars fan.
Seven Pounds (2008)
Grab a box of tissues
This is a great movie if you need a good cry. No spoilers, but this movie does a wonderful job of demonstrating the extent that somebody can go to help others.
F9 (2021)
Halfway decent, as long as you can suspend disbelief.
Yes, there are some truly unrealistic sequences in this movie, but this isn't all that much of a surprise for a group of quasi superheroes who have taken on heavy military-grade equipment (jets, tanks, submarines, etc.) with barely a scratch. The physics and science associated with some of the stuff in this movie doesn't make sense, but it's still not as unbelievable as half of the stuff that Tony Stark invented. If you're okay with the fact that Fast and Furious franchise is no longer about street racing, then this movie should be worth the rental price.
Varsity Blues (1999)
A good movie about leadership and teamwork.
This movie is a good example of instance where the leaders are hidden among the crowd. Many of the adults and this movie are only interested in glory and winning. The only true protagonists are are the kids, whose values go well beyond the game.
Girls Trip (2017)
Not a bad movie, but somewhat predictable.
This movie had a lot of great moments, most of which were featured in the trailer. The plot is pretty predictable, though. Aside from that. It's no better than your average chick flick. There is a great deal of foul language, and some of the characters get carried away in this regard. Overall, it's a pretty decent chick flick.
The Assistant (2019)
No plot, no climax, no reason to see it.
I watch that movie, hoping that some sort of plot would develop, but I was sorely disappointed. The ending is one of the most anti climatic endings I've ever seen. I don't think I've ever given any movie one star rating, but this one doesn't even deserve that.
Going Ape! (1981)
Very underrated
This is one of the most unforgettable movies from my childhood, despite the poor reception by critics.
